Oh, sorry dandy forgot to say...

I find online works well for me, but i know a lot of the lovelies on this thread find the meetings to be a good motivation and kick up the bum. Just depends on what works for you. If you can't do meetings, though, then online isn't lacking in anything, it's just a different offering.

Also, not hungry all the time on WW - find you can eat a great deal actually! Especially filling up on 0pp fruit and veg, or low pp carbs like ryvita.

vnmum · 23/06/2011 09:59

benbon · 23/06/2011 13:26

oh and it took me down to the next stone bracket... ive been trying to get into the 11's for weeks!!

wizzler · 23/06/2011 13:51

Well done Vnmum and Benbon.

Nipping on while I am at work.. a colleague has asked if there are any ways of converting old WW recipies to PP? Does anyone know of a convertor, or an easy way of doing this ?

yummumummy · 23/06/2011 15:09

Hello, I'm new to this thread but desperate for some urgent help. I joined WW about 6 weeks ago and in my first week, lost 5 lbs, 2nd week onwards about 1 to 1.5 lbs per week and this week, gained 1.5 !!!!

I really need to loose about 2 stones by end of September and dont know what to do. Have just started going to the gym, not sure if that would help.

I've been sticking to my 29 dailies and eating about half of my 49 weeklies but it dosent seem to be working as well as I would like.

Feel extremely demotivated and depressed !! Can you please help with some tips. I'll be extremely grateful

benbon · 23/06/2011 15:43

i think the main key to good weight loss with ww is exercise especially if you dont have lots of stones to lose... ive been doing it since feb and have lost 3st 2lbs and for the first couple of weeks just followed the diet. once i added exercise weight loss picked up,i do notice slow losses if i dont exercise!!! im now a stone away but managed to lose 3.5lbs this week and it is defo down to exercise. 20-30 mins 4-5 times a week

Olivetti · 23/06/2011 17:00

Hello, I'm doing this too. Does anyone know the pp value of a medium sized grilled pork chop?? I can't seem to find this on the system at all! Thanks

vnmum · 23/06/2011 17:07

well done benbon
wizzler some of the cookbooks were converted and can be found on the website. Otherwise it is a case of painstakingly putting the recipes in the recipe builder on the website
olivetti i'm afraid i don't know but could you weigh it raw and work it out as pork, raw, for instance

Whitershadeofpale · 24/06/2011 10:41

2lb loss this week so happy. I'm going to the pictures tonight. Does anyone know how many pps in popcorn?

Willabywallaby · 24/06/2011 11:55

Well done benbon getting into the 11s.

I do think losing a lot in the first week can then affect how you feel when you gain at a later date. At my meeting this week there were 2 people who were newbies and lost 7.5lb in their 1st week. One of them didn't look like she had much to lose. I don't think that can be 7.5lb of fat i think that's water etc so you have to take a look at the whole picture. As was said recently it's a marathon not a sprint.

vnmum · 24/06/2011 17:26

well done whiter

DH took me shopping today as he was fed up of seeing me in clothes that were too big, so we hit next and i came out with a pair of jeans and 2 tops all in a size 10! The feeling from that is fab and is actually stopping me from wanting to spend my weeklies on rubbish.

Willabywallaby · 24/06/2011 20:23

Wow! vnmum size 10 well done.

Hi all just joined here and found this so glad.
Joined weightwatchers 7 weeks ago and have lost 11 and a half pound.
I do find it easy apart from when im having a down day.
Looking to lose quite a few stones i have seen a big difference already when buying clothes in same size and had to take back as too big lol.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
We can do this.
:o

Littlefish · 25/06/2011 10:37

vnmum - WOW! Size 10! I can't begin to imagine how fabulous that must feel. Congratulations.

I'm now comfortably wearing a size 18 in most things which I'm sure will sound huge to most of you, but I used to be a size 24 - 26 so to me, it's tiny! Smile

hmc · 25/06/2011 11:50

Littlefish - size 18 doesn't sound huge to me - that was me at the beginning of January!

Littlefish · 25/06/2011 13:24

What size are you now hmc?

herdingcats · 25/06/2011 13:58

vnmum- I'm so Envy but pleased for youGrin. I have not been size 10 for 30 years ShockMaybe by the end of the year I will make it. I am a 14 ,almost a 12 atm.

hmc · 25/06/2011 14:36
