Welcome Hatti. I am nearing the half way point of my long, long journey. I've been doing this for 8 months and have lost 3 stone 9.

Well done on your weight loss so far. Don't be embarrassed or sad about how much you have to lose. Just celebrate how much you've lost so far. It will quickly add up if you track carefully and make good food choices. Smile

vnmum · 20/06/2011 19:28

well done heyho
welcome hatti and well done on your first weeks loss

DirtyMartini · 20/06/2011 19:35

Hatti, that is a wonderful loss for the first week! Be proud. And welcome.

I only lost 1.7 lbs last week (WI was on Sunday) but I did a sneak peek today and was one pound lower again so I am really hoping to have a decent loss come the next Sunday.

Am eating one of those big M&S salads in the plastic bowl - was £1 off because it's a new one with lots of carrot and beetroot. Have put feta on it (50g) and it is super-filling because it is MASSIVE.

androbbob · 20/06/2011 21:54

HeyHo - congratulations on your 50lb loss! Wow!!

littlefish - sounds like a good weekend! You and me back to tracking tomorrow!

dirtymartini - you must have suppa duppa accurate scales with 1.7 loss! Well done though!

So last week we lost a total of 19.5lbs and a total for the Summer Challenge of 47.5lbs - well you all of you!

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 21/06/2011 07:25

Hi all, have been AWOL and fallen off the wagon . So far this month I have put on a pound, then a pound and a half, then last week I couldn't go and ai can't this week. Have been very rubbish. So am drawing a line as if today and tracking again with the aim of sticking to 29 for the next 10 days, allowing an extra few on Fri and Sat, maybe 15 over both days.

There was a big school reunion at the weekend I didn't go to but have been looking at photos. One of the girls is about the size I was before starting this. I looked at her and realised how much I don't want to go back to that size and how easy it would be to slip so have been administering a kickmup my backside.

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/06/2011 07:33

wynken so easily done to gain weight

'sighs'

im just having trouble kick starting myself again, cant be arsed to cook healthy meals for one :(

might just go and buy ready meals and eat with veg/salad but have a freezer of bad yummy stuff to eat

littlefish sounds a fab time was had in cornwall - good luck with wi

welcome newbies :)

Oh Blondes Sad what about going in somewhere like Marks and treating yourself to a whole load of their Count on us (if that's the Marks one) range and some of the puds, they're pretty good and will feel like more of a treat.

If we report in how we've done on a daily basis (and anyone else who is struggling) it will hopefully get us going again. Maybe we should come up with a non food treat we can 'award' ourselves if we stick to what we say we'll do for a week or so.

LoopyLa · 21/06/2011 07:54

Well done Heyho that's fantastic :)

Blondes try not to be too hard in yourself pet. We know you don't want to put lots of weight back on but you're going through some tough stuff right now & sometimes I think tracking while your life is going to rat shit is just too hard & too much pressure on you. What about trying to add a little bit more activity, instead of tracking too strictly, to counteract the yummy naughty food?

stainesmassif · 21/06/2011 08:07

Hi mn weightwatchers. we've been doing ww since the birth of ds2 and i've nearly lost 2 stone, which is fab, but am bfing, so it kind of feels like cheating.

i just have one question - with the bonus points, do you find that if you do / don't use them each week does it make any difference to your weight loss?

many apologies if this has been previously asked or answered on the 7 other threads or 31 prior pages, ds2 is grizzling and i really want to know!

Daclaireh · 21/06/2011 08:46

Morning all,
Sorry been absent all week, my iphone had a terrible accident, funny story really. I've always wondered when I've heard that someone dropped their phone in water, how did you manage that? It never made any sense to me until last week, my phone met with an untimely demise in the toilet :(
Well, Ive STS this week, which I'm pleased with, had a bad weekend with fathers day.
So not having a good start to the week, had to call my husband home from work yesterday as spent the whole morning throwing up and my poor 5mnth DS wasnt happy with me. I'm soo hungry but feel so sick again today so having to just sip water and dry toast, might even try some soup for dinner.

vnmum · 21/06/2011 09:21

Hi all,
blondes I think the ready meals would be a good idea for you getting back on track, wether they be ww, tescos light choices, M&S count on us etc, and like you said bulk them out with salad or veg. I've been on my own this last week and i've been cooking stuff for the kids and then having a ready meal for myself as i find that easier than trying to find something to cook that suits all of us.
I am also addicted to WW chocolate brownie frozen desserts Blush

staines some people find they can eat all their bonus points and still lose a good amount but others find they can't and either have to only eat half or none at all. I think it depends on your body really. Have a play around and see what works for you

wynken i know where you are coming from, it is easy to put the weight on again just from not watching what you are eating. I had a spell where i gained something every week for a few weeks then lost a pound but then gained it back. I then kicked myself up the bum and got tracking and exercising again and it soon came off. Looking at old photos is a big motivator for me too

daclaire glad you are ok with a sts, it is better than a gain

well I am wearing my goal jeans from my wardrobe today!Grin They are my 30 waist levis. They are from about 10 years ago mind but are a classic cut so hopefully still look ok. They are slightly higher waisted than i'm used to wearing (normally wear low waisted) but the last time i remember wearing them was before my wedding and i did squeeze into them. Today they fit nice on my waist and are actually loose on my bum and legs Smile so i know where i've been losing the weight from the most. The strange thing is, is that i am about 6lb heavier now than when i last wore them but they fit better now.

Good luck to all WIs today

wrongdecade · 21/06/2011 11:06

missed another sodding weigh in Sad

and have still lost my folder
been on hols and just eat what I wanted wonder how much I have to rectify :(

grrr feeling crap a weigh in is like a weekly fix I need

congratos on all other people loss's

herdingcats · 21/06/2011 13:20

blondes- i don't comment on peoples gains as a rule, I know how disheartened I would be by one. All we can do is put it behind us and move foward, easier said than done I know .
My motto is I only go forward ,unlike a car I don't have reverse Grin
Dreading my WI tomorrow, but hey ho I can't lose revery week and I must accept that.
Someone said about the phone tracking, unfortunately I am not the owner of a compatible mobile atm.
Good luck everyone for WI this week

vnmum · 21/06/2011 13:28

herding i don't have an iphone, i have an app from android that works just like esource but is independant

BuntyCollocks · 21/06/2011 13:36

Well, had wi today - only 1/2 lb off. Gutted. I've been doing buggyfit,'zumba and pilates, not used any of my activity points or weekly points, and only once (anniversary dinner) came close to using my points allowance.

Leader says not to go to less points, but going to do 29 or as near to it as I can for a week and see how that goes.

Bit worried as going home to the parents and inlaws for the weekend tomorrow, and dh taking me away for a dirty night, complete with champagne and red wine Friday, so it'll probably be crap again next week

I feel like shit. :(

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/06/2011 14:00

loopy and wynken i dont want to gain all ive lost, its easily done :( - think you are right, and i should go to M&S and get tons of ready meals - theirs are the yummiest, plus have pp on htem to make life easy for lazy woman like me

sure i kept weight off due to all the sexercise i had Grin

claireh my friend had an incident with a toilet where my phone went swimming and got drunk in a huge ice bucket at a party years ago - took apart and dried in airing cupboard and all was fine :) - well done for sts

staines all on here will know that I cant eat all 49 and lose weight, if i eat 25/30 then likely to sts or gain :(

but i wont rant about it at the moment lol

vnmum well done on getting into jeans :)

bunty its a loss, well done :)

OP posts:
vnmum · 21/06/2011 14:04

bunty it is still a loss. I have to say though that if you are not even eating all your dailies and increasing your exercise your body might be holding onto fat. some people actually find that they lose better if they eat all their allowances, some on the other hand don't but it is important to eat at least 29 per day so you don't go into starvation mode

Daclaireh · 21/06/2011 14:16

Blondes - I cant get my iphone apart :( the insurance are going to take it and if they can make it work they will and if not they will replace but it could take up to 4 weeks :( I'm lost without out the WW app, thats how I did all my pointing, oh well, ive moved my laptop downstairs hoping that will encourage me to keep counting

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/06/2011 14:20

can you not have a loan phone till then?

OP posts:
BuntyCollocks · 21/06/2011 14:50

Thanks, vnmum and blondes

Onwards, and hopefully downwards!

Daclaireh · 21/06/2011 15:34

not from the insurance :( ive lent another phone from my BIL but it just sends txts and rings people :( god how spoiled do I feel!

Whitershadeofpale · 21/06/2011 15:44

I've felt a bit down this week. I'd been losing 1-2lbs a week and feeling great (got my shiny 7) over 5 weeks. when I went to my WI on Thursday I was expecting the same but had put on 1/2 lb and I had no idea why. All I can think of is totm (I have an implant so don't reall bleed but do get all other symptoms e.g cramps, back ache etc).

I just been doing the same this week and still feel like I'm doing well but every other week I've looked forward to WI but this week I'm nervous.

Littlefish · 21/06/2011 16:07

Bunty - losing half a pound a week means a 2 stone loss over a year. It really is important to use your daily points. I use all of mine, every day, and I've lost almost every week for 8 months. (I've had 2 weeks when I stayed the same, and one or two weeks when I put on half a pound I think).

Don't be disheartened. It probably just means that you'll get a better result next week, but please eat your daily points. Smile

BuntyCollocks · 21/06/2011 17:10

littlefish thanks for the support. I just seem to be on a ridiculous number of points (50!) if I include my bf ones, and I can't see how to eat that much and lose weight :(

vnmum · 21/06/2011 17:45

bunty just try and eat at least 29 a day and if you happen to go over one or two days then you don't have to worry Smile
