Dirty - I weigh 16 stone exactly and I'm on 34 points. I think I've dropped down 2 points per stone. Losing 5 points at once doesn't sound right at all. try putting your info in again online in the settings area and see what happens.

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 12/06/2011 21:22

just checking in, has been a hellish busy couple of weeks here!

anrobbob I got to goal 2.5 weeks ago! Am trying to find the right balance for me for maintenance now, although a couple more pounds off won't hurt!

for the new members looking for motivation (and you sound like you are where I was 6 months ago including the breastfeeding!)
height 5'7" (just under)
start weight 13 st 10.5 lb (baby 6 weeks old)
goal weight 10 stone 0 lb (baby 6 months old)
weight at last weigh in 9 st 12 lb (10 days ago)
Dress size at start - probably an 18 but was wearing my maternity jeans!
Dress size now 8/10 depending on shop - my size 10 fatface jeans are baggy now! (I have no clothes at all that fit - shopping spree due in August when I go back to work and have some money!)

And re: goal weights -I could have stopped paying at 11 stone ish, but I don't think I would have stuck to it properly, I needed the real target to aim at IYSWIM?

off to try and catch up now...

tiredemma · 12/06/2011 21:29

Hello everyone-I can't keep up today, been offline all weekend. I was terrible yesterday, H and I had an awful fall out on Saturdey and I was too poorly to eat really yesterday. Ended up only having 10PP ,not a good thing at all. Still finding it difficult today as my appetitie has gone. I am not a comfort eater, just feel sick if there is an upset. Will really have to try and pull myself together ,as MIL is arriving Thursday. Great ,not Sad
I will set a goal ,although I think I might just give up for a bit ,can't stress over this as well as everything else.

NoWayNoHow · 13/06/2011 17:31

Hello all

Took my head out the sand this morning and actually pointed up what I ate yesterday. Turns out I have 8 weeklies left till Thursday morning! Not a snowball's chance of me losing this week, then, as I'm too close to goal to use so many weeklies and get away with it Sad

Oh well, it's my own fault. Well, probably more my neighbour's fault whose homemade banana and choc chip muffins were impossible to resist!

How's everyone today?

OnlyWantsOne · 13/06/2011 17:33

how many PP do you think this is - veg, chopped, fried in olive oil (only a splash) with garlic and tin toms and herbs, oh an a handful of lentils??

BartletForAmerica · 13/06/2011 17:43

1 PP for each 5ml of olive oil

4 PP for 50g of dried red lentils

HTH

Humphreythehamster · 13/06/2011 20:49

Hi all, have a question for you. If I'm also doing 30 day shred is it possible that I won't lose weight as the exercise is building muscle? I'm wondering as I've STS but my clothes are definitely getting looser still

NoWayNoHow · 13/06/2011 20:56

humphrey that's not straw grasping, don't worry! 1lb of muscle is a third of the volume of 1lb of fat. So yes, you may have sts but you will be smaller if you're exercising.

mistlethrush · 14/06/2011 09:22

Size smaller trousers are loose here Grin

Pinkglow · 14/06/2011 09:33

I lost 3lbs this week taking my loss to 6lbs so far, I wanted to get to 9 and a half stone before Jully and it looks like I may do that.

Exercise wise I'm going to try the NHS couch to 5k when DH gets off his set of shifts. www.nhs.uk/Livewell/c25k/Pages/couch-to-5k.aspx

OnlyWantsOne · 14/06/2011 10:06

NHS link

well one om the 3lb loss pinkglow!!!

NoWayNoHow · 14/06/2011 10:45

On phone which Is stupid and which I hate, so can't name check, but was just wondering if the recipe tread is being used still?

BartletForAmerica · 14/06/2011 11:29

Pink, thanks for the link. I've just downloaded the podcasts on to my phone, so I can avoid buying a watch. I used to run a bit, but got SPD while pregnant and haven't run for over about 18 months.

Humphrey, not strawgrasping! Have you measured yourself? I keep thinking about it but am not sure I want to see the numbers. The scales are bad enough!

Mistle, well done the smaller trousers!

vnmum · 14/06/2011 12:39

well done pink on the loss and mistle on the trousers.

I have definately started with DD cold so no running for me this week. DD still off nursery as she has now had the runs and i'm due on, and DH just gone to sunny california for 9 days Envy, so i'm generally feeling a bit sorry for myself and trying very hard not to resort to cake as a comfort food

SpringFollows · 14/06/2011 12:57

Hi everyone, been awol. Stressful time at work. WI tonight I have no hope of losing, no hope to STS, i am just hoping that I have not put on too much. I am feeling depressed about it, but it is my own fault. I have NOT been tracking, and I have been grabbing food on the run.

sigh.

Have not been to WI either for a few weeks as life got in the way- I have to pay for the missed weeks, is that right? (damn).

Starting weight - 11 stone 4.
Last weigh in 10 stone 13.

My aim- to be 10 stone 7 by end of June (hahahahhaha!"!!!) Not sure the pub lunch, bottle of wine with my cousin helps!

androbbob - lose 10lbs
vnmum - lose 7lb (if i lose more its a bonus)
Wizzler : Lose 7lbs
blondes - lose 4 lbs to get back to goal
OWO - lose a stone (to be 11.10 by my birthday July 30th)
Littlefish - get to 4stone loss by mid July. Have a personal exercise plan put together at the gym.
HeyH0 - Lose 7kg by the last day of July.
NoWay - to lose 4.5lbs to get past goal again and a few lbs the other side
DirtyMartini - lose a stone (current weight 14st 11.5)
benbon - be 11 stone by end of july (currently 12st flat)

Daclaireh - lose a stone by summer hols
Bartlet - lose 7lbs
herding -be at top of BMI by end of July, lose 12.5lb
SpringFollows - just track. Don't cheat. Be near 10 stone 7 by end of June.

gemmummy · 14/06/2011 14:13

gemmummy - Well done on your weight loss so far. By my calculation, if you lose 2lbs a week from now until the end of the year, you will lose 48lbs! That would take you to your goal weight. Did you mean you wanted to to get to 13 stone by the end of the summer or something like that?

In any case, 2lbs a week is doable, but you will have to be very disciplined. Half a pound, to 2 pounds a week is considered a healthy weight loss.

I've lost 50lbs since October and my average weekly weightloss is 1.6lbs.

Welcome Korma - I think I recognise your name from the meet up threads - I think you're local ish to me.

Re. low point meals: I think that an ordinary roast dinner is low in points, as long as you don't roast the potatoes in oil, or each the roast chicken skin!

mistlethrush · 14/06/2011 14:49

Sweet potatoes are lower GI than normal ones too.... Grin

froot · 14/06/2011 15:05

andro I am your missing gold member ! Lost a lb this week . Am 4 1/2 under my ww goal (but 3 or 4 over what I would like to be when I go on hols next month )
