Hello everyone. Just a quickie from me. It's the last day of our fabulous holiday in the Caribbean. it's been so so so lovely. However, it's been crap food wise and I reckon I've put on at least half a stone in 2 weeks. I'll do an un-official weigh in on Saturday when I get home. Official weigh in is on Tuesday so how much do you ladies reckon I can lose by then???????

Speak to you on saturday.

vnmum · 10/06/2011 07:56

Littlefish glad you have had a good time, i am still Envy
If you drink lots of water when you get back to try and combat any retention that could help. i have lost a few lbs in a few days by eating nothing but veg for lunch and dinner, maybe with a little protein like chicken salad for lunch and bns soup for dinner, but that is a very drastic way of doing it and i was starving all the time. You could just make healthy choices when you are back, stick to your 29 and take any gain on the chin and get back on track next week.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/06/2011 08:59

3 lbs off for me - bloody miracle tbh

4 lbs to go .......... so another 2 months then lol

well done Blondes
Littlefish, glad you enjoyed your hol

DirtyMartini · 10/06/2011 09:09

Hello all - this thread moves fast!

Dazzling, I am an online-only member and find it works better for me than meetings. It just seems I am more likely to stay on track if I'm answering only to my own conscience, iyswim. (The leader at the meetings I've been to, the only local ones I could get to really, was quite patronising and orange-tanned and I just found that when she gave me advice, my instinct was to rebel against it. I am clearly still a sulky teen at heart when it comes to my weight!)

OWO, how are you getting on with upping your intake a bit? Are you going for the protein option, or the "switching up to full fat" option? Hope it's enjoyable either way.

Littlefish, Envy. A small gain must surely be worth it for a holiday like that! I bet it'll come off again before you know it.

I have had a good first half week apart from a big stumble on Wednesday evening; I'd had a bad headache all day (stupidly did some proofreading without adequate lighting for several hours the night before) and felt kind of nauseated. When I finally took some nurofen it lifted away & I was suddenly ravenous and scoffed loads of bread and butter before falling into bed. It's all a carb-induced blur so I'm just going to assume I used all my weekly points and be super-focused for the remainder of the week.

DirtyMartini · 10/06/2011 09:10

Oh that's good, blondes, xposted with you. Forgot to say well done to everyone else who's lost, as well.

vnmum · 10/06/2011 10:00

well done blondes. you may find that the rest comes off ok actually because over the past weeks, albeit unintentionally, you have mixed up your food intake which can help your metabolism Smile

hmc · 10/06/2011 10:41

Well done on losses Newchoos and Blondes (3lb eh? - good going), and commiserations on gain Iheart - but at least you know why...better than being good all week and still getting a gain; hope it works out for you this week though

Littlefish - you may be pleasantly suprised when you get on the scales at home - fingers crossed for you that any weight gain is tiny, and am glad you've had a lovely holiday

OOOoh I've been such a porker. WI was only Wednesday and I have had a couple of bad evenings since (Weds and Thurs) and used 46 of my 49 weeklies already (arggghhhh), and am going to a friends for dinner tomorrow (double argggghhhhhhh). Was really tired yesterday and there is definitely a link - when I am tired I feel more hungry and less able to resist the impulse to eat. Going to get a bit more sleep to increase my willpower for rest of week, since am surely going to need it! Major sweated work out scheduled for this afternoon!

OnlyWantsOne · 10/06/2011 13:34

Well done Blondes Grin

Yes, will try to eat better -

But I missed breakfast Blush as was just not hungry - been up since 5 though!

Lunch - wrap with salad and slice of ham and some mozerella. About 1/3 of a packet - how many PP do we think that is? 7?

IHeartIona · 10/06/2011 16:55

OWO according to the online tracker, 40g is 3 pp, so check the size of your pack

OnlyWantsOne · 10/06/2011 19:01

iheartiona 1/3 packet of mozzarella light is 1pp isn't it Confused

Large boiled egg and toast for dinner :) as DP stuck in London.

The bloody dog had chewed one of my teddy bears :( I genuinely cried

Is it normal for it to not feel to bad now I'm a week and 2 days in I've made changes, no butter, light dairy etc WW chocolate rather than whole packet of jafffa cakes - it no longer feels bad!!

IHeartIona · 10/06/2011 20:49

Ah, 3 pp for the mozzarella was for full fat, will check half fat for you. Otherwise 7pp sounds about right for your wrap Smile

IHeartIona · 10/06/2011 20:52

Light mozzarella is 1pp for 30g or 2pp for 40g. Wwt tortilla wraps are 3pp, other brands might be more. Hth

DirtyMartini · 10/06/2011 21:28

"Was really tired yesterday and there is definitely a link - when I am tired I feel more hungry and less able to resist the impulse to eat."

yes! I am completely the same... also, like lost of people, if stressed I reach for food all too often. It's all very well recognizing we have these patterns; I just wish I knew how to break them :(

I had to stop working today and go pick up DD from nursery early as she'd seemed a little bit unwell and they rang me (she is fine now though). The stress & distraction of concern for her, plus having to stop work before I'd finished, made me go from having a model day to losing focus and scoffing random scraps of food for the next several hours. I have used up soooo many of my weekly points now, it's quite worrying. Only have till Monday before I get a new set, but still.

I am now drinking Earl Grey without milk, eating a banana and pretending the random scraps were "dinner".

gemmummy · 10/06/2011 21:48

Hello all, quick question. Does anyone know what the PP value of Frankie and Bennies chicken wings starter? The hot and spicy ones?

Willabywallaby · 11/06/2011 08:15

Have a great weekend everyone, I'm off to London later to see a friend so pp probably going on booze Blush.

Vajazzler · 11/06/2011 10:30

Hi everyone, i am a lurker and havent posted since i said hi on page 12. I lost 5lbs last week and 5lbs the week before. I am gradually finding my way through the plan and am trying to find the lowest pp value options.
Its encouraging to see everyone doing so well on the plan.

androbbob · 11/06/2011 11:19

Morning all - just spent half an hour re-setting the tracker - so this week so far we have lost 18.5lbs! That is with 17 peoples weights - so well done!

WELL DONE to the losers - Onlywants, Daclaire, Benbon, Whizzler, Willaby, Mistlethrush, Herding, Genmummy, Noway, hmc, newchoos, tiredmamma

COMISERATIONS to lola and iona - if you know why you had a gain then that is half the battle

Also WELL DONE to Blondes - one of our Goal Members

In the Goal Gold Members CLub I have VNMum, Blondes, Lucky, Noway and Tilly - I am sure there is at least one more but I cant find it on the thread - help!!

I know LFSusan and Shoulders were nearly there soon - remind us me of your current status!

I may have missed some: - let me know your losses this week and I will update the sheet!

Checking back - on our first pre-christmas thread we lost 137lbs, post christmas we lost 203lbs and Easter we lost 148lbs - some of those pounds will be the same but even so - a massive achievement!

We are now on our Summer Challenge - the Easter one got a bit lost, so we will draw a line under that and move on.

The aim is to set a goal for the challenge - there are 7 weeks (including this one) to the start of the summer holidays - so what do you want to lose? List it below and I will track where everyone is upto!

androbbob - lose 10lbs

Willabywallaby · 11/06/2011 12:32

Thanks for that androbbob

Collision · 11/06/2011 12:38

I am back! With a vengeance!

Am focused and exercising and still trying to work out how to use the pedometer that I purchased last week. Am trying to navigate my way round the WW site but it is difficult imvho.

Have lost my pp calc. Can someone point a bar for me please?

Littlefish · 11/06/2011 13:04

Wellllllllllllll I'm back at home and have done my unofficial weigh in. To my utter surprise, amazement and delight, I only seem to have put on about 2lbs! Grin.

The thing I'm most delighted about is that it is starting to show me that I am capable of exercising relatively good judgement, even under testing circumstances. I'll have to be really good for the next few days though or there is always a danger it'll catch up with me!

I'll catch up properly with you all later when I'm posting from my laptop rather than iPad.

vnmum · 11/06/2011 14:15

well done vajazzler and that is good news littlefish
