Well done Only gemmummy and NoWay!

I think you will look spot on tonight NoWay hope it goes well.

I had a dinner last night that was work related, trying to find a new job so (hopefully) discretely mentioned I was looking.

WI for me tonight.

Swimming lesson for DS2 at 11.30 so gives me a chance to have a proper swim.

vnmum · 08/06/2011 10:36

well done daclaireh, wizzler onlywants, gemmummy
commiserations lola and blondes but blondes, the others are right, take it easy, try and make healthy choices when you can but don't put too much pressure on yourself. You won't put it all back on again because you are focused but we all have blips and you are entitled to have many blips at the moment. It's just about staying in overall control in the bigger picture. to be honest i would be worried if you started to go mad on cutting down on food to get rid of this gain as with all the things you are dealing with at the moment it could very easily become something you find you can control and therefore could become dangerous (i was told this by my SIL who is a recovered anorexic when she was worried that i could be susceptoble to it with all the stress i was under at a certain time)

I personally have had a weird week. I have been doing more running but eating crap somedays and for the last 2 days i haven't bothered tracking, don't even know why. A sneak peak this morning (a day early) and it looks like i have gained 2lbs but will see what tomorrows official WI says. I am thinking of trying to lose 7lbs by mid july for my summer ball which is about 5 weeks away, so i think that is realistic, providing i get my arse into gear.

vnmum · 08/06/2011 10:37

noway you will look great in the outfit for tonight Smile

androbbob · 08/06/2011 13:17

noway Like the top and you will look great! Not a style for me but I can 'see' it! Have a good evening!

vnmum - get your arse in gear please! Grin Plenty of time to July! The Bigger Picture is the Key.

genmummy - well done - great start!

only - also well done!

willabywallaby - never mind - a minor blip - you will be determined to be back in the pay free 'zone' for the next week perhaps?

Had small jacket spud and two tablespoons of beans and loads of salad, Muller light yog and now melon and rasps - got a nectarine for later - paragon of virtue me [not]

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/06/2011 13:18

good luck tonight noway

and dont fear everyone, i love my food too much to ever not never eat iyswim

tucking into a tuna ceaser salad at moment as did it all, then reliesed there was no chicken at work lol

OnlyWantsOne · 08/06/2011 13:22

noway that top is really lovely :) have a good night!!

gemummy well done :)

Im off to the library with the children so my 4 year old will have to be quiet for at least 10 minutes so, brisk 20 min walk there, and back - dope DD2 will sleep in her pram

salad wrap for lunch, 7pp

my tracker isnt working today, feel a tad like im being ripped off by the WW website, as frankly, I hate it. The message boards are hard for me to get into too...

hmc · 08/06/2011 13:33

Have not been here for a while due to problems with BT line (it took them 3 engineer visits and 15 days to resolve!!!!) and regretably don't have the stamina to catch up on the posts I have missed, so apologies for not name checking etc, just please accept a general well done for everyone who has lost over the past week or so! Did manage to click on your link for the top NoWay and I think it will look very chic with the black trousers etc, good luck this evening.

Last Wednesday I lost 2.5lbs and have WI due tonight where I expect I will sts due to AF and weekend away in York where I kept raiding mini bar for chilli nuts and lager. 4lbs from goal weight now but may go under that - still unsure whether what is going on around my tummy region is a bit of residual stomach fat or loose skin which no amount of dieting will affect...

A couple of weeks ago someone posted a very simple recipe suggestion - so easy and obvious sounding but not one I had ever previously considered, of spreading perhaps 1tbsp of pesto on a salmon fillet and oven baking it wrapped in foil. Had that for my dinner last night using basil pesto and it was lush - so thanks to whoever that was!

Right - hopefully back to posting often so I can keep up with what is going on

HaughtyChuckle · 08/06/2011 15:23

Had a bit of a bad day today always hungry :(

gemmummy · 08/06/2011 15:30

haughtychuckle what have you got in that you can snack on?

mistlethrush · 08/06/2011 15:33

Lost 3lbs today - which given I missed a week because I was in the Lakes trying not to eat too much icecream or too many cakes, I'm very pleased with - particularly as its TotM too.... Grin

I like doing a cheating version of pesto for pasta - large bunch of basil, bit of garlic, cottage cheese - whizz in food processor - add a small amount of the cooking water from the pasta to warm it (and make it creamy too) - pour over pasta. The sauce is good - pasta you can choose how much to have - and if you had it with say salad, you could use some of the sauce on that too instead of dressing....

HaughtyChuckle · 08/06/2011 15:42

well I have those lemon slice things

I ran out of Mallows :(

LolaLadybird · 08/06/2011 18:23

Well done Gem and Only on your losses.

NoWay - good luck for tonight. Your outfit sounds great and spot on for the occasion. As you say, just be pleasant and fiendly and you will be fine. Hope you have a lovely time.

hmc - welcome back, glad you have your comms problems sorted!

Am back on track today but has been really hard work after my recent digressions - have quickly got used to eating more!! Have had really bad sweet tooth cravings this afternoon but managed to stave them off with the odd WW liquorice sweet and zumba tonight which will earn me some activity points. Cottage pie for lunch (school dinner - v yum) so just salad and a sandwich tonight.

OnlyWantsOne · 08/06/2011 18:24

Ive just picked... mouthful of kid's rice, two slices of aubergine that were left over from the veg lasagne ive made... naughty naughty me

why is it that i can only eat about 10 of my PP by evening? Then my evening meal tonight will be 4PP -

wizzler · 08/06/2011 18:39

Noway.. that sounds perfect.. have a good time

tiredemma · 08/06/2011 20:02

hi all-
well done on your losses!!

Had a stressful week of nights (again)- however I did lose a lb again at tonights weigh in.

Im half disappointed and half happy- disappointed because i was hoping that I would have a better loss, but happy that I am still losing weight - just v e r y s l o w l y.

I brought the proper points calculator tonight so hope that this helps over the next week- I found that I wasnt tracking properly.

Inspiring to read of all your fantastic weight loss acheivements so I will stick at it (might just need a kick up the arse every now and again!)

Willabywallaby · 08/06/2011 20:40

1lb off for me tonight which was good. Did say to leader I should still be paying since 4lb off goal but she said not to worry she was having a funny night so got mixed up and I don't need to start paying again since I'm so close to goal. I feel now as if I should get there so she can send off the paperwork and I can properly be free!

Well done tiredemma you'll get there...

I'm thinking of getting a pp calculator since I do miss my app.

herdingcats · 08/06/2011 21:27

Well done everyone. All good losses.
WI tonight for me and I lost 2.5lb, can't quite believe itGrin . Especialyy as we were on holiday last week too. I have now got my 10% award and dropped into the next stone brackett. Another 0.5 lb and i will get my 3rd silver 7. I feel like a cheshire catGrinGrin Grin.
If anyone feels disheartened ,don't be its such a buzz when you reach another milestone.

froot · 09/06/2011 00:05

Am back after being time-starved due to a weekend conferece (no counting points) a wedding (no counting points) a bank holiday (oops no counting points) and half term ( guess what no counting points) . And it's been totm. But weirdly I think I must subconsciously be internally programmed to count points now as despite going up and down a bit over the past 2 weeks I am now a pound less than 2 weeks ago before conference . Have been shredding throughout which has probably helped - now just 2 more goes on level 3 and will have done each level 10 times . So nearly time to unwrap my 'ripped in 30'- anyone tried to rip yet ?

heyho I am going to try your yoghurt and oat breakfast - sounds good . At the moment I usually have a big egg White ommelette made with egg from a '2 chicks' carton - it's only 5 points for the whole 500g carton and I pour out about a quarter to a third, sprinkle with chilli flakes and dot with ketchup. About 3 Pp I reckon using frylight. On work days I wrap it up in foil as it's quite nice cool ( can't eat breskfast toooo early makes me feel pukey) . Another breakfast fave is fried mushrooms tomatoes an egg and 2 rashers turkey bacon for only 3 Pp.

wizzler deffo keep your goal high . I have a mental goal and a ww goal . I have only paid for 3 weeks meetings in the past 26 months as I have managed to stay within 5 lb of my ww goal apart from those 3 weeks . My mental goal is a stone less than my ww goal plus 5 (for my height I should be 8.6 (i would be skeletal at that!!) to 10.6- my ww goal is 10.2 and my mental goal is 9.7). Am still not quite at my mental goal 3 lb to go!! Would have cost me a fortune if my ww goal was lower and i might not have carried on as the cost would have put me off going , as my mental goal will be difficult to stay at - it's a 'holiday coming ' goal rather than a everyday happy weight (which I am now) goal.

Blimey it's late - taken me ages to catch up on thread . Night night !

SpringFollows · 09/06/2011 07:21

Morning all, sorry have been awol. Have had visitors, have had stressful times at work. I have not been to WI at all as no babysitting on Tuesday. GRRRRRR. I did a WI myself and think I have stayed the same which is better than I could have hoped for considering!

HMC that salmon recipe was mine and I am so glad you like it! Another one which we adore (but I am not sure on points) is to top a salmon filet with lots of fresh finely sliced ginger, a good glob of soy sauce and the same again of sweet chilli sauce wrap in foil and bake at 200 celsius for 20 minutes. It tastes simply amazing.... the soy becomes all caramalised and it tastes like a japanese mirin glazed salmon.

I am back to tracking. I am off work today and have a pub lunch planned. So I am planning for Beck's blue and a salad. Yesterday I forgot to take my lunch to work and grabbed an M&S falafel wrap. I was horrified to doscover through my points calculator that it is a whopping 12 points. And I did not even feel like I had eaten after it was finished! I need to load up on fruit and veggies as i feel if I eat them en masse I am not 'dieting' and so find myself slipping into the mindset of deprivation. Very counterproductive. I need to lose an average of 2 pounds a week to hit my first personal goal for august. I am going to stick that stat into my tracker for inspriation!

Hope you all have great days,

SF

dazzlingdeborahrose · 09/06/2011 07:22

Is anybody doing WW on-line without meetings? Just wondering how people find it. Thanks

wizzler · 09/06/2011 07:25

Froot.. thanks.. that makes sense! ( and well done on the loss!)

Dazzling.. I find I have to go to meetings as otherwise I cheat Blush

vnmum · 09/06/2011 08:14

well done mistle, tiredemma, willaby, herding on the losses
welcome back hmc
well done froot on staying in control

Official WI for me this morning and it is a 1.5lb Gain but my body fat % is the same so i'm figuring its alot of water (am due on in a few days and do feel bloated)

I'm off to docs again today as last night when i was really bloated i found a golf ball sized lump just above my belly button, it went when i led down so i'm thinking a hernia, god knows how i've managed that but thought i'd better get it checked and i'm hoping it doesn't mean i have to stop exercising.

good luck to any other thursday WIers

Humphreythehamster · 09/06/2011 09:26

Onlywantsone seems we are almost identical in our start/finish weights :) Well done on all the losses, fantastic!

I'm having to fight really hard not to weigh myself daily. I know that's not good but I'm a real results junkie ans as I've only been doing this 3 weeks the weight is still coming off quite quickly :(

OnlyWantsOne · 09/06/2011 09:26

dazzle Im going WW online but ive just changed my subscription from the 3 month one, to a monthly pass - and Im going to start attending meetings, because Im just not using the WW website etc, I find it pretty horrific to navigate around!!

Ive only just figured out what TOTM is!! I still havent had one, since DD was born and she's now 6 months!!

herding thats a really good loss, how much have you lost in total now? :)

noway hope you're evening out last night was lots of fun

OnlyWantsOne · 09/06/2011 09:27
