I am just starving today :(

Humphreythehamster · 07/06/2011 13:32

Dirty, I'm doing the same as you, started at 14st this time though. I'm 5'7" and anything less than 10st7lb and I start looking scrawny Hmm

Activia yoghurt and a banana for brekkie today, have just done my first day of workout 2 of 30DS and it was TOUGH! The results are showing already so I'm pleased with WW and 30DS.

Is the members only bit on the WW website any good? Whats on it?

mistlethrush · 07/06/2011 13:51

I don't expect to lose 2lbs a week. On the old plan I struggled to lose 0.5 a week - even though I was on minimum points and worked out hard for 40 mins 4 or 5 time a week (and walked dog). If I do - it will mean I get to goal sooner than I expect - but if I don't it will mean I'm not dispirited by the slow progress.

The members section is good - I much prefer tracking on-line and you can look foods up easily there too. Also fills in goals and a chart tracking weight loss etc.. nice to see it going down.

Herding - take it easy - and I hope you're feeling better soon. Awake - scary!

vnmum · 07/06/2011 13:53

well done LFS on 3lb loss
herding glad the op went well, I too have a summer ball coming up but mines not until mid july.
humphrey i think the members only area of ww is the bit that has the online tracker, database and calculator

HaughtyChuckle · 07/06/2011 14:17

well done LFS on 3lbs

How is all??

DirtyMartini · 07/06/2011 15:03

Wow, Daclaireh, it never occurred to me that it could be done by Xmas! Even if I don't count on it happening for sure, that's an inspiring thought.

I have had my meals at all the wrong times today - breakfast at 9:30 and lunch at 2:30 despite being up before 6. I work from home and am having a really busy day. Need to run to shops locally before I go out to walk over to nursery for the dc. I'm so out of the habit of planning meals that aren't hugely high in points, not sure what to have for dinner. I wish our local shops were a bit better!

At lunch I had egg noodles with lots of very finely chopped garlic, chilli flakes, broccoli and soy sauce. And a teaspoon of groundnut oil to make it a bit more slithery. Was not the lowest in points but I know from experience it will make me fart stop me wanting to snack at all for hours and hours.

benbon · 07/06/2011 16:01

OnlyWantsOne · 07/06/2011 19:53

Ello blondes

DirtyMartini · 07/06/2011 19:58

Hi Blondes. I think you are doing awesomely to even keep it ticking over in the back of your mind at the moment.

I am sitting scoffing steamed veg in a big bowl with a tiny scrape of butter and some salt. Need to get some of the herb salt we used to sell at a health food shop I worked in years ago; it is gorgeous stuff. here

DirtyMartini · 07/06/2011 19:58

Eat something!

OnlyWantsOne · 07/06/2011 21:34

3 chipollatas a handful of plain cooked pasta and some salad

Followed by a bowl of cocopops and skimmed milk

wizzler · 07/06/2011 21:42

2lbs off for me this week.. not sure how as I did bugger all not much exercise. Still, I have now lost 25.5 lbs I think, and stopped behind with my leader to discuss setting a goal Shock.

Anyone got any advise on this? Apparently if I lose 4 more lbs I will be within healthy BMI, so I can declare myself at goal, stop paying Grin and continue to lose weight if I wish to.. if thats right, I shall do that !

LolaLadybird · 07/06/2011 22:05

Welcome to Humphrey and Martini

Herding - glad the op went well and hope you're healing OK

Well done Susan and Wizzler on losses. Wizzler - must be v exciting to be so near your goal.

Blondes - don't be too hard on yourself. I can understand that you want to stick with WW and not undo your hard work but please don't put any more pressure on yourself. Other people (ie. me!) have bad days and weeks without trying to also cope with the emotional stress that you are going through at the moment. Try and be kind to yourself {sending hugs}.

WI this morning and I have put 1lb on but am pleased with that in the circumstances. Could have been a lot worse given my complete disregard for tracking last 2 weeks. Need to lose 2.5 lbs to hit first stone next week so am going to focus.

LittleFriendSusan · 07/06/2011 22:07

Well done Daclaireh on 1.5 loss.

Herding glad the procedure went well and hope you're not feeling too sore...

Humphrey - well done for doing L2 of Shred - I need to get motivated again as I was really enjoying doing that and C25K... haven't done any exercise for almost 2 weeks (other than walking) and I can really tell. Someone give me a big kick up the proverbial!

Re WW website - I use the online tracker & recipe builder and both are v good...

benbon - well done on 1lb loss!

Only - no wonder you're hungry!! It's not about starvation - get some food down you! [wags finger]. Actually, just read a little further on and see you have eaten now, but still!

blondes - chin up, it will take your body a few weeks to settle down again anyway if you've been struggling to eat properly... don't be so hard on yourself. I'm impressed that you're even thinking about WW anyway.

Well I've had a pretty crap day food-wise. Keep forgetting to track too as I'm out of the habit a bit. Work has been pretty intense last couple of days with meetings / workshops all day, lunch provided. Tried to go for the healthier options but today was mainly sandwiches, pastries etc and nothing else to choose from. Also only had banana for breakfast both days as running late and very disorganised, so starving by lunchtime. Had veg stir fry & noodles this evening followed by Lindor choc egg (have guessed at 5PP?) & large glass of vino Blush. Reckon I'm around 39PP today and the same-ish yesterday. Oops.

LittleFriendSusan · 07/06/2011 22:14

X-posted.

Wizzler - well done on loss :) I am 1lb off healthy BMI but not officially set my goal yet? Not sure what to do either... I think I want to lose at least another 1/2 stone, just don't know whether to set WW goal a bit higher so don't pay any more? Suppose I should discuss it with WW leader next week...

Lola sorry you gained but 1lb is nothing, sure it'll be off by next WI!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/06/2011 22:52

well done wizzler

and i need to try and get myself back on track or will be a porker again :(

OP posts:
androbbob · 07/06/2011 23:13

blondes - you will not be a porker - we will not let you. Just start slowly and try to be as wise with your choices as you can. Your little gain this week is surely and purely water and will disappear over the next few weeks. Just don't beat yourself up about it. Baby steps - a meal at a time is the way to go - roll on Friday and your scales will have moved down.

LFSusan - way to go - so close to that mini quiche of the Gold Members! Yeah! Definately set target at a weight that is at the top end of your range - will save you a fortune and if you lose another half stone then that gives you some leeway for future holiday gains!

whizzler - ditto above! The list of those getting to goal is growing!

lola - get that focus - we so want you to get your stone award next week!

noway - good to hear the smaller jeans still fit! I still remember Norma being excited twirling away in her size 14's - she is prob too slinky for them now!

vnmum - get you - a dress that may end up being too big! You could get it taken in for prob around £20 and it will fit perfectly and is cheaper than getting a new one.

Hello to Only, DirtyM, herding, JoJo, Daclaireh and the other who slipped in while I wasnt looking!

Willabywallaby · 07/06/2011 23:47

Just wanted to say hello, one day I will learn to name check. Just been out for a work related meal, think weigh in tomorrow will take me out of the 'free zone'. ah well I miss my online tracking and recipe finder.

OnlyWantsOne · 08/06/2011 08:13

Morning all! First proper weigh in - first week of WW done and I've lost 6lb!!

Was 13.4
Now 12.12
Goal: 9.10

gemmummy · 08/06/2011 08:43

hello all, WI today, another 2lbs off. That's 9lbs in 4 weeks, and the last week was the easiest so far as I'm starting to get more organised and plan ahead. But for those of you that are struggling, I just wanted to say, I am not depriving myself, I went out for dinner on Monday and had a steak and mazzarella wrap and pot wedges and I had a cornetto yesterday, and a few glasses of wine another night, so you can still have your treats. I have home cooked a lot more stuff but it's been so filling, the online recipe builder is a very good tool because I don't just use WW recipes, and I can then jig them around to check out the PP value. I have also halved the amount of tea and coffee I drink and have fruit teas half the time now so I save PP that I would have used for milk. It can be done!

NoWayNoHow · 08/06/2011 09:33

Hey all

No time to name check, have idiot from management company due to knock on door at any moment to have a look at some snagging problems with the house.

Congrats to losers, commiserations to sts and gains.

Did a cheeky WI this morning a day early as I have a super important dinner to attend tonight and wanted to see if I'd made any progress towards getting rid of the IL's weight. Seems I've lost 2lbs, which is good especially considering it's coming to the end of TOTM and I definitely feel more jelly of belly than usual.

Really nervous about tonight, it's a big deal, there are going to be some important people there related to DH's new job, but I am going to stick with the theory that if I am just pleasant and friendly then I should get along fine! Dress code is lounge suit, and I'm wearing this metallic top under a black jacket with sleeves rolled up, black trousers and sandals, and very understated diamante earrings and ring. Smart enough?
