Thanks for the welcome guys :)
Day 2 of the journey to the new me, and I'm doing ok-ish. Finding it hard to keep myself full, finding myself drinking diet fizzy pop when I'm peckish as fills me up for a little while.
Hi OnlyWantsOne I started talking to people in groups on the community. Then you can request them to be your friend, you can also search if you know the name of the person you are looking for.

HeyH0 · 02/06/2011 18:41

OnlyWantsOne - You've got around 40% of your daily allowance left, what do you fancy? :)

OnlyWantsOne · 02/06/2011 19:24

Cream caramel 6pp but now I feel sick :(

IHeartIona · 02/06/2011 20:54

I stayed the same this week, but not too bothered as it is not a gain at least, though I've had a good week so not sure why really... Onwards and upwards! well done to all other losers, sorry not to namecheck, am on phone

Daclaireh · 02/06/2011 21:04

Mmmmmm onlywantsone but is the feeling sick worth it?
IHeart :( at sts, although like you say, at least its not a gain. Next week should be really good for you if it was a good week this week :)

So really struggled today, I've had 54pp today :( all the wrong things too. But still have 15pp left and 5 days until 1st WI.

Hope everyone has had a good day :)

OnlyWantsOne · 02/06/2011 21:31

Daclaireh im on day 2 two! so we are new here together

Daclaireh · 02/06/2011 21:50

:) Onlywantsone Whats your name on Online community? I can add you as a friend :)

OnlyWantsOne · 02/06/2011 22:23

Onebumportwo :)

OnlyWantsOne · 02/06/2011 22:24

I still have 15 of my PP left today and I'm off to bed ... Is that ok?

IHeartIona · 02/06/2011 22:34

Hey OnlyWantsOne, if you are on 29pp, I'd say you haven't had enough. If more, it might not be so bad, but you should try to eat your dailies as they are the minimum intake for healthy weight loss.

IHeartIona · 02/06/2011 22:35

I'm off to bed too now Smile

OnlyWantsOne · 02/06/2011 22:36

I've used 23 and have 15 remaining

NoWayNoHow · 03/06/2011 07:45

Morning

newchoos congrats on your first week's loss, that's a great result!

vnmum congrats on your loss too

Welcome OnlyWantsOne and sorry daclaireh that you had a tough day points wise. Just try to refocus today.

Can I get all your brains working on some guesstimates for me? Got a fish and chip evening tonight, have ordered the smallest portion of cod and chips you can get. Plan is to eat only the fish and not many chips. How many pp do you reckon the cod inside the batter would be? Does it absorb much/any of the frying oil, or does the batter take the big oil hit while the fish just cooks, IYSWIM?

Am taking desperate measures as I had Tesco fishcakes last night - the cod ones used to be 6pp on the old system, so a decent meal when had on a bed of salad. Figured it would probably be +/- 10-12pp on the new system what with it being a high protein food - new pp value = 16pp!!!!! Shock Shock Suffice to say I hadn't budgeted for that, so it ate into a chunk of my weeklies that I wasn't ready to use. Grr...

Anyhoo, any advice on tonight would be appreciated! And good luck for any WIs today!

NoWayNoHow · 03/06/2011 07:47

Sorry, should have clarified that I intend to leave the batter aside and only eat the inside of the fish.

androbbob · 03/06/2011 08:42

Braved the scales and seem to have gained two pounds. all my own doing and i am now 7pounds more then february. back to class on mon for me as i obviously need the wi aspect with a stranger. oh well. got to refocus and track. bought loads of salad and a melon to eat over weekend. school hols are a killer as out if usual routine, so roll on mon! there is a class 2 miles away so i can run there, stay to class and run home so will still get my mon morning exercise. can also cycle there as well.
on phone so name check later and will report on the weekly thread weight loss.

keep your chin up blondes

OnlyWantsOne · 03/06/2011 09:15

dont worry blondes today is a new day :)

what things do you lot eat for breakfast, im abnout to have a large boiled egg and two slices of brown toast with butter, which by my calculations is 9 PP

Daclaireh · 03/06/2011 09:16

Noway I heard that the fish is better cooked in the batter as the batter soaks up all the oil, but obviously don't eat the batter. Well, Birdseye large cod in crispy batter are 14pp for 2 and fried in oil frozen chips are 8pp for 100g. That's the best Guesstimate I can give :)
Onlywantsone I have added you on the community :)
I would say though eat atleast 29 of your pp a day. If needed have higher valued pp things in the house to boost your pp intake as not eating enough will send your body into storing mode.
New day, new PP allowance, and the sun is out :)

HeyH0 · 03/06/2011 09:23

Refers Blondes back to her 7lb poo. :)

You're right, wine is evil, :( but I'm prepared to bet a good chunk of that weight is water, especially if you've been eating salty/processed stuff like crisps etc. Chin up, a week of 'normal' eating will work wonders.

Daclaireh · 03/06/2011 09:23

Blondes Yeh Wine not good :( But New Day, New PP alllowance, We'll get you back to where you were ;)
Onlywantsone I generally have 2 breakfasts as I'm up between 5 and 6 with my DS. So one of cereal maybe ready brek or cornflakes with sweetener and then 2 slices of WW thick slice bread and a cup of tea. Thats 10pp altogether.
Androb :( for gain, at least its not a surprise. hope the WW meeting helps and the exercise on getting there should :)

NoWayNoHow · 03/06/2011 09:59

blondes sorry for gain, but that's the peril of wine and cheese! Get thee a fat old bottle of gin or bacardi and some slimline mixers in the house. And it's a new week, you'll soon lose that - remember that your gain won't be about going over points, it's connected to a completely different way of eating (like I was doing at IL's). As soon as you go back to the WW style of eating (heavy on the veg, protein, etc), that weight will drop of massively quickly.

daclaireh I'm counting 8pp for 160g battered cod (even though I won't be eating the batter) and 8pp for 100g fried chips. If I don't eat all the chips, and don't eat any of the batter, I'm certain that it won't actually end up being 16pp, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. BNS soup for lunch today for me!!

onlywantsone I change my breakfasts around depending on what I'm having for dinner in the evening. My lowest point breakfast I do is 2 weetabix (3pp) with 1/2 pint semi-skimmed milk (2pp) and banana (0pp). I also have boiled egg (2pp) with a thick slice of toast (3pp) and a tsp Flora Light (1pp). On days when evening meal is low, I'll have 2 slices of thick toast (6pp) and 2tsp Flora Light (1pp), with Marmite (0pp) on one and thick cut marmalade (1pp) on the other.
