im dreading tommorrow I feel sick :(

androbbob · 29/05/2011 22:20

Had a fab eating day today - light breakfast, out for coffee with friend and had plain toasted teacake - not massive like some places and no butter on. Big roast beef dinner here and my Mum came to join us as my Dad was away and only had some jersey royals with it and then homemade crumble for afters. All added up to 29 points!

Was planning a quiet few days but following a phone call at teatime we are now crossing the country from West to East to take my Dad his spare car key. He has managed to lose his while out on a 9 mile walk (or may have locked it in the boot!!) and has no way of getting the car home! Parents eh! The RAC wanted over £400 to get the car home - eek, so is cheaper to get us to come over and we are then going to stay in Scarborough for a night and have a mooch around there on Tuesday! Not a top choice of hol visit, but will do!

vnmum · 30/05/2011 15:05

well i have done another run today, even in the rain as i got some new wet kit this morning. I managed 2.4 miles in 26 mins and it earned me an extra activity point compared to my last run Smile

androbbob hope the weather is ok in scarborough and it turns out to be a nice break away

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/05/2011 15:06

wizzler · 30/05/2011 21:03

Haughty.. how did it go today?
Blondes.. enjoy visiting your friends

Is everyone away this week.. only 6 posts in 2 days !!

Littlefish · 30/05/2011 21:32

Greetings from an incredibly hot and sunny Caribbean! I'm having a bloody nightmare with food so will just have to do my best and be ready to repair the damage when I get back.

Pinkglow · 31/05/2011 09:45

Hi everyone, just checking in.

I brought a new set of digital bathroom scales yesterday and its recording me weight a stone under what my old scales show. I'll be going into boots today and double checking (they still have scales dont they?) Looks like new scales might have to go back as there is no way I'm under 10 stone!

howsthatworkingforyou · 31/05/2011 13:02

Hey need to go on wed my place was shut on monday :(

how much would a toasted ham & mozerall panini be?? in PPt??

Im struggling to find it

loubloutwinmum · 31/05/2011 13:06

Hi ladies, thought there would be hundreds of posts to catch up on but it seems we have all been, or are, away!

Just back from long weekend camping - was freezing cold and weather was pretty miserable! Total failure on the food front - was so cold just ate carbs, carbs, protein, protein and Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine plus lots of Biscuit and loads of chocolate. So a total diet fail in every sense of the word! It was honestly so cold and miserable, I couldn't even contemplate healthy choices. So haven't weighed myself and will get back on track this week and then weigh in on Monday!!!

Herding - hope your camping trip is better than mine was and you've shown more (or at least some) restraint ....

Kids had a fabulous time camping though - worth it for them but will not be doing it again unless sunshine is a def! Hope you have all had good bank holiday weekends.

howsthatworkingforyou · 31/05/2011 13:11

loublout glad you had a good time

NoWayNoHow · 31/05/2011 13:38

Hello all, long time no speak!

Obviously I haven't got a snowball in hell's chance of catching up a week's worth of the thread - in fact, I was half expecting this one to be finished and a new thread started!! Wink

So, a massive (if generic) welcome to all newcomers, congratulations for all losers, and commiserations for sts and gains.

I did a WI on Thurs am before going away, had lost 1 lb of the 2.5lbs I put on the week before, so was again only 1.5lbs from goal. After the weekend at the in laws, though, I am expecting that lb (and then some) to have gone straight back on. Am back on the wagon now that we're home again, so hopefully can limit the damage for Thurs, and then work really hard to get back to goal by next Thurs.

Whilst it's been impossible to eat well when others eat so badly, there has been one very interesting mental development re: my eating habits.

I knew I was eating badly. I knew I would put on weight during my time away. However, I didn't panic and didn't care. I know I never again have to live with the fear of my weight spiralling out of control, and I know that no matter how bad a weekend/week/holiday I have, and no matter what the WI consequences, I can claw it back EASILY.

I can't tell you what a massive relief it is to know that I never need go back to that place mentally where I just give up and feel despondent and unable to help myself. It's such a great feeling!

(have I mentioned before how much I LOVE WW?!!)

NoWayNoHow · 31/05/2011 13:59

Ha ha, just gone back and looked at the thread, and actually wasn't all that much to catch up on! Blush

That'll teach me to make assumptions about thread speed again (although to be fair there's precedent for speed of light movement on this!)

benbon · 31/05/2011 14:20

yay... lost 3lbs at weigh in this morning so pleased... only 1 lb till im in the next stone bracket... and only 2.5lbs away from having lost 3 stone!

vnmum · 31/05/2011 14:55

well done benbon
noway just goes to show that WW is a lifetime thing, but in the sense that it educates you and gives you back your control

HeyH0 · 31/05/2011 15:21

Shock I was half expecting the thread to be full!

I'm finding life without access to the online tracker surprisingly liberating. Blush PP (along with calories) are still being totted up, but only at the end of the day after I've eaten my last meal; perversely, this seems to have made me more laid back about eating and has improved my food choices. Go figure... Anyhoo, something's working, 1.5kg off again & I've now passed the 3 stones lost mark. :)

NoWay It sounds like your stay at the in-laws was quite a positive experience in the end.

Benbon Well done!

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/05/2011 17:24

well done benbon

Hi All, Hope you don't mind a newbie?

I joined WW in Feb and lost my way a few weeks ago :( I am starting again tomorrow. I have 4st 6lbs to lose and would like to lose at least 2st 6lbs of that before 7th Oct for my hols, which works out to be about 1.8lbs a week. I think this is an easily achievable target :)

I'm now going to go back through and catch up on every bodies successes so far. Wish me luck x

NoWayNoHow · 31/05/2011 18:01

HeyHo and Benbon well done on your lossed!

vnmum you're so right - my whole attitude towards food changed when I started WW and I think that's something that stays with you whether you're tracking or not.

Welcome Daclaireh - 1.8lbs a week is definitely possible, but always bear in mind that a loss, no matter how small, is still a loss. Even if you get to your hold with an average of 1.5lbs a week, that's still a fair whack more than losing nothing, IYSWIM.

NoWayNoHow · 31/05/2011 18:02

losseS not lossed

holS not hold

at not and

What the hell's the matter with my typing??

tiredemma · 31/05/2011 18:09

Im dreading tonights weigh in.

Went camping at the weekend and drank about 15 pints of Cornish Rattler.

ate shite.

Oh dear......

NoWayNoHow · 31/05/2011 18:12

tiredemma, go to WI, take it on the chin, and start a new week tomorrow! I expect many of us will be doing that after YET ANOTHER Bank Hols weekend!

SpringFollows · 31/05/2011 18:58

Hi all,

I have been awol too. Parents are visiting and we are eating and drinking lots! Not going to WI tonight (WW is top secret for me) so will weigh in next week. Out for dinner now, tomorrow is a shiny brand new WW day. :)

vnmum · 31/05/2011 19:01

well done heyho
welcome daclaireh
tiredemma we all have blowout weekends, the diciding factor though is wether you take it on the chin and get back on track or let it derail you permanently
