Not good to confess so much badness at the start of a new thread so I'll save that for next week Blush

doing ok. scales still not very reliable but the range of weight that they give me is probably 2lb lower (with a 10lb spread, they really aren't very good) overall.

I will count this as a 2lb loss since the start of this (two weeks ago)

Am still doing OK at not eating so much chocolate from kioscos between meals so planning to contniue.

In other news we have converted the credit card points to 1100 of your finest argentine pesos in store credit and are waiting for the vouchers to arrive.

We are still in discussions about whether the new machine goes in the living room in front of the TV (my choice) or in the spare bedroom (DH's choice). He may win if keeping it in the living room would be complex as this is where the kids roam and cause destruction play, but definitely more fun to cycle while I watch TV.

SazZaVoom · 15/10/2011 18:45

Definitely better to have something to watch/read when you exercise.

Well a fab start to the week for me:

Fri: 1hr circuits, 5 mins powerplate, 2.5 mile walk
Sat: 5k run, 6k bike, 5 mins powerplate

Smile
YougreatPumpkinmousse · 16/10/2011 20:44

When am I allowed to stand on the scales again? I have been avoiding them but they are calling me loudly! I don't want to be disappointed.

I stomped the 2 miles into town with both girls in the double this morning and then we went out for a family walk but forgot the backpack so I carried DD2 in a hoimemade sling for 45mins at huge pace to escape the crowds at Westonbirt. Pilates planned for tomorrow but both DDs not well so will have to see.

SazZaVoom · 16/10/2011 21:03

Friday

Although Fjorn sometimes cheats and weighs on a Monday to see just how bad her weekend has been progress Grin

FjorgynAndHotWater · 16/10/2011 21:55

Shock it is not cheating Shock it is being prepared Grin

OP posts:
FjorgynAndHotWater · 17/10/2011 09:35

Wish I hadn't this morning though. Shock and Blush Did so well on Friday and Saturday but yesterday was a disaster food-wise...

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 17/10/2011 12:31

Schoolgirl error to weigh on a Monday Wink

I did some skipping with DD1 yesterday (Hmm to the pelvic floor), running up and down the road and walked round the field horseriding.

Off to the gym now to do a mini triathlon.

luckoftheirish · 17/10/2011 16:57

Back ladies Grin

Shattered beyond belief but had the best time GrinGrinGrin

Managed on 30 mins interval training on fri and lots of walking! Haven't weighted yet as after long flight my ankles are cankles and have that massive post flight swollen feeling Hmm.. Obv will be up but fingers crossed not horrific Hmm

Well done sazz on all your exercise so far Smile

Woo hoo fjorny, pan, dr g on losses Smile

SazZaVoom · 17/10/2011 18:03

Welcome home LOTI. Well done on fitting in some exercise.

Ran 3k, bike 11k, 400m swim, 5 mins powerplate.

YougreatPumpkinmousse · 17/10/2011 18:49

Welcome back LOTI - I wouldn't weigh for a few days yet, let all the flight water retention go first.

Pilates tonight with friend.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 17/10/2011 19:48

Welcome back loti Grin can't wait to hear all about your holiday!

sazz did you manage to improve your time on last time, or was it just a home-made triathlon iyswim?

It's blowing a gale and on/off pissing down here and as I am such a fairweather runner I am not going out tonight. My 10 mins on the trampoline earlier does not count so am going to dust off my Shred dvd Shock Be gentle with me Jillian...

OP posts:
FjorgynAndHotWater · 17/10/2011 21:24

Yowser Shock despite all the running that bloody killed me Blush but yay I did it. Need some proper handweights though, tried with 2l bottles of water but they were too big/heavy. Sazz/loti, what weight do you use?

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 17/10/2011 23:56

These. Sports direct have some decent cheap ones too. I like having a variety and use different ones for strength/cardio exercises.

Well done on actually shredding - i had forgotten how good it actually was

luckoftheirish · 18/10/2011 11:19

I use them too courtesy of sazz's advice Smile

Just done 30 mins on bike may follow it up with some more biking or maybe a shred later if I can arsed BlushGrin

FjorgynAndHotWater · 18/10/2011 11:51

You are going to have to get some serious exercise in if you are off to disneyworld at the weekend you gadabout Grin

Legs and arms really aching today! Thanks for the weight tips, I saw these ones but they might be a bit heavy. Not as pretty as the Davina ones though!!

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 18/10/2011 13:53

They look ok Fjorn - the only thing is the lightest ones are the same as the middle Davina weights. I use the lightest ones for the cardio sections. I am slightly concerned about using v heavy weights as i just want toning, not visible muscle bulk.

I use the blue ones (2.3kg) for most of the strength moves, the pink (1.13kg) if i am being wimpy and the green (0.68) for cardio

My friend uses 1.5kg weights through the whole thing (but not sure if she does cardio weights)

YougreatPumpkinmousse · 18/10/2011 14:02

Slap me someone, please!!!! I have been so good and spoilt it all by giving in to my carb craving and eating a onion bagel :( an heading for another - I think I might need to feed them to the birds or bun them as they are calling me!

luckoftheirish · 18/10/2011 14:24

Oh pample!! Feed the rest to the birdies Smile and surely one won't harm you too much Smile

Another 25 mins cycling Smile wanted to shred but DVD has disappeared Hmm

SazZaVoom · 18/10/2011 14:38

Pample - stick it in the freezer. NOW!!!!

One is fine, but you have had your little taste and enjoyed it. If you eat any more the pleasure per mouthful quotient will plummet. Trust me.

SazZaVoom · 18/10/2011 20:15

No exercise today other than chasing my tail Hmm

London tomorrow so unlikely then, so will have to gym/shred on Thurs.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 19/10/2011 08:53

No exercise for me either, am still aching from my shred Blush but hoping to go out for a run tonight instead.

Yesterday was a big fail all round, made some flapjack for DD's school lunches on Monday night and it is sooo delicious that I ate quite a lot of it myself Blush at least the fact it was oats and raisins and chocolate chips and condensed milk mean it was a bit healthy as well as hideously calorific. Back on the wagon today though

Have you stopped striking now then sazz?

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 19/10/2011 09:40

They paid me a bit on Friday, so agreed to come in again today. No more after today until they pay me again.

Boo hoo to the flapjack - i had a glass of wine and some wasabi nuts at the pub last night. I am calling them dessert Grin

YougreatPumpkinmousse · 19/10/2011 09:43

I am back on the wagon today too.

Fjorgyn - I have to make brownies for the teachers at school today - I am trying hard not to lick bowls or just taste test them!

Yay for work paying Sazz, hope they keep paying more regularly.

luckoftheirish · 19/10/2011 12:02

40 mins non stop on bike... Completely shattered!!!

FjorgynAndHotWater · 19/10/2011 21:36

Just back from a MASSIVE run Shock well it was massive to me! Nearly 3 miles with just a little walk in the middle. Even ran up some steep bits! Been good with food too if you ignore the piece of chocolate brownie I ate at work Good job I had no money on me tonight though as had to run past two lovely pubs and was sorely tempted to stop off for a pint...

loti yay for biking, bet your legs were wobbly after that though!

pample did you manage to swerve the brownies?
