Not good to confess so much badness at the start of a new thread so I'll save that for next week Blush

SazZaVoom · 03/10/2011 22:24

Quick LOTI, get the chairs, party poppers and people nets to trap them when they all come flooding in crudites out. I have sent invites, and they WILL come.

Maybe.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 03/10/2011 23:36

Have done LOADS of swimming in the last week, also lots of bread/cheese/butter/crisps/booze scoffing, belly looking 4+ months pregnant but not too bad apart from that... Will be back to check in properly tomorrow xxx

i am still waiting to join in...have ordered three new dvds to do at home - pilates, yoga, yogalates Hmm - nice stretchy low impact stuff as my back is STILL playing up and the rest of me is creaking as well. thoroughly fed upof having back pain, hoping the dvds will help strengthen those muscles and straighten me out.

still got the ravenous bf hunger but trying not to eat too stupidly while allowing myself something nice from time to time. i have had to add malt loaf to the list of 'things i can't have in the house when trying to be good' Blush

HamishMacbeth · 04/10/2011 11:25

Yes, hello.

Doing OK on the not eating chocolate and cake thing. Much better than a week ago. Feeling better about it too.

Still eating quite a lot of snacks, but at the moment crackers and fruit, so better but not ideal. Also ate two random ham sandwiches with my supper last night.

Re: exercise bike. Budget is a bit low. We have some options

my mother in law suggested getting a bike with a back

I would probably have gone for something simpler

is this what you meant by a cross trainer? how does it work with the bike bit

We have 900 pesos voucher with this shop, but can go a bit over.

Also, do you know anything about the pros and cons of exercise bikes with backs? I come from a road bike background (of course you don't have a back) rather than a recumbent (very cool but a bit low to the ground) so don't think a back is needed, but if it is better for exercise then let me know.

HamishMacbeth · 04/10/2011 11:28

PS do you like my new name!

SazZaVoom · 04/10/2011 18:12

Hamish - This is the one i had which converts. I could not see on your link whether it did as my Spanish is rather non existant poor Blush. Your link is a cross trainer though Smile

The bike looks ok, but maybe a bot flimsy? It says it can take weight up to 16.5 stone but it doesn't look too stable to me. It doesn't give the weight of the equipment which would also be a guide as to how stable it is.

Personally i don't like the low back ones, but all personal choice i guess. It does however look like a sturdier piece of equipment

5 mile walk with buggy today Smile. London tomorrow and hopefully will have some free time Thurs to complete my 4 exersazz.

luckoftheirish · 04/10/2011 19:54

Hamish love the name and well done on the no cake/chocolate Smile

Well done on the 5 mile buggy walk sazz Smile

After a completely buggered up day have managed to cycle for 35 mins on rubbish exercise bike! No idea how long I cycled but legs aching so it must have been quite far Grin

CaptainCaveman · 04/10/2011 20:56

Thanks for the linkage sazz, I've been wayward on mn since going back full time.

Pleased to report I forced myself out for a 5 mile run last night and after the first 5 mins I enjoyed it. Night off tonight then hockey training tomorrow. Need to stop eating so many chocolates and peanuts Blush

Hello everyone!

luckoftheirish · 05/10/2011 14:09

Another 35 mins on the bike, crazy busy so no chance of going to the gym! Better than nothing I supposeHmmGrin

SazZaVoom · 05/10/2011 19:32

No proper exercise today, but have walked to and from car parks, down Oxford street and up and down escalators. Will gym it tomorrow Smile

Well done pm your 4 exersazz's this week loti. Top of the class for you!

Star - any sign of dvd's? I find pilates brilliant fir my back/core and am really missing it Sad. I suppose I could dig out one of my dvd's Hmm

SazZaVoom · 05/10/2011 19:35

Do you have the Shred DVD star, just that my 2 love joining in, especially level one with jumping jacks and butt kicks and punches. They sometimes ask fir it as a DVD of choice to watch ConfusedGrin I am sure dd would view it as a soectator sport from the floor.

aStarInStrangeways · 06/10/2011 07:33

I do have the Shred but don't feel fit enough to attempt it atm Grin I want to strengthen my back and get flexible first in the hope of avoiding injury/aggravation to existing injuries.

DVDs turned up yesterday - it seems I actually ordered four Blush Will get cracking on them once I'm back at home (MIL's DVD player doesn't work).

luckoftheirish · 06/10/2011 08:36

Good luck with the DVDs star Smile

Things not looking too hopeful on the old scales Hmm combination of not enough good exercise and cold/cough which has made me dig out the anti biotics Hmm

Hoping to boxercise later if the old body allows and will try and bike for a bit too... Every the optimist Grin

FjorgynAndHotWater · 06/10/2011 09:07

Hello, finally I am back properly Blush yesterday was supposed to be my first proper healthy day as back at work but scuppered by my inability to walk past the biscuit tin without lifting one, then couldn't be arsed to go running due to big headache

Anyway, it's fruit and health all the way from now. Just over 11 weeks to Christmas oh fuck so really need to actually lose weight for once to build up some slack for then Grin

Yay for all the exercise going on. star can you play more than one dvd at once and get super-fit extra quick??? Wink
