Welcome one and all to our 6th thread

If you're just starting out or you've been following WW for a while and you're looking for support you've come to the right place!

There are lots of regulars who are well on their weigh (get it! ) Grin and others who have just joined us - we're a mixed bag, all shapes and sizes and all with different goals to achieve but we're all striving for the same thing. We're all here to will one another on with advice, support and lots of cheering! :)

Androbbob is our resident stat checker and keeps us motivated by totting up the total weight loss each week.

So far we have lost an amazing 147 lbs since jan 2011 Shock

We're quite fast moving at times so just dive in - pour yourself a Wine or Brew and make yourself at home :)

Good luck, Sue. Much better to face the music and start afresh on a new week. I will be feeling equally apprehensive tomorrow morning. I'm with Wizzler - I need a 'normal' week to make things a little easier again!

bigTillyMint · 02/05/2011 19:27

Sue, was your meeting on today? Well done!

Now feeling guilty that mine might have been on ......

LolaLadybird · 02/05/2011 19:28

Cross post - well done Sue! Smile

TaudrieTattoo · 02/05/2011 19:31

Well, I lost a pound!

Bearing in mind I spent from Friday to Sunday in London, scoffing fish and chips, a three course dinner at Roast and a maccy d's in bed Blush plus copious alcohol, I'm chuffed with that!

iphone app said "keep doing what you're doing" lol Grin

Well done to all losers!
Commiserations to all those who didn't get what they wanted this week.

(Oh, and a note to Blondes - we've never spoken as I joined the thread while you were away, but my heartfelt sympathies.)

herdingcats · 02/05/2011 19:32

Well done Sue. Smile
My WI is Wednesday as usual my dread is staring to build already.
God only knows how I will stay on track,as I have to go into hospital for an op soon. There is no way I will be able to track the crap food in there.

working9while5 · 02/05/2011 19:34

Hello all, checking in but hope not to be here for long.

Lost 2st 3 on WW but lost momentum when PP came in as I was so used to the old system. Haven't been following it since but - amazingly! - have only put back on about 4lbs. Want to lose weight before my sister's wedding at the start of June (just under 5 weeks away). Would be happy with 10lbs but hoping to get an extra 2-3 out of starting afresh!

Current 12st 2
Goal for wedding 11 st 6

Starting to try to conceive after the wedding so may not be around much longer than that, goal or no goal! Fingers crossed!

Day 1 today!!

wizzler · 02/05/2011 20:44

Well done Sue and Tawdry.
Welcome Working.. best of luck with WW and TTC!

iamamug · 02/05/2011 20:44

Decided to join you lot in trying to get motivated. Have all the info but not going to meetings - will use you guys for inspiration. I am 11 st 8 and target is 10st (9st 7 would be better but need to be realistic) Would like to try and get down to 11 st by June 7th as off on holiday with a friend. After that don't care how long it takes. I just need some encouragement.Feels the right time to start again after the excesses of the last couple of weeks.

SueSylvesterforPM · 02/05/2011 20:50

HeyH0 · 02/05/2011 23:37

Benbon, I can sympathise... No more Shredding for me until I get a better sports bra. Grin Jumping jacks almost knocked me out this morning, not pretty.

SomethingSuper · 03/05/2011 07:19

I was thinking of giving the Shred a go but dont think my kness will take it until I've dropped at least a stone, probably more Grin

I saw a photo of myself from last time I lost weight (about 3 years ago) and at the time I had no idea how good I looked (preens). It's given me a good boost to my motivation.

Must admit I'm pretty hungry the last few days. DD waking up at 4am and I try to eat fruit and drink coffee until 8am so I can spread my points out over the day but it's hard going sometimes.

Went to visit family yesterday and they had very kindly laid on a lovely lunch of ham, crusty bread, salad, belgian waffles, fruit, syrup and cream. Aaaahh! I couldnt be rude and not eat it so I had 1 slice of bread, 2x ham and 2 waffles with fruit and the teeniest, weeniest drizzle of syrup. I pointed it at 14 points which is a massive amount for a lunch that didnt fill me (ungrateful emoticon)

Carey, a 10 mile walk is brilliant, you've inspired me to go for a big walk with pram later. I love that feeling of going into the next stone bracket.

Onwards and upwards (or downwards I suppose!).

CareyFakes · 03/05/2011 07:45

Great to hear of losses! Wish I was 11st 8 ha, that's where I'm heading!

I had a wonderful day yesterday, went to Ashridge Forrest for a looooong walk, my whole family is on WW so my sister made us a picnic, all pointed. We walked for about 2 hours solid, then hiked up a HUGE hill which nearly pushed me over my limit, and I was pushing DD in a shitty buggy, I could've cried, but I did far better than my sister and poor old mum, thank the Lord I'd been doing huge walks for many months.

WI tomorrow, due on day Sad Hope to have lost 1.5lbs, I'd be very happy with that.

Need breakfast, starving

hmc · 03/05/2011 11:16

Glad the concert was a triumph Littlefish, would love to see the video!

Well done on losses SueSylvester and Tawdry

HeyH0 if only my boobs were still big enough to knock me out during star jumps. I swear that most of my 3.5 stone weight loss has been from my previously heaving bosom!

Oh dear, oh dear - my footie team got promoted yesterday so I celebrated with an entire bottle of wine (20pp) - have already used my weeklies. Weigh day tomorrow evening so strategy is to eat only 24pp today and tomorrow, and to recoup the balance in the gym. Whilst drunk and in my cups I did some online shopping and ordered this - think I am having mid life crisis

LolaLadybird · 03/05/2011 12:51

WI this morning and lost 3.5 lbs - granted it's what I put on during my renegade couple of weeks but I'm pleased to lose it all in one week. Am going to celebrate with a danish pastry this afternoon (when hopefully DS may have fallen asleep in front of a DVD .... hopeful emoticon!!).

Now need to keep the focus. At least we have a couple of normal weeks before another bank holiday!

LoopyLa · 03/05/2011 13:40

LOL HeyHO Grin !!! I can definitely sympathise with that!!!

Welcome newbies Smile

Wizzler I feel the same - loved the extra days off but "routine" definitely makes it easier to track...

LoopyLa · 03/05/2011 13:41

And forgot to mention - for those who take lunches into work, I have had the WW wild rice & mushroom stroganoff (disliked) but WW chicken casserole & dumplings was delicious Smile

NoWayNoHow · 03/05/2011 14:41

Hey all

Sorry, I've not read the thread, know I've been rubbish about posting recently, but there's LOADS going on in the NoWay household at the moment, and hopefully I'll be back soon with an update on everything. Trying to stick to PP, not tracking, but mentally totting up not too somewhat accurately. Hoping that I can just stick at the same weight I'm on now for a while whilst we get through this manic period. Will be happy with a sts for the next couple of weeks, if I'm honest.

Anyways, hoping you're all doing well, and that there's lots of awesome losses going on! Good luck for all WI, will try to drop back in on the thread after Friday with the news, be it good or bad!

NoWayNoHow · 03/05/2011 14:48

WI news, that is, not any other news. Although I might have other news. But might not. Not baby news in case that's what it sounds like.

It's a mystery. Grin

NoWayNoHow · 03/05/2011 14:48

Now I've built it up too much, and it's not really that big a deal. You're all going to be disappointed.

I'll get me coat.

CareyFakes · 03/05/2011 15:17

I'm on the edge of my seat now NoWayNoHow!! Hope it's good news

hmc · 03/05/2011 16:01

Blimey - mind boggling NoWay!

Well done Lola on losing 3.5lbs

Just had my first "You're looking too skinny, don't lose any more weight, you'll look gaunt" comment at school - which I find quite irritating since my BMI is 26 and thus I am still a few pounds overweight, and I am wearing size 14 jeans (although nearly comfortably in a 12) Angry. Don't see why I should have to justify continuing with the diet when I am clearly not going too far!

Yeah, sorry school mum chums if I am no longer fulfilling the fall guy role of podgy mum (grrrr!)

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/05/2011 16:47

lola well done on loss

noway hope news is ok, wondering if it what you mentioned when we met up?

well today is the first day i have worn skinny jeans -i brought them when a tad too tight and couldnt do zip up

now zip does up and i need a belt as fall down my waits!!
