According to my shiny new heart rate monitor my fitness assessment burned over 2000 calories Shock . I'm definitely spending some of those AP's on a take-away tonight; it's forward planning really, I doubt I'll be able to make it to the fridge, or move, tomorrow!

hmc If, when you clench your stomach muscles, there's an improvement in the appearance of your midriff then Shredding should help. (I'm starting on May 1st & have also acquired "Shred-it with weights", both look pretty straight forward, but I suspect I may be of a different opinion by Sunday afternoon. Grin ) Do you have a Pilates studio nearby that offers sessions on a reformer? If so, it might be worth investigating, working on the machines can produce phenomenal results.

IHeartIona · 28/04/2011 15:55

thanks hmc - I won't back out, it is one of my few child-free times I get, my hour on a Thurs night!!

SueSylvesterforPM · 28/04/2011 19:11

Hey all how was easter?

I've had a bit of a chomp on treatsize, stuff being 2 pts each I've abused a bit [bublush] err but after my brekkie 6pts I have 42 points and my luch was 9pts and dinner 9pts + 3pts hopefullly not too bad my sons munching weakened mr

and it gets worse....I'm off out tonight I read some bacardi's 3 pts each and rum is 2pts if I ask for diet coke.

I wonder if shots are low,??

Willabywallaby · 28/04/2011 20:27

2lb on at WI last night Blush. Hoping to stay on trackish while at the ILs this weekend Hmm

androbbob · 28/04/2011 22:09

Evening all - been busy around here and off the WW wagon - feeling rather blobby now, so back with avengance tomorrow - off to the zoo with the kids - no chance of me watching the wedding - not interested, each to their own and all that!

Managed to get two lovely tops today in the local charity shop - cost me a tenner though, but I had trawled the main high street shops for a couple of tops - I am inbetween wardrobes - some tops need another 7 to 10lbs off and others are too big and baggy! So will be in the other ones by July is the plan. Unlike last year when I had to go to the shops the day before going on hols (UK) and get three new tops as the ones I was 'slimming' into were still tight! I am wearing those tight ones now with ease!

Got notification this week that DS got into our first choice primary school (we have DD there so not a great surprise!)

Not been tracking the weight losses properly this week - but seen some good figures floating around!

Anyway time for bed for me!

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 29/04/2011 06:30

Well done on the losses, I think that is brilliant over Easter.

0.5lb on for me but am pleased with that. Finally joined a WW class and it was lovely to listen to points rather than syns. Back on track for a loss this week to get my 4 stone hopefully, which has been tantalising close but elusive during the holidays.

debs39 · 29/04/2011 07:40

Been off a while so have loads of catching up to do....just how many posts do you lot make in 3 weeks???!!!

Was away from home and totally unable to propoint ...honest...never eaten as little nice fruit and veg and yoghurts...first stop was tesco for fromage frais, apples, carrots and frozen cauliflower!!!!

Mad thing is though that I lost 3lb...so after 6weeks in UK on propoints where I stayed the same constantly...going away led to me going off course on propoints and losing weight...

Butttttt...when I was away I didn't do the night time...' sit down and wander backwards and forwards to the kitchen...' so must've been my low point snacking that was sabotaging the weight loss......

Need to install a timed lock on the kitchen door, methinks!!!! :)

NoWayNoHow · 29/04/2011 08:14

Hey guys

Not caught up on the thread yet, will come back later to it.

Just wanted to report a 0.5lbs gain this week at WI - not surprised, and actually rather pleased considering how much chocolate and wine I've had over the last week. Will try limit damage for this weekend too, and hopefully won't have put on too much for next week's WI.

Good luck to everyone else WI, and on the off chance that yo'ure reading this, blondes, thinking about you and missing you on here. xx

NoWayNoHow · 29/04/2011 08:25

And I'm back in the room - so many posts since my last one, but well done to CareyFakes, MrsKwazii, shoulders, herding, hmc, malteser and CDL on your losses, and commiserations to willaby and wynken.

Phew!

Wishing you all a lovely wedding day!

SueSylvesterforPM · 29/04/2011 20:10

curse you easter, I dread monday :(

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 29/04/2011 21:41

Hi all, apparently it was the royal wedding today, who knew! [cwink]

I was at a birthday afternoon tea today, so had 2 sandwiches (6 for petit pain, 4 for fillings) marshmallow cupcake, have counted 7, a meringue 2 and a scone 4 does that sound reasonable? I made the cupcakes, they were amazing. Was pretty pleased that they made it to the party in tact! Have dragged the day back on track by having a 1 point ham salad for tea so pretty ok I think.

Hope you all enjoyed the bonus day off!

hmc · 29/04/2011 21:58

Sorry to hear about the little gains guys - but well done debs on your loss...

Was there a wedding Shoulders? Grin - I managed to avoid it entirely ....at the cinema with the dc.

LolaLadybird · 30/04/2011 08:21

Had a bad, bad day yesterday - too much socialising and therefore lots of nice food (and an indecent amount of Pimms Smile). Went to a friend's to watch the wedding yesterday morning to watch the wedding (DH off cycling), then a BBQ at some other friends and then a street party in our village in the evening.

I ate a lot but have tracked everything and am minus 7 points for the week - reckon I can get that back with some discipline and plenty of exercise over the next 3 days. Won't be easy given those 3 days are at home over the weekend tho' (deep breaths) ....

CareyFakes · 30/04/2011 08:44

I had an equally bad day LolaLadybird. I didn't even go to a party. I had a good morning, and lunch, then opened a bottle of bubbly (bear in mind it is just DD and I, no-one else lol) and drank the whole bottle, then had a few Rums, and a few Amarettos Blush.

We had bangers and mash for dinner, pointed it, but then had a few extra sausages that were cold later, then a few chicken dippers...I'm minus 11 PP, and I've never USED my pp's before lol

I'm off for a long walk Monday and Tuesday so will easily make up the difference but that is my first fall since I started in Jan, and to top it all off, its TOTM the day before WI Shock Blush Angry Sad

bamboobutton · 30/04/2011 08:52

wizzler · 30/04/2011 11:50

Keep going Bamboo. Have you thought about changing the way you use your points...? Do you eat all your weeklies ?

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/04/2011 13:38

CareyFakes · 30/04/2011 14:00

Hello Blondes, so sorry to hear of your DH's passing, what a terrible time, hope you find strength and comfort in those around you.

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 30/04/2011 14:11

Hi blondes welcome back. Wobble away, that's what we're here for. Well done on getting into those trousers and reaching goal. I've been thinking of you over the last fortnight. X

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/04/2011 15:06

thanks shoulders i feel weird coming back and posting, but also life goes on and i have to get back to normal iyswim

OP posts:
HeyH0 · 30/04/2011 15:19

Lovely to 'see' you, Blondes.

Wobbles are perfectly understandable, I imagine life seems pretty surreal at the moment. You've done well reaching goal at such a traumatic time too, even if it wasn't a concious effort on your part; a lot of people would have gone to the other extreme and inhaled every piece of food and Wine within reach.

hmc · 30/04/2011 15:26

Blondes really pleased to see you here. Awed at your ability and strength of character in being able to pick yourself up and try to carry on (although I am sure it will continue to be a huge challenge with lots of wobbles along the way).

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/04/2011 15:29

i was only 3 lbs off goal, and tbh i barely eat at the moment

OP posts:
bamboobutton · 30/04/2011 15:31

wizzler- no, i only use some of my weekly points if we are eating out or if i fancy a little treat in the evening and i have used all my daily points.

i'm going to start cutting back on carbs too see if that works, and doing the workout dvd.

tbh i think i have a mild thyroid problem. my weight shot up after i gave birth to ds and strict dieting only stopped the weight gain.
had tests at the GP but they say they come back normal but never give me the exact result, i'm convinced im right on the border of having underactive thyroid due to my symptoms but i have also heard it can be a real battle to get treatment from GPs.
