hmc · 26/04/2011 10:28

Thanks malteser for phone app suggestion, I shall look into that
What a lovely thoughtful mum you have SueSylvester - getting you jewelry for your birthday, and by contrast - what a rotten present for your birthday froot! from your SIL
Happy birthday for yesterday Wizzler - I hope it was a good one (but not too good in the indulgence food department)
Well done on loss HeyHO and good move booking in with personal trainer.

Have had a lovely easter break with the children and enjoyed their company but it did sort of knock me off routine a bit and I haven't tracked for several days. WI tomorrow - oops! Feeling motivated to knuckle down and sort it out now they are back at school and life has returned to normal. Had banana and strawberry smoothie for breakfast this morning, dropped dc off at school and then did a 40 minute strength session with dumbbells, squats etc, so am feeling set up for the day ahead

Piffle · 26/04/2011 11:50

I'm ashamedly sneaking in after a shocking weekend involving loads of BBQ, booze and nibbles.
Back on track I think though this weeks points are trashed :(
But onwards
Congrats to all losers, well done esp those on hols!

SueSylvesterforPM · 26/04/2011 12:37

androbbob · 26/04/2011 15:24

Quick check in - just polished off a pack of WW coconut cakes Blush

No defence really!

Will be back on plan tomorrow.

On the plus side - did a 26 min run today as part of the C25K traning - was hard ish but passable. Now ready to get onto week 7 of the plan. Must look that up now!

Need to do some tummy exercises as it is spilling over the top of my jeans! Where has the sun gone - wore a lose vest top twice this weekend and now its gone in!

Bonus - DS got is primary school allocation today - same school as DD - not a great surpise but good to know. There are 50 places and there are 6 of them in morning nursery that have siblings, so knew it should have been ok!

Back later!

NoWayNoHow · 26/04/2011 15:41

Hey all

I see Easter weekend has been hard on us all! I think I'm going to struggle with what's left over - need it out the house as soon as possible, but would feel like a bad mummy if I force-fed all remaining chocolate to DS. I guess DH is going to have to take one for the family and polish it off himself! Wink

The more I look at it, the more certain I am that I went over my 49 on the weekend, so am going to try to be extra good until Friday's WI. Just realised that I fly out the wedding I'm going to 2 weeks on Fri! Really need to get some sit-ups and squats in before then so that the dress I bought looks okay. Also need to be uber good with food - I take back what I said about winging it! Track, track, track, track all the way now!

Anybody WI this week? Or are we all going to pretend it never happened Grin

Littlefish · 26/04/2011 16:49

Hi all. Really sorry I haven't been around this week, but I've been up to my eyeballs in preparation for my concert on Saturday. I have now bought excellent control tights which certainly help to smooth out some of the lumps and bumps. I may not be able to breathe in them though.....

No-Way - I'm off to weigh in tonight, and hoping to lose the half pound that I put on last week. I've only had 2 mini eggs and 2 celebrations chocolates, so not too bad on the Easter front. However, the delicious Sunday roast was somewhat tricky.

I'll be back later....

malteserbunny · 26/04/2011 16:57

hi all, I too had a bit of a chocolate munch but hey it was easter, i enjoyed myself. Had a lovely picnic yesterday and took my sushi and veg with houmus and it was lovely.

androbbob i am jealous of your run, my chest isn't getting better so looks like i'm back to docs tomorrow and yet more time off the plan. My feet are itching, lol

welcome tawdry

suesylvestor I buy philly light as it is on offer more than the extra light and to be honest i have found that the points aren't that much different so don't worry too much

benbon · 26/04/2011 17:12

weigh in was this morning just lost 1/2 lb but i suppose its still a loss... will be glad when skids are back at school (tomorrow yay) so i can knuckle down again!

Piffle · 26/04/2011 18:17

Well did 6 pp of walking today
Shredded wheat and semi skim
Lunch out ( prawns and bread v healthy) and a pint Blush

Maybe another walk...
DH is off this week and wants to drink and relax Shock

Reallyusefulengine · 26/04/2011 19:12

Hello ladies, I hope you don't mind me joining you? I joined WW today and have the new folder etc. I would be happy to lost 5% - 8lbs or so would be enough, I gained it recently during a pregnancy and subsequent miscarriage, so I really don't need the physical reminder Sad

I have done WW before but am totally lost with the pro points plan. May I ask you, do you use the cardboard Pro-points finder wheel? It is taking me ages to find the points value for anything - did you find you got faster? At this rate I won't be eating until Midnight! Smile

Also, may I ask how you use your extra points allowance? All in one go or during the week. Am drowning my sorrows with a few glasses of wine at the moment so am trying to figure out if it'll be enough to cover it!

Thank you so much. I had a look through the thread and you are such a friendly supportive thread xxxx

TaudrieTattoo · 26/04/2011 19:38

Could anyone give some ideas for recipes? I've joined online, but don't find the website particularly easy to negotiate, and I'm stumped for ideas for easy meals.

Help!

CareyFakes · 26/04/2011 19:43

Hey Reallyusefulengine, I never use the cardboard wheel thing, too confusing, I use the Blackberry App or the Esource, find that super easy!

I don't use my extra points allowance, I stack up Activity points (39 week due to Easter), but my sister uses 7 daily, whatever works for the individual.

I've been good over Easter, had half an egg on Sunday, and half and egg on Monday. I also had BBQ lamb, all weighted out by meeeeee. Thankfully, my mum and sister are on WW so we all stick together and help out.

I went to a party on Saturday night, drank a whole bottle of Rose, and half a litre of Vodka Shock but thankfully the extra walking has balanced that out.

I have WI tomorrow, I'd be glad to just lose a 1lb tbh.

CareyFakes · 26/04/2011 19:45

tawdryhepburn, I spent a few hours looking through my existing cookbooks and translated the recipes into Propoints. I make the usual stuff by substitue the fats for the spray or just a leaner cut of meat, or even quorn (I love quorn).

I just change things about, instead of using full fat stuff, I cook with lower fat products.

wizzler · 26/04/2011 19:53

Half a pound on .[SAD]. Serves me right. I have indiscriminately stuffed choc in my face. Will be a better person this week.

Hi *Reallyuseful".. don't use the wheel.. buy a calculator or use the iinternet. I use my extra points sparingly.

Reallyusefulengine · 26/04/2011 19:56

Thank you so much Carey and Wizzler they're great tips. Thank you so much. Carey That sounds like one fun party!

Littlefish · 26/04/2011 20:14

Welcome tawdry and reallyusefulengine.

I've just got back from weighing in, and have lost 2lbs Grin Grin. That's 46.5lbs in total since October (3 stone 4 and a half pounds).

I'm really, really happy!

wizzler · 26/04/2011 20:33

Littlefish.. welll done.. and if I dont catch up with you before next weekend, have a fab concert, and tell us all how it went. I will be thinking about you next saturday night. Make sure you get a photo.

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 26/04/2011 20:58

Littlefish well done! So great to hear you are still on track since October, very inspiring!

reallyusefulengine (love your name) I agree, wheel is a waste of time. I use the app on Android phone, or my calculator. Prefer the app though.

On phone, will hopefully post later from computer!

LolaLadybird · 26/04/2011 21:39

Hi All. Back in circulation after week away. Got back on Thurs last week just in time for mucho BBQ's and chocolate over the weekend - aagh. Didn't WI last week as we were away but went this morning and have gained 3.5 lbs over the last 2 weeks Blush Blush. I am completely fine with it though as I've really not stuck to PP at all, it's also almost TOTM which may have contributed. I figure at least I went - could have just gone into denial! Grin

Now feeling v motivated again after my recent transgressions and have had no problem getting back to it today - guess another long weekend will be the tricky bit.

Welcome ReallyUseful - wheel thing is v faffy, another vote for e-source, much quicker and way more accurate. Re weeklies, I tend to save mine up for the weekends which I know is my trouble-spot, although I do much better if I limit myself to about half of them.

loubloutwinmum · 26/04/2011 23:45

Just a quick check in - first week of maintenance & have done exactly that - STS! Pretty pleased like everyone else, Easter & the lovely weather has been very tough! Going on holiday Fri so very manic here, trying to get us all organised! Come Friday, I will be off plan for exactly 7 days & then will assess the damage on my return! Sorry, on phone so name checking hard. Welcome to all the newbies, PP does work so stick with it!

Reallyusefulengine · 26/04/2011 23:51

Thank you for the warm welcome little fish, shouldersback, lolaladybird. Thanks for all the info and I will check it out tomorrow and download the app and check out e-source. I think I managed to go through most of my bonus points tonight on the wine Blush! And it's only day one!

CareyFakes · 27/04/2011 07:57

A bottle of wine is like 19 points, it's fine. It's what I eat AFTER said bottle of wine that would destroy my chances lol I rarely drink nowadays, only on occasions like parties but May is quite a social month for me so will slow down weight loss no doubt!

I'm off for my WI today at 10am, I've stuck to the plan this week so no reason to why I shouldn't have lost. I only had 1 Easter egg and had a lovely sensible meal on the Sunday. Hope to have lost at least a lb.

Noticed today that (I know I shouldn't but I like to be prepared) when weighing myself nekkid, I'm 3 and half stone lighter than I was last year! Stoked. Just need to lose 5lbs to be 3 stone lighter than Jan lol

LoopyLa · 27/04/2011 08:03

NWNH pretending it never happened works for me!!!

Grin Blush Grin

So the renegade has returned! I didn't even both to pretend to be good last week as was on hols/visiting relatives/out for dinner numerous times/birthday AND Easter - phew! Just now going to be good for 4 days, track food & take it on the chin when I weigh in on Saturday (why isn't there a scared emoticon??!)

Welcome to all the newbies, you'll love it here!!! And special shout to Little Fish that's fantastic, I bet you look amazing!

And Froot how annoying!!! What a cruddy gift to give to someone whose clearly trying to be healthier - can I suggest you keep the gift & return it when it's her birthday or Xmas?!! Wink
