Good to hear that you are at last feeling better Noway!

The veggie fry up sounds lush with only the hash browns and beans raising a red flag, so reckon you will have got away with that one

Know what you mean about feeling good being back in control - I didn't feel fab over the weekend as i was helping myself to bottles of lager from the minibar, and perhaps I am a little obsessed but I could almost feel fat cells laying themselves down around my midriff with every bad choice I made

loubloutwinmum · 19/04/2011 11:48

Thanks for the congrats ladies - had a lovely weekend & did celebrate getting to goal last night with a bowl of ice cream!!!! Can't remember who asked, but am going to try and lose just a little more! Another 1/2 stone would be perfect but not too stressed about it!

Well done Sue - great start!

Noway really glad you are back on the wagon - your brunch sounds lovely and I take my hat off to you for doing 2 hours of cycling, I wouldn't last 20 mins.

I now have 35 points for maintenance but yesterday I was almost more nervous about eating than I have been on the PP plan before. I have worked so hard to get here, I really don't want to get back into bad habits. So I ended up only using 25 points yesterday! But am going to try and stick to 29 points a day (at least). However, when we go away on holiday, I will eat whatever I want (within reason) and worry about it when we get home.

Hope everyone else has good WI's this week too. Am sitting here in a pair of size 12 jeans!!!! Can't quite believe it.

LittleFriendSusan · 19/04/2011 12:56

Ok... resuming normality... 'fraid I can't remember anything of what I read on here last night, but well done to all losers :)

NWNH - glad to hear you're feeling better at last and back on the wagon.

Loublou - well done you for getting to goal!

Disappointed to report that I put on 1lb at WI yesterday. According to my tracker I used all weeklies and 13 of 22 activity points. Saying that, I was a bit slack with the tracking, and had to guess at quite a few things so quite possibly went over. First time I've gained since starting though so I am gutted... Could also be the previous week catching up with me as I was surprised to have lost 3lb then.

Anyway, onwards and upwards. No WI next week as Easter Monday, but think I might try to make the Tuesday evening one - need to know that I'm back on track again IYKWIM.

Did lots of walking yesterday: it was my Granny's birthday, so went up to see her with the kids; they went on their bikes and I walked. Then walked to WI and back so think I walked for about 2h+. Start W3 of couch to 5k tonight. I found W2 pretty tough going so am a bit nervous. I think I prob need to have a snack beforehand but not sure what or when! We go out around 6.30-7pm; have just had lunch and would normally not eat until 6-6.30 but obviously tonight will have main meal later, so think I will need something to keep my energy levels up... probably why I struggled on Sunday TBH as had not eaten much.

Weetabix for breakfast; just had Sandwich thins with mozzarella, tomato & basil with large salad & Rachel's raspberry yogurt. Chilli, lime & coriander mackerel for tea, with couscous I think. Ouch at PP in mackerel, but figure it's good for me so not too bad an indulgence!

SueSylvesterforPM · 19/04/2011 15:47

littlefriendsusan dont loose heart :)
um
im going to akbars tonight , :O

Willabywallaby · 19/04/2011 16:43

I'm away in Devon at the moment and just worked out where I can get a wifi signal. So catching up on news. Thinking of blondes.

Could go to a weigh in tonight but can't be arsed. Still shocked about loss last week and really pigged out over weekend so probably put it all back on! Been a bit more sensible today but there's wine in the fridge calling my name.

Back home Friday and out in v lovely restaurant (my social life is my downfall) so going to go spinning sat am and start again.

Piffle · 19/04/2011 18:27

Have not been great this week and felt awkward posting about weightloss after Blondes dreadful news.
I visited my mum yesterday and she looks so tired and shocked and depressed after her heart attack. It has really thrown me.
I'm having healthy dinner but need the wee relaxant alcohol will offer as I'm just really tense.
It's only one week :(

herdingcats · 19/04/2011 18:44

Oh Piffle ,sorryto hear you're so stressed. It is very Sad about Blondes ,but you need to deal with your stuff just now. Don't mean that to sound harsh, just sometimes people can only deal with their stuff and not hlep others all the time. As you have said its only 1 week, if you need a glass or 2 have it.
Smile

hmc · 19/04/2011 19:14

I think that's probably quite normal following an MI Piffle but as time moves on she should feel stronger and fitter and more upbeat. It must be horrible to see your mother looking tired and ill - it should all improve though over time. Sorry you are feeling stressed about it - perfectly understandable.

wizzler · 19/04/2011 19:18

Piffle, hope things get better for you soon.

I lost 1.5lbs today, though it hardly seems important in the scheme of things.

TrinityRhino · 19/04/2011 19:20

blondes I'm so sorry to hear this news

xxx

hmc · 19/04/2011 19:36

Well done anyway Wizzler

hmc · 19/04/2011 19:40

Still feeling a bit impotent and useless (desire to help Blondes but not being able to do so.........)

Littlefish · 19/04/2011 20:00

Just a quick drop in to say that I put on half a pound this week. I've just taken my eye off the ball with holidays/concert rehearsals/visitors etc.

Back on it next week.

Any news from Blondes? Is there anything we can do?

benbon · 19/04/2011 21:45

had weigh in this morning and lost 2lbs... amazing considering i ate 3 meals out this week which were 2x ribs and chips and steak and chips .. dont deserve the loss but leader warned that the food could catch me out next week!!

FlorIxora · 19/04/2011 23:39

Evening All,

Do some of you do WW online?

Does it work? There are no WW meetings where I live. And I have tried and failed to lose weight since Jan 10th. I love 6 pounds and put 8-10 back on.

I know I don't eat well and don't exercise enough. But I feel I need some outside motivation.

I always fall off the wagon and then the shame/self-loathing eats me up whilst I eat cookies up. I also have a real problem with portion size.

Thanks

PS: I'm 167cm and 80kgs.

NoWayNoHow · 20/04/2011 00:44

littlefriendsusan and littlefish sorry that you gained.

wizzler and benbon congrats on losses.

Hi FlorIxora! I do WW online, find that weighing in (WI) at home, using the online resources and getting support from here suits me well. However, I did go to meeting to being with just to get an idea of the ProPoints (PP) system and to pick up some of the tools.

TBH, though, any of us could answer your questions about PP, and you can buy most tools off eBay or WW own website.

You'll definitely need a Points calculator that you can take around with you out and about (or if you have an iPhone or a Google Android smartphone, you can downloads a free app) and I'd advise getting the Eating Out Guide. Other than that, you can find most things on the WW website (like tracking what you eat, tracking your weight, recipes, loads of different foods and their PP values, etc). Online membership is £6.95 a month which I think is worth it.

Piffle · 20/04/2011 07:08

Flor - I do online only as I don't do "meetings" :-)
It is good if you are willing to plan esp lunches which to me are the most difficult meal.
I have lost 6 kgs in 8 weeks just by walking more, eating less and focussing
But have had a weekly treat meal ( WW allows you extra points for this)
V helpful if you pike a glass of vino, ale or need a few extra points daily

slovenlydotcom · 20/04/2011 07:23

Having put on 2 last week, I promptly lost 3, so am well back on track.

hmc · 20/04/2011 07:31

Littlefish - just a tiny gain, and you know why so not so bad really. Hope you get a good loss over the next 7 days

Well done Benbon and hopefully those 3 meals out wont come back to haunt you!

ForIxora - some people successfully lose weight via weightwatchers online, but I personally find I have to attend a meeting otherwise I can't seem to find the discipline and conviction to lose weight. Have currently lost over 40lbs and wouldn't have managed that without a group meeting. I notice you say you don't exercise much - well, your weight loss will certainly be better if you can build exercise in...

hmc · 20/04/2011 07:32

well done slovenly

NoWayNoHow · 20/04/2011 08:11

I'm off to WI tonight, and feel nervous already! I'm so relieved when I have been ,hope to have lost again ,but never feel confident. Does anyone else feel like this everyweek ?

CareyFakes · 20/04/2011 09:23

New to this website and forum, I've been on WW since Jan and lost 34lbs so far, just off to WI at 10am to see how much loss this week, hoping to get my 5th silver 7 and lose another 7lbs and get to 3 stone!

Love the plan, sits me fine but I do a lot of activity too so it's double the bonus!

malteserbunny · 20/04/2011 09:31
