I am debating changing my target to 10.8, but with a realistic hope to keep the scales saying 10 something as I maintain the weight loss. Does that sound a good idea?

Blondes, I think we are a similar height although maybe I am a teensy bit taller and I am certainly a healthy BMI, so you must be too, so that is a really positive thing I reckon. When we started this I was in the obese category Blush I think I will still feel a bit Blush about posting actual measurements. Gulp.

But I so need to tone up, my arms are awful and so is my bum, my tummy's not brill either come to think of it, my boobs have a life of their own, my thighs are wibbly & shameful.... Toning is what I need too. I think I need to keep running and stop moaning about it, and join a gym, Blondes, how is your dodgy ankle? Did it ever recover fully?

I also cannot believe I have lost nearly 3 stone, that seems extraordinary, it's like we are talking about someone else. But when we started this, I just put down 11 stone, picking it out of the air really, I never ever thought I'd get there, it all seemed highly improbable. I might even do it next Friday you know!!

'sighs'

no one gonna want me, when i get my head round wanting someone iyswim

smokinaces · 20/05/2011 17:45

Piste, huge well done to you. You looked fab last Thursday and by no means wobbly!! Its great you're now in the regular BMI too!

10st 5 or 6 is what I need to be to be in my BMI - but I'm only 5ft 4. I feel like a fat heiffer compared to you two!!

smokinaces · 20/05/2011 17:46

Blondes, you are a fabulous woman and you will be snapped up believe me. If I can find a bloke to shag me when I look like this with 2 kids under 5, you'll be taken within days of wanting to be!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/05/2011 17:50

you look great smokin as does piste

think you and i need to go on the pull go to that lovely pub one sunday for a yummy lunch again and oggle half naked men

smokinaces · 20/05/2011 17:53

deal Blondes - sunday lunch as soon as we can to oggle the men!! Grin

bebejones · 20/05/2011 17:54

Smokin I'm 5'4" too, I'm aiming for 10st...it seems a long way off. I'm v confused though, coz before I had to be 10st 8lbs to be a healthy BMI, and now I have to be 10st 5lbs?!?! Confused Have they changed it? DH seems to think so! Hmm

smokinaces · 20/05/2011 18:05

The NHS website says 10st 5, the Dietican I saw said 10st 6. So something round there!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 20/05/2011 18:28

Invite me to lunch too , and I'll give you both marks out of 10 for your ogglings skills and the men you oggle!

On the BMI website I saw, I think at 5ft 4 you'd need to be 10st 4

Blondes - you are a healthy weight - fabulous.
And Smokin - my bits are def wobbly, they were all strapped in!

OP posts:
smokinaces · 20/05/2011 18:37

you are more than welcome to lunch Piste! Its just where the M26 and M20 merge basically - Trottiscliffe.

so Bebe, we need to be somewhere between 10'4 and 10'8!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 20/05/2011 18:58

That is a really good aim Smokin...

I have changed the list to update my new target. I would really struggle to stay at 10.8, I was about that when Ted and I got married, but it didn't last Blush I was also wearing size 10 jeans at that time. I think size 10 is gone forever, and I don't think I'm that shape anymore IYSWIM even if I was that weight. Everything has gorn darn sarff

B - look at you at the top of the list - you can be Head Girl!! Lol

  • 10 4!!! :( I know I got to healthy BMI (according to NHS calculator) before & the lowest I've been is 10 6...so they must have changed it!! Hmm
RatherBeOnThePiste · 20/05/2011 19:51

Right, enough nonsense,
Takes Bebejones on....

Ok, this is all do able..

I have found four inc the BBC and lighterlife who agree on 10st 5lbs
So you have seven pounds to go. You will get there you know, long haul, small steps blah blah. It's only seven pounds, you were 15 stone Bebe, 15 bollocking stone! You are on the last leg, and you will get there.
Failing that you could always try and grow a bit?!

OP posts:
bebejones · 20/05/2011 19:57

I've been the same height since I was 14!! I stopped growing at 14!!!! Shock Then the boobs happened! Blush

smokinaces · 20/05/2011 20:21

Yes, NHS says 10st 5 too.

Bebe, I am the same height I was when I started school at 11. I was the tallest then Confused And yes, FF cup boobs mean I have no chance of ever being under 9st like I was at 16!!

we can do it. God damn!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/05/2011 20:23

bebe you will get there again - you were the 1st and only one to hit goal and lose 4+stone!!!

I only managed goal because of recent events :(

piste course you are welcome for lunch :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 20/05/2011 20:40

Bebe - you really will get there again, you have lost the most weight of us all. You are amazing, you are all amazing!! Grin

Blondes - a great result getting to your goal weight, but sorry for you that it wsn't achieved on a happier route Sad [understatement] But fab for you that you are a healthy weight now. Thumbs up for lunch Smile

Smokin - FF blimee girl. When you lose, does it come off your boobs? It certainly has mine. Were you bigger than that?! They are another thing of mine that aren't pretty, did I have them on my list?

It is funny though because I am still as self concious as ever about my bod. Still hate it, I really thought by now, I might like something!

OP posts:
bebejones · 20/05/2011 20:50

My boobs have shrivelled! :( Like deflated balloons! Tis ridiculous!

I shall endeavour to get to 10 5, I know I lost so much but really feel stuck again. Lost my motivation!

Blondes - Tis great that you are at goal but so sorry that it happened the way it did.

Maintaining is key. I have learned the hard way over the last couple of months that it goes back on at the drop of a hat!!!

I have got my first wedding cake comission for my friend's civil union in July. I am shitting myself! It's themed and stacked!! Shit!!!!! Bricking it!

smokinaces · 20/05/2011 20:57

Nope, mine have barely changed. They were a 36G, now a 34FF. They are pretty much as they were 3 stone heavier. Its good in that it makes my waist seem smaller, but god they are annoying!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 20/05/2011 21:20

Bebe - I got so stuck which is why I'm doing this low carbing nonsense. But we know that's not for you, but could you not try WW or something new for a change? Is your DH still dieting? I think I remember him starting a while ago?

Smokin - that's impressive you have not lost your bangers!

OP posts:
bebejones · 20/05/2011 22:01

DH is not dieting Hmm (but needs to :() He just rolls his eyes at me now when I mention anything about it!

I just need to drag myself out of my black hole & give myself a slap really.

Smokin - that is impressive! Mine were a 38GG and they are now a 34E! They don't look so good poor things!! :o

RatherBeOnThePiste · 20/05/2011 22:18

Do I remember him starting weight loss though? Well at least you are setting a good example for your DD.

Maybe we should try to organise our Slinky Meet Up? That would motivate us I reckon, cos we'd all make an effort!!

Plus Bebe - you have a wedding coming up? They're always lovely for making an effort for?

Read back over some of the original threads from Jan 2010, I found them quite motivational and funny in places. See what you were talking about then.

I'm going for a bath and bed option as I have to get up at 5.15 tomorrow. DD has a big regatta and she has to be at the school boat house by 6.15. Her race is at 8. DH is dropping her off but I'm still going to have to get up, make sure she eats and takes everything.

Night x
