I have a phone! Piste/Blondes text me (same number) with your name in the text so I can be in the land of living phones again Grin

will send it to you x

RatherBeOnThePiste · 17/05/2011 20:08

Lordy - it's only 12.30 and have already had lunch - this will be a long day!

So far....
Two yogs
Ham and salad
Several coffees

Am running later, though feel I have 0 energy, today may be the day I hit the gutter!

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/05/2011 13:11

feeling a bit down so reposted the silverback boys video on fb - always cracks me up Grin

no lunch for me but did have cake at coffee am

bebejones · 18/05/2011 15:09

Trying to be good but feeling a bit rubbish. Resisted the cakes I made for toddlers though. Had scrambled eggs for lunch & fruit & a yoghurt for brekkie.

Will catch up soon, just need to go & crawl back under my duvet with DD!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 18/05/2011 16:30

Bebe - you're not still doing low carb though are you?

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 18/05/2011 18:03

Smokin - how was your low carb day?

OP posts:
smokinaces · 18/05/2011 18:07

My meals are spot on. Chicken salad for lunch, lamb and veg for dinner.

but my snacking today was terrible. work had a shared table and I had apple and sultana cake, half a scone and a handful of chocolates. Not as bad as pre-diet though

Will get ontop of the snacking!!!

yours?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 18/05/2011 18:18

Well yes, same old, same old really thanks Smoky,

Had 2 yogs, ham and salad (yawn) and going to have either carrot and ginger soup or scrambled egg. No fruit as yet today, but was working from home this pm so had about 45 coffees. It is just so boring.

I'm not going to lose as much this week, although I have done exactly the same, and I'm getting that burning feeling, and really shaky in the evenings still. I had a sneaky look today, and I reckon it will be - 3 on Friday.

It's still not real weight loss, because its forcing your body to do something, and how do you reintroduce carbs and not just pile it back on?! But it is doing what I wanted, a bit of a kick start. I've just had a coffee with one of my greatest mates, and normally we share a cake or something, and of course I didn't want any of it today, and she told me ( as old mates can do so well) I was being bloody stupid doing this. Blush

OP posts:
smokinaces · 18/05/2011 18:24

See, I dont think we will pile it back on as such as we are still consuming some carbs in the fruit and veg. I'm just avoiding bread, rice, potatoes, crisps and pasta tbh - which how I feel now I think will actually be a long term thing. I feel better in myself, my stomach is better, I'm not bloated, my IBS has gone. By having the odd piece of chocolate I have also avoided the sugar crashes etc that I got before.

I think I will be a -2 or -3. My weigh in is Saturday btw. It works better for me or I pig out Friday night.

smokinaces · 18/05/2011 18:25

I think of it as a Slimming World idea - basically the old fashioned RED days where you could eat meat but no pasta etc?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 18/05/2011 18:28

What about the alcohol Smokin?! You avoiding that too? I dreamt the other night about cans of lager Grin

OP posts:
smokinaces · 18/05/2011 18:39

Um, well I didnt avoid it Saturday night Blush

But I've not drunk any since. I dont tend to drink indoors anymore.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 18/05/2011 18:56

I don't, but Ted loves red wine, so there's always some on the go.

I know this isn't carby, but I don't buy diet coke any more and I feel better for that. I used to drink gallons of the stuff. I still love it, but we don't have it at home anymore. I feel better for not drinking it so much for sure.

smokinaces · 18/05/2011 19:12

I limit myself to 1 can a day, mostly at work. Though today I did have a small bottle too through a meeting.

Am eating the boys Haribo. This is not good.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 18/05/2011 20:04

Step away from their Haribo! We have emergency haribo at school for those times when you need them, and when I went for some the other day - they had all gone. Shrieks - about 60 mini bloody bags!!

Bet it was you Smokin..

OP posts:
smokinaces · 18/05/2011 20:35

I do have a slight addiction to haribo Blush

all gone now though. and so am I with a cuppa and my mobile and a dvd. yes, my mobile. that i have worked out how to get on the internet with. yeay.

no apprentice tonight for me, too tired on a wednesday after 3 days of working. god forbid if I ever have to go full time again, I'd never make it!!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 18/05/2011 20:59

You are quite technically brilliant Smokin!

I can't do tv on a Wednesday night either because it's the night where I drive round and round ferrying my DC to things. This starts at 7 finishes at 10pm. In that I get to be home for about 30 mins. I am now waiting for DD to finish at 9.15.

When DH is home we share this, i.e. It's his turn!! He is in Paris today hence I'm doing.

But I just got petrol and a diet coke!!! Yaaaayyy Grin

I am just wondering....... If I do pilates everyday, how long will it take me to get a rear end like Pippa Middleton? Apparently that's what i need to do. Do you think it's possible before the summer holidays? Hmm

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 19/05/2011 09:16

Smokin I am impressed you've worked out your new mobile! I've only got a simple one and had trouble.

Pisty in some ways it sounds harder work when dc get older with all the ferrying around. So you'd like a rear like Pippa? I'd like a midriff like Pippa.

Bebe how are things with you today?

Blondes I got the email with the Silverback boys, v funny!

WELL - I am sneaking on here feeling sheepish. After the weekend of Eat As Much As you Like curry I went silly on Tuesday and had jam tarts and mini egg cakes Blush alright yesterday though. I am delaying wi this week to Monday so that I can have 4 clear days of behaving myself and don't stuff my face at the weekend Blush

GettinTrimmer · 19/05/2011 09:31

I don't do very much on facebook but I decided to search for a friend I've not seen for 11 years - and there she was! We're meeting up soon, and amazingly (she was always a prolific writer!) she's having her first novel published on 28 July.

This is the upside of being on fb!

bebejones · 19/05/2011 09:57

Feeling pretty rubbish, but got stuff to do!! DD is having her first proper haircut today! All very exciting, just hope she behaves herself!

Piste - How many years has PM been doing Pilates? Hmm

Trimmer - v cool about your friend. FB is fab for keeping in touch with friends from the past! It's how I keep in touch with school friends & we have organised 2 reunions now through fb!

Trying to be good today & not wallowing & therefore stuffing my face!

B - OJ & yoghurt
L - prob crackers & crunchy pb & fruit
D - spicy bean soup & sf jelly.

smokinaces · 19/05/2011 11:15

Am off to the circus tonight with the kids - taking them to Mcds for tea, so will try and be good!!

am already eating my lunch I am so hungry! sweet chilli chicken stirfry.

bebejones · 19/05/2011 11:36

Have a salad!! Wink Or one of the deli things, no fries!!! (Says she who had a quarter pounder with cheese & fries on Saturday!!) Blush

Benn & taken DD to the hairdressers for the first time, she was ever so good. Just a trim for now so her hair can thicken up. We decided she would look a bit silly with a fringe!! :o
