Right...am 3 wks and 6days in and have put on 2lbs....am on 29pts, don't use exercise points, often don't eat dailies even....once or 2 x a week have a vodka night in( max of 20pp)...any gr8 ideas as am losing the will to live after today's WI :(

hmc · 19/03/2011 20:03

Blondes - reckon you should go back to the old points system if you've still got all the books etc, since it worked for you....

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/03/2011 20:42

debs you MUST eat dailies or body thinks it is starvung and you wont lose weight

hmc i am tempted, tho funny thing is now after doing ww pp for 3mths my brain is geared towards that in pp and cant rem old pp :(

i shall battle on, but weeks like this piss me off

i even weigh out my rice crispies for fucks sake and friends laugh at me

LoopyLa · 20/03/2011 08:24

Damn it all, I may have just sabotaged this week and it was only day 1. Went out with friends last night and ended drinking bottle & a half of vino THEN had major munchies. Now have got barely any weeklies left - and this was AFTER my plan to cut back on my weeklies...grrrrrr.

Angry

TMI disclaimer:-
In other news, I think my bottom has become less dimply with all the walking I'm now doing.

Grin
debs39 · 20/03/2011 08:39

3wks 4 days until my hols and got to get off these last 5lbs.....am scared to eat up to max on dailies though...wldn't care if i was sneaky eating and not tracking but am being really really really good and exercising ie run or pump / attack / combat classes 5 out of 7 days a week :( not like I haven't given it time either....nearly a mth in and weight going on!!!! heck!! felt a bit panicky yesterday when i saw the scales...is this my side into middleaged spread, methinks..........

NoWayNoHow · 20/03/2011 09:39

loopy I did exactly the same thing this week- drank ate all but 11 of my weeklies on the day after WI! If it helps, it's not been that hard to stick to dailies. The guilt helps spur me on! And thank you for making me laugh about your bum- have noticed the same with mine. Anyone else got a AMI factoid for this Sunday??

blondes so Angry for you, wish we could find an explanation. Maybe it's nothing to do at all with WE, maybe your body is just having a weird week? Just started TOTM here, and I do remember lots of us being in sync. Could that be a factor?

debs I know how hard it is to trust a system when you're desperate to lose weight, but I'm going to put the next bit in capitals so that you know I mean it and remember it!

YOU ARE SABOTAGING YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EVERY TIME YOU DON'T EAT YOUR DAILIES!!

You are not losing weight because you are not giving your body enough fuel and it is therefore storing everything you do eat as fat. If you want to lose those 5lbs then you must eat all 29PP. Sorry if it looks like I'm shouting at you Blush

NoWayNoHow · 20/03/2011 09:40

Sorry, that should have read "TMI factoid". Damn phone.

NoWayNoHow · 20/03/2011 09:41

And that should have been "WW" not WE.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/03/2011 09:43

loopy oh dear ((hugs)) vino is ww WORST enemy :( but dont panic,as you have got 6 days left, could have been worse and drank the wine on the 6th day

can you cut back maybe 1pp a day (know ww say you cant shave off daily pp but sure 1/2 a dy saving 7/14 a week cant help,as its not if you havnt eaten/drank the pp iyswim

try and exercise more to reclaim pp and glad bum is less wrinkly Grin

debs again i say it, you have to eat your day pp, so at least 29 - how many do you have a day and how much weight have you got left to lose?

you are doing a lot of exercise so maybe you are building muscle which weighs more than fat, have you measured yourself?

Piffle · 20/03/2011 09:46

If you do online I swapped the way activity points were loaded so they go on to my weekly splurge points. So I can build it back up by walking a couple hrs a day
I had drinkathon last night but very good food wise so seem to have got away with it
No booze til next Friday so onwards!
Out with kids and dogs and friends kids and dogs at seaside today so fairly energetic
Avoiding fish n chips < hard>

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/03/2011 09:47

noway crossed posts with debs lol - great minds

i have decided that wine is so bad and i just cant drink it :(

yes we were in sync werent we with af :)

totm is/should be next fri/weekend for me - checked and double checked diary and day 22 and im generally a 28 day gal (theres my tmi lol)

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/03/2011 09:48

piffle enjoy the beach, maybe have prawns/scallops not deep fried - i am not a lover of chips so dont understand the obession of those who do love them Grin

OP posts:
LoopyLa · 20/03/2011 09:57

Errr, excuse ME Blondes I did not say wrinkly, I said less "dimply". I do not have the arse of an 85 year old thank you very much, more a lazy 33 year old! There's a big difference!

But thanks for the hugs ;)

And thanks Noway too :)

NoWayNoHow · 20/03/2011 10:02

blondes I'm afraid you have to leave now. Don't like chips?????? Just passed out with incredulity!

Actually, come to think of it, I like a lot of things for the condiments alone. Chips so can drown them in vinegar, hot dogs for the ketchup and mustard, crudités/crisps for the dips. I know, I know, I'm weird Grin

JoJoBaldwin · 20/03/2011 10:04

I'm sure it's a lovely botty Loopy Grin

I'm hit with a double-whammy of totm, massive carb cravings and only £3 to last me till tuesday (can't afford any bns!!!!!!!!!! But loads of frickin bread in freezer).

Got rid of last hotcrossbun that OH helpfully bought by giving it to DD for brekkie while I had bowl of oatsosimple. Then she decided she didn't like it so i had that as well.

I'm just a flour fiend at the moment.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/03/2011 10:19

loopy then least you will have a less wrinky botty when you are 80 Grin but now it is smooth as a babys bum Grin

jojo can you use the bread to help your carb fix?

noway you eat hot dogs? Shock Hmm

you do know they are FULL and made from earholes, earholes are arseholes?Grin

'shudders and throws up'

OP posts:
NoWayNoHow · 20/03/2011 10:29

blondes, yes I have been known to partake of an excellent quality bratwurst or two, but none since WW. I do my best to avoid earhole sausages whenever possible! [Grin]

NoWayNoHow · 20/03/2011 10:30

BLOODY. PHONE.

androbbob · 20/03/2011 10:53

Oh who mentioned hot cross buns - just pointed the Tesco ones and nearly fell of the settee - worked out at 6PP - so wont be eating that then!

Very busy here again (but had a good day eating wise yesterday). Trying to plan today but kids were promised a trim to McD's (heaven forbid) so see a hapy meal for lunch looming! Just had yoghurt and an apple for breakfast to compensate!

All sound like doing ok even with the STS and some losses - I STS this week - took great effort for that so hoping for a loss this week!

Will be back to namecheck later as havent read all the thread yet and pc battery about to die!

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/03/2011 14:51

androb well done for sts, i gained Angry and was within my pp (just)

not that im moaning about it or anything Wink

enjoy maccy d's

OP posts:
NoWayNoHow · 20/03/2011 16:59

androbob if you're still desperate for that hot cross bun, then the "Lighter choices" Tesco ones are actually quite nice and you save a point (only 5PP). Have it for breakfast with low fat spread, and it's lower than 2 Weeabix and semi-skimmed milk.

Well done for sts!

I have a vision of a world 20 years in the future - landscapes laid to waste, fires raging, a lifeless planet, with the exception of a figure on the horizon - it's blondes and she's holding her weapon above her head and screaming "They said I could eat all 49!!!" Grin Grin Grin

vnmum · 20/03/2011 17:09

Hi all, Sorry i've not been on in a long while, i've been quite busy and not been on mumsnet much at all, I'm trying to spend more time doing things with DD when she's not at nursery and when she is at nursery i am doing the Couch to 5k.

I haven't read the previous thread as it moves so fast and have briefly skimmed this one. Just wanted to pop in to say Hi and hope you haven't forgotten me as I haven't forgotten you,lol

Well since the move and living on crap for 2 weeks i have actually found it really hard to break the crap habit and am still within my goldweight range but only just. It is not helped by having a really nice chinese takeaway across the road and a domino's 5 mins away.

Anyway I am getting back on plan but am trying to really limit my carbs and see if that has any better effect. DH found an even better before photo of me, a full length one where I said "but i was pregnant then" to which he replied "look at the house it was took in, DD was 1 then, you were not pregnant" [embarrassed] so seeing that is enough to spur me on to get my act together.

I hope everyone is doing ok on the plan and i think i really need to find myself a group to start going to.

Have I missed any big milestones off anyone?

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 20/03/2011 17:37

Noway - lol. I'm sharing your vision!

LoopyLa · 20/03/2011 19:07

HA HA HA Noway HA HA HA HA!!!!
