Well the old thread was getting mordibly obese wasn't it? Grin

Welcome new people and people who've been here for a while, this is the definitive Paul McKenna support thread.

Whether you are dribbling over his Paulness or wibbling over pudding, we're here to listen, slightly mock you and tell you to step away from the scales.

The Paul Mckenna plan is not a diet but a way of teaching yourself to eat slowly and consciously and achieve the body you've always dreamed of.

There will be no diet foods on this thread, no starvation and no beating ourselves up because ^lifes' too bloody short to weigh a carrot and we'd far rather be doing something incredible instead!

Well it's worth a try isn't it? Blush

Ok not such a good day. Been feeling really ill last couple of days so have been alternating between bed and couch and not been eating very well. Today i've just been reaching for crisps and biscuits. Dinner this evening was pizza as it was DS2's choice being his birthday today. Hopepfully be feeling better soon and back on track tomorrow.

Well done Rookiemater You must be so pleased with yourself and all of your hard work Smile Wonderful!

whomovedmychocolate · 18/04/2011 21:26

Celestial - I'm afraid I have edited that bit out of my MP3 versions Wink

You don't need them. Just cut the last 21 seconds off.

wmmc - what a brilliant idea. I've got editing software I use for loads of other stuff. Why on earth didn't I think editing Paul?

Although Celestial, I agree that this thread is a great advert for Pauling (so any freebies appreciated).

Celestial - hope you feel better soon.

JuicyOlive · 19/04/2011 00:10

And Cheerful Yank - enough of the negativity . I've looked at your profile and you are beautiful with cheekbones to die for . And your family looks lovely too. Get ye hence to the mirror and start loving yourself.

For those who didn't come to the PM seminar, it may seem wierd but the mirror exercise which PM did with a woman who had absolutely no self confidence (yet was really quite attractive) was one of the most moving parts of the seminar for a lot of us. And I think it reaffirmed the whole point of making peace with your body in order to move on.

CheerfulYank · 19/04/2011 02:26

Thanks juicy . Blush

I was at the cinema (part time evening job) and was hungry. I wanted to buy some chocolate or something but just thought, "nah." I'm making myself some fish and rice w/veggies.

Really, really need to start making time to listen to the CD more often! Grr!

Oh and way to go on your race rookie ! Woo-hoo!

CheerfulYank · 19/04/2011 02:33

I'm going to walk to the store to buy some food in a bit...it's going to be lovely to think "what would I like" instead of "oh what should I buy, what fits into my diet this week..." Can't wait!

Thanks Paul! :)

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 19/04/2011 08:24

Oh, how do I edit an MP3? would love to get rid of the shouty countdown lol it always gives me such a fleg!

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 19/04/2011 08:26

CheerfulYank - that is one of the best bits of Pauling for me - walking into the shop knowing I can have anything and not what has no/low syns/points/calories - so liberating!

shrinkingnora · 19/04/2011 08:41

Onesandwichshort - we're about 15 mins from Dyrham. Haven't been to Stourhead since I was a child - it's a quite a bit further for us but I will definitely be taking the kids when they're a little less annoying in the car bit bigger.

Another thing has struck me as very weird about slimming world - really wanting to eat nuts/seeds/dried fruit etc and not being able to because they're too many syns. Really daft to have to override your body's craving for natural good food.

Still going ok here - bit of a jaffa cake blip last night but had been at the hospital for 3 hours with our neighbour and had them instead of dinner. I think it was only a blip in terms of not actually savouring them because I was hungry and I did stop when I was full.

JuicyOlive · 19/04/2011 08:49

Glaikit - I love your accent (yes I can sometimes hear it through your posts) and the lovely vocabulary I don't have a clue about! Wtf is a fleg?

Re editing - I use garage band on my iMac. But you can get editing packages for Pcs too. What system do you use?

JuicyOlive · 19/04/2011 08:57

Nora - I'm the same with avocados. Such a nutriticious food full of good fats and vitamins yet highly disincentivised on most diets as very calorific. They feature really highly in my gourmet lunches now. Yesterday lunch was rocket, avocado, tomatoes, a little shredded Parma ham tossed in a little olive oil and balsamic. Yes calorific but so delicious and it felt healthy.

CelestialstarlightsPassion · 19/04/2011 09:30

Yummmm. I love a good avocado me Grin. Juicy Your lunch yesterday sounds delicious. I think lunch at yours is in order. I'm loving balsamic glaze at the moment. I'm putting over everything that is salad related [drools] I'm sure it's very calorific too but it's soooo worth it Smile

WMMC That's such a good idea. I'm a complete technophobe I don't know if I have an editing package on my PC but I will investigate. Thanks.

Juicy Can you hear accents in peoples posts? Really? Oh I love this game. Do me! Grin

JuicyOlive · 19/04/2011 10:11

Celestial - I'm not that clever. HowtolookgoodGlaikit revealed upthread where she is from when talking about "rowies". Try throwing in a bit of regional vocabulary!

Re lunch - forgot to mention I also chucked in some pumpkin seeds for extra crunch! 12.30 good for you Celestial.

JuicyOlive · 19/04/2011 11:13

If you google free audio editing software for pc, several options come up like this one. Disclaimer - I have no idea what these are like! I think some PCs may well come with their own preloaded software too.

If there are any other iWhores out there, I can talk you through how to use GarageBand.

What software do you use wmmc?

SolosEggSpoonentiallyShrinking · 19/04/2011 11:27

I've lost a bit, but still can't get to the right side of 14st. Am going to start again properly when the Dc's are back at school.

CheerfulYank · 19/04/2011 13:02

Hi Solo ! You can do it! :)

I could throw in regional dialect but I'm not sure it would register!

I'm about to have toast with a bit of cream cheese and turkey per BsshBosh. :) Looking forward to it.

I do think my pants are seeming a tiny bit looser....

Oh and I love avocado! It's healthy and I don't care what anyone says.

SolosEggSpoonentiallyShrinking · 19/04/2011 13:08
Grin

I'm going to have a cheese and coleslaw sandwich :)

shrinkingnora · 19/04/2011 13:38

Solo - if you stop weighing yourself, you won't know which side of 14 stone you are and then you can just concentrate on being happy Grin I dare you.

CelestialstarlightsPassion · 19/04/2011 13:43

Loving Juicy's CY link Grin

whomovedmychocolate · 19/04/2011 15:19

Umm logic actually - we own a recording studio. Blush

OP posts:
CelestialstarlightsPassion · 19/04/2011 16:28

WMMC Really? Oh I'm so envious. I would love a recording studio of my own. I'm a classical crossover singer and owning a studio and being able to make my own recordings is a life long ambition which sadly was never achieved [But I can still dream emoticon] Smile

whomovedmychocolate · 19/04/2011 16:28

Well it's up for sale! Wink

OP posts:
CelestialstarlightsPassion · 19/04/2011 16:30

If only my finances could stretch Sad

whomovedmychocolate · 19/04/2011 18:21

Solo - my weight loss has slowed too - it will after the initial bit, but it'll keep on trucking. Who cares if you reach your goal on September 6th or the 15th - really? Wink

Just keep on, keeping on. You are what you repeatedly do. Do good things for yourself. :)
