Just been back to look and this is the fifth HotMama thread Shock Fingers crossed we all are where we want to be by the end of this one...

I did it ShockShockShockGrinGrinGrin

Can't believe I have biked 44 miles in the last 30 hours, although my knees are feeling rather creaky...

Am thinking about upping the ante for March but think I will see how I get on until the weekend before making any mad fool over-ambitious proclamations.

crispy welcome back Smile Sounds like you've been busy today so hopefully you'll be back in the zone. it's only this stupid challenge that has kept me exercising over half term, otherwise I would have been totally lolling and stuffing my face actually I did the second part anyway

loti one more and you'll be half way through the shred Shock well done Smile and glad that DH is appreciating your efforts Wink

Hurrah for Fjor!!!!! GrinGrinGrin

By my reckon you have burned off a very impressive 8400 cal from biking alone!!!

Hope you have a well deserved rest today Smile

Well done for get back on the wagon crisp..

I must confess that although my exercising is going not too bad my eating is not Hmm..

Need to shred today but really don't feel like it with this horrible cold but will try and push myself and think about fjor committment to the task Smile

luckoftheirish · 01/03/2011 09:18

completed day 15 day 5 of level 2.. cold appears to be in my chest a bit so i huffed and puffed and wheezed my way through it.. it is definitely not getting easier but seems to go by quicker iykwim Smile

CrispyTheCrisp · 01/03/2011 11:41

Woo WOO!!!!!! Seriously impressive. Am thinking i need a challenge now as moderation is clearly failing Hmm

Walked/ran 5 miles this morning. Mapped it on my iphone which was quite cool. Apparently i climbed 110m at an average gradient of 4.7%. No idea if that is good or bad, but it is bloody hilly round here Grin

Off to the shops now. Not the best time but never mind....

FjorgynAndHotWater · 01/03/2011 19:18

Everyone has been busy today, yay Smile

I have done 2x school runs, 3 hours gardening and 11 miles on my bike so am exersazzed out today. Scales not looking too good this morning but hoping for a last-minute nosedive on the figures...

OP posts:
luckoftheirish · 01/03/2011 20:02

Hurrah Fjor..

I think that you guys have done considerably more than me today Blush...

think i need to do more than just the shred each day to get any impact on the scales but so shattered atm that shredding is the best i can manage [blush

luckoftheirish · 01/03/2011 20:03

ps crisp well done on that impressive run/walk and up inclines Shock

luckoftheirish · 02/03/2011 09:39

day 16 of shred complete level 2 day 6.. god my posts are boring Blush

FjorgynAndHotWater · 02/03/2011 09:49

loti shredding every day is an amazing achievement! If it is leaving you feeling sweaty then it's definitely doing you good. I know you think you are too heavy but honestly, how much weight have you actually put on since the Daisy Duke photo?

OP posts:
luckoftheirish · 02/03/2011 10:00

aw thanks fjor, i am reduced to a complete sweaty mess Blush.. my cold is getting me down a bit and i miss my biking..

have put on a good 8-10lbs since daisy BlushBlush which might not seem like a lot but can really feel it, my clothes are waaay too tight Sad..

have a 40th b-day party coming up on 26th march and determined to get back into my jeans! also af on her way which is contributing to the foul mood/overeating Blush

FjorgynAndHotWater · 02/03/2011 10:01

Crsipy yay for your running yesterday, I bet it was v beautiful out. Much better view than the one from my bike Grin although managed to get a copy of P&P from the charity shop for 50p yesterday so I have a picture of Mr. Darcy in my mind to keep me going! Not sure about a gradient of 4.5%, that sounds rubbish to my ageing trigonometry skills. Imagine a right-angled triangle 50cm long and 1.1cm high. Your iphone is telling you that you've run up the hypotenuse (slopy side Wink) but hasn't taken into account the fact that your run will have been zigzagging up and down like crazy. Sorry, am boring myself now Blush

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 02/03/2011 12:26

LOL at your trig Hots Grin

Amazing shred achievement Loti. I never did more than about 3 in a row Blush.

1 hr Circuits this morning and then DD2's swimming lesson. May shred later as i am feeling inspired. I know my low mood and crap eating was driven as a result of no exercise last week but it is breaking the cycle which is hard

CrispyTheCrisp · 02/03/2011 12:27

Oh, and it was not beuatiful, it was cold, damp, drizzly and muddy Biscuit

luckoftheirish · 02/03/2011 13:14

pass your inspiration over here crisp as i have none!!

Well done on your 1hr circuit training..

dh has decided that he needs to lose a stone.. he is starting on monday as he has a stag do this weekend, hoping that will give me the incentive to try harder Smile

FjorgynAndHotWater · 02/03/2011 22:22

12 miles and a few sit ups too Shock, have decided to go for it and aim for 300 miles this month, so that's 23/300.

loti I cross-posted with you earlier. To me 8-10lb on top of your skinniness would be bliss but I do understand we all have different ideas of what we want so can totally appreciate you wanting them gone Smile (you are not obese though ) Sounds like you are coming unstuck with snacky food, I know you have mentioned pringles before, well it only takes 3 or so tubes to put 1lb on, and biscuits etc soon add up too (voice of bitter experience Blush) so maybe DH going on a health kick will make it easier if there's less snacky food lying around. You are certainly doing enough exercise!

Well done on your circuits crisp and glad you are back in the zone, but don't go too crazy. I'm sure too much is almost as bad as not enough exercise, especially if you pull something or are just so knackered you can't be arsed the next day.

I must confess to a Twirl Blush it was bloody lovely though Grin

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 02/03/2011 22:39

LOTI, DH has said he wants to schedule in some exercise time. Apparently whilst i am watching crap tele Hmm. Git.

No shred here, but wine avoidance was impressive given the challenges of DD1 atm. Not sure what i will do tomorrow. Have a fair amount of work to do, but think i have time to squeeze a little run in. Looking in the mirror at Pilates on mon and i can see my weight sitting on my thighs

luckoftheirish · 03/03/2011 07:30

AF has arrived so that has explained the hormonal mood and bloating Hmm.. will have definitely gained for tomorrow as i from montioring the scales for the last few months a +3 would be normal.. we shall see..

DD2 starts her first day of pre school eek, so i will be a nervous wreck for three hours {assuming she lasts the full hour} so will hopefully shred and maybe do fat burn dvd she says [hopefully]Smile

luckoftheirish · 03/03/2011 07:32

oh forgot to say well done on continuing biking fjor very very impressive Smile

crisp my dh is going to try shredding HmmGrin.. if he is serious about things he will be the lucky buggar who loses the 20lbs as stated on the dvd Hmm

CrispyTheCrisp · 03/03/2011 08:19

Lol loti, I did think about trying dh on it! I am going for a run and powerplate today which will get me 4 exersazz. Tentative weigh suggests +1 over 2 weeks (10 not so good, 4 very good) so ok with that. I expect it will catch up with me over the next week or two so need to be super good. Now need to lose 11lb in 3 weeks Hmm

CrispyTheCrisp · 03/03/2011 11:12

10k, 730 calories, 10 mins powerplate and 100 sit ups Smile

luckoftheirish · 03/03/2011 13:36

Wow wow wow crisp v v impressive!!

I have shredded day 17 day 7 of level 2 and cleaned the house from top to bottom!

May try my fat burn DVD later but still have a cold so might not Blush

luckoftheirish · 03/03/2011 14:46

forced myself to do the fat burn dvd, just kept thinking how impressive you two are being you are my angels on my shoulders willing me on Smile

FjorgynAndHotWater · 03/03/2011 22:47

Don't diss yourself loti, you too are putting in some amazing exercise!

I have done 14 miles tonight, 37/300, and swerved some mini marshmallow teacake things, although did have a bit of pavlova (v small bit) and half a bun. Just realised I forgot to do any sit ups at all, may squeeze in a very few when I go to bed in a minute.

Good luck to us all in the morning Smile

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 03/03/2011 23:35

Ooh yes, good luck. I have just finished work - the peril of using work time to go to the gym Hmm. On this upside it has meant i had a small tea and not even a thought of Wine

LOTI, i agree with Hots. You are a gorgeous slender lady and you have been exercising about 3 times daily and every day. I would consider shredding and cleaning to be masses of exercise and would not have thought about even picking up the fat burn dvd Blush

I am going to walk to preschool and back tomorrow if the weather is ok, so hoping to start the week off with my first exersazz Smile

FOr the record this week:
Swam 40 Lengths/1hr pilates
8k run (outside)
1 hr circuits
10k run, 10 mins powerplate, 100 situps

FjorgynAndHotWater · 04/03/2011 06:45

crispy that's a great mix [impressed] and all double-time too Grin Hope it shows up next week on the scales!

I have done 5x Exersazz, mainly biking, well OK all biking... 81 miles plus a reasonable amount of walking ad gardening. The upshot is.... -3.5lb Grin So the +2 from last week was just bread water retention, and I have lost another 1.5lb too Grin
