Victorious there is a thread on S&B asking after flattering jeans, you normally have good recommendations but can't remember what they are

Is mamaG on twitter, Victoroopus?

If so please tell her to put down her copy of Women's Realm and come back to MN to say hello.

ArcticRoll · 02/09/2010 13:49

Did emergency weirdy Dukan diet for holiday in Cornwall-lost eight pounds but now am also eating fruit and veg as ds and dd were commenting on my unhealthy ways!

Pollyanna · 02/09/2010 14:12

carb free diets don't work for me. I actually gain weight and stop pooing.

am doing quite well on ww - about 3lb down this week so far, but was very blobby after hols. the whole ww interactive website thingie is fab!

Just to clarify twitter.. if you put #ipodge anywhere in your tweet that is ok is it?

VictoriousSponge · 02/09/2010 14:45

I'm going insane. I am driving myself mad.

Getting fatter and fatter and promising to start dieting every monday and then running out of no-carb ideas by tuesday.

I lost a stone and a half in 8 weeks earlier in the summer. Now I have put it all back on. I used to have my own low carb thread on here and everything.

I keep getting caught in photographs and feeling sick when I see myself.

I bought the 30 day shred and never even looked at it.

I can't stand it any more. I'm tired of avoiding mirrors and buying bigger and bigger bras.

I need a low carb menu plan.

and a boot camp.

EldonAve · 03/09/2010 07:22

maybe low carb doesn't suit you?

MayorNaze · 03/09/2010 07:40

@ipodge thread with info/help for low carbers is here

BecauseImWorthIt · 03/09/2010 08:15

Twitter seems complicated, until you're in it - then it's actually quite straightforward and it's fun. Come and join us!

BudaisintheZONE · 03/09/2010 08:25

ICod!! You are actively recruiting from here and have left us on the Nothing Tastes Better thread. I actually typed 'batter' by mistake - shows where my mind is! Anyway. I can't do twitter. It makes no sense to me. And my MN habit is bad enough. Come back to Nothing Tastes Better!

traceybath · 03/09/2010 08:28

Right - started on wednesday and 1.75lbs gone so another 5.25lbs to go.

Will need strong willpower over weekend though.

I am eating a lot of special k - cheaper than dukan and more effective for me.

Beattiebow · 03/09/2010 08:40

have lost 4lb since monday - not bad! am doing ww points system which really seems to make sense. shows how much snacking I was doing though no wonder I wasn't losing weight before.

Can anyone post some soup recipes?

msboogie · 03/09/2010 10:27

low carb does suit me - it's the best approach I have tried. I just can't get myself organised and keep falling off the wagon.

I am in twitter and on ipodge etc but I can't get into it. I understnd how twitter works but I don't understand how ipodge works.

MayorNaze · 03/09/2010 14:33

oh bugger had half a bacon roll and half a plate of chips at soft play :(

will start mon Grin

actually really will start mon as that is when i take up pilates whoohoo :)

MayorNaze · 03/09/2010 14:35

scanned the low carb thread and i eat far more fruit than i thought i did which apparently is a big no no :(

i lke eggs though. eggs i can do.

is it the no carbs or the lots of veg that gives me the frooty tooties though??? i really can't continue to parp like this Blush

MayorNaze · 03/09/2010 14:51

ok read the low carb thread properly

i think i will just eat less and move more

and drink peppermint tea to counteract the guffage Blush

BecauseImWorthIt · 03/09/2010 15:38

I eat lots of eggs and don't have that problem, mayornaze!

Fruit definitely a problem if you're low carbing, but veg (especially green leafy veg and salad) is good.

chipmonkey · 03/09/2010 16:25

BIWI does eat a lot of eggs.

BecauseImWorthIt · 03/09/2010 18:15

Oy!

Grin

[farts]

Katisha · 03/09/2010 18:23

Oi BIWI what happened to dukan?

BecauseImWorthIt · 03/09/2010 21:37

I had a weekend off (can't remember why, but it was a significant weekend), and it all went to pot.

And I found that I hated those bloody galettes with a passion, after only a few days' worth!

Actually I've been really off piste all summer, hence now starting again. In the end, I decided that straightforward low carbing was more 'me'. There were too many inconsistencies in the Durkan book - low carb but including fruit yoghurt, including the oatmeal, which is carby, etc - I just didn't feel that comfortable with it.

But I have got the book and think I need to read it again. The main thing at the moment is to make sure I just get into the zone and keep myself focused.

How's it going for you?
