Hi everyone and thanks for the bestowed honour of starting the new thread, Puzzled!

It’s so lovely to have all of you along for the ride on here. Thanks for keeping me company! I love reading how things are going for you and being able to ask questions or share things.

Yesterday, I tried on a fleece top I bought last year. It fit me so snugly last year, I looked like a burst sausage in its casing. Now it’s actually loose. My rings are starting to feel a bit loose too- I wear my mum’s engagement and eternity rings and on the cold mornings, they’re starting to slip down my fingers.

I’m down 1.9kg this week and, although I’m still feeling hungry, it’s not an all-consuming hunger that leads to binging. I’ve actually needed to add more food as what I’ve eaten today and yesterday ended up being 1300 calories and 1100 calories. Given that my watch is still estimating approx 3000 calories burned on a typical day at school, I know I need at least 1600 to have enough oomph. Is anyone else finding the same?

I’ll link this thread in the old one so everyone can find their way here.

Well - I felt like I had a small win today. Finally the scales moved. Not by much, but instead of seeing 13stone 8Ib (occasionally it went up to 9Ib) I saw 13stone 7Ib this morning. It's the first minor drop I have seen in about 6 weeks, but seeing that number 7 made me do a little bathroom dance. Plus I have mild constipation, so I'm hoping when I do manage to go, it might help push things along 😂I'll have a prune or two later!!

Also - Last autumn I was wearing my long denim skirts to work in various shapes and colours, but by the start of winter, they all felt crazy, cut me in half, tight. I pretty much spent the entire winter months in leggings and jumper dresses. But now my denim skirts fit comfortably again, and not just fit - they are positively roomy. I actually looked at myself in the mirror this morning and thought 'does this skirt look too big?'. So although the scales haven't been moving, I think my body has been morphing into a slightly more slimline version of itself.

Definitely take a record of your waist/hips etc - having a record of the cms as you progress is a real boost. There is often a win to be seen somewhere by keeping a record of kg/stone/lb/cm/inch/%change/bmi etc....
also keep that photo from the start to come back to 6months/1year from starting!!!

3rd pen just ordered.

I have gone for 7.5mg, but I may well stick with using it for a 5mg dose - depending on how I get on this week and next (4th dose from 2nd pen which is a 5mg pen).

I have found the 5mg pen fine - I did do a step up 3.75mg dose using my first pen. No side effects. So far I have had x2 separate days of bad burps which were during the first pen.

Weight loss is definitely slower this time around (I lost 20kg in 6 months last time) so far this time I have lost 4kg since starting - I have just taken my 8th dose this week. I am hoping to lose the final 10-15kg that I still had to lose when I stopped approx a year ago.

Most probably I will stay on a 5mg dose. I intend to purchase only 2 further pens - using the 2nd of those to titrate down from wherever I get to.

I am confident that this will have given me enough time to put in place habits around nutrition and exercise that I can maintain - thereby controlling my weight going forward myself. I am weight training x3 per week and getting back in to running again.

For info -
In the time that it has taken me to write this post IQDoctor have honoured a price match against the Medicine Marketplace price on my order with them today. Super quick - might take a couple of days to land in my account, but the refunded amount is showing as an upcoming payment in my banking app.

Weigh in day for me and very happy as just about to get to the scales starting with an 11!!!!

SW. 12 st 12
CW. 12 st 0 (actually 11 st 13.9!!) - week 5, total loss 12lb
GW. 11 st

had first 5mg MJ last Friday and was fine, still no adverse side effects that I’ve noticed. I’m really enjoying being able to eat and stop when full, this must be what slim people do as a matter of course! (My 18yo who is a size 8 stick insect but thinks she has a belly will regularly leave part of a meal when she’s had enough)

I had the email today asking me to review my next order, which is due to be despatched next Wednesday. I’ve confirmed I will continue with 5mg (though I haven’t actually taken that much yet) and applied my “Curely Credits” which have given me a few quid off it.

So far I have taken 3 + 3.75 from this pen. If I take another 3.75 on Sunday that will be a total of 10.5.

It is 7 weeks since my first jab and I am down exactly a stone.

Mamatriesmounjaro · Yesterday 19:36

@PuzzledObserver did you get to 3 75 by dialling less clicks of a 5 pen or by dialing more clicks in your 2.5 pen?

I think I'd feel I was wasting money of I did 3.75 as then I'd be throwing some MJ away at the end? But I'm still very gassy day three each week so I'm loathe to move straight to 5!

I used the 5mg pen. I don’t plan on wasting any.

i’ve taken 3 + 3.75 so far. Let’s say I take 3.75 for the next 3 weeks, that will be a total of 18mg, leaving 2 in the pen, give or take. So that week, I can take 2 from that pen and 2 from the next pen, for a total of 4, and so on.

You just need to be able to do maths. That, and extra needles and/or syringes.

Blushingviolets · Yesterday 20:13

@Mamatriesmounjaro @PuzzledObserver I don’t have it to hand but there’s a website that lets you work out how many of a certain dose you can get out of the pen.
