Should I mention my husband's Mounjaro side effects and eating my lunches

I'm not supposed to know DH is taking mounjaro but do. I've had to endure three months of awful mood swings, temper tantrums, nausea, violent tummy upsets. However, he has lost a lot of weight.

He insisted on buying and cooking his own food. Which upset me at first but I've got used to.

However, I did my own shop yesterday for lunches, coronation chicken planned for two lunches, cold meat for another two lunches. I had some chicken yesterday. Today all the chicken has gone and most of the cold meat.

Now I've said nothing because his mood swings have abated, he's being nice.

Should I say something or just be grateful that my DH is easier to live with.

He's 76 and yes he drinks loads of water.

He had a full medical checkup earlier in the year was told everything was good but he was obese. He told me he asked about mounjaro because his friend was on it for type 2 diabetes. GP said it would be fine but he would have to see their pharmacist and buy it.

GP is seeing him every month, as is pharmacist. So he's well monitored.

I'm extremely confused. If he hasn't admitted he's on it, how do you know so much about his dosage amount?

I know you only seem to want responses to people who have been on Mounjaro, which I haven't been, but I have been married (still am) and find this a very weird way to conduct a marriage. Secret meds and diets, separate food shopping. It's all really strange. Why not just have an honest conversation and buy food together even if you end up eating different things? I can't imagine each of us buying and hoarding our own food.

How is he explaining his monthly GP appointments to you? Why is he having monthly GP appointments when its a private prescription? How do you know so much about his schedule?

When I first took MJ I did keep it secret from DH, because I was embarassed. He obviously found out and immediately told me he knew and reassured me that he wouldn't have judged me and wanted to support me. Tbh hiding it from DH was pretty stressful, I would genuinely wonder if all the secrecy is adding to your husbands mood swings. Im glad my DH didnt keep up the pretence he didnt know whilst secretly monitoring my jabbing/dosing routine.

What I would wonder @justasking111 is whether it is an age related issue not a Mounjaro related one. My neighbour became violet towards his wife and was then diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, prior to that she said he had never had a temper.

There are strict age limits on mounjaro, and 75 is the normal cut off, are you sure it’s not something else. As a bank statement will only say the amount and the pharmacy not what was purchased. If he’s seeing a doctor and a pharmacist monthly and is snappy and on a limited diet, reducing weight, I’d not immediately go to mounjaro.

There have apparently been lots of people wanting the new pills because it's easier to hide. I don't know this for a fact, but seen lots of articles about it.
