I’m still here, cracking on. I love this drug, it’s actually changed my whole life. I’ve still a way to go, 1.5 stone to my first goal and then I’ll reassess to where I want to be.

Im on 3.75mg but should probably think about moving up to 5mg as I’m making some dodgy decisions late afternoon with chocolate and biscuits. Still losing though so going to keep going until I’m not.

The only downside is I’m definitely losing hair. It’s giving my flashbacks to post partum hair loss

Hi @MrsO2b I’ve only ever taken MJ and don’t know anyone that has switched however I have seen a couple of threads on here about it if you have a search. I do however follow a lot of people on YouTube etc and this has come up. I know people have had success when they’ve switched and the only thing I would say is if you are currently on a higher dose of wegovy, they may suggest you start on a higher dose of MJ (e.g. 5mg or higher) but I would recommend you starting from the beginning at 2.5mg because it lets your body get used to it and gives you more wiggle room to increase in the future! (You can however accept the 5mg pen and do click counting to save a bit of money though)

Hi there. Thank you. They wouldn't let me start on the equivalent or a higher dose of MJ so I'm starting at the bottom. X

Boreded · 28/09/2026 15:31

Some really good updates from everyone here, getting very jealous of, and also super happy for, all you guys who are getting close to goal or to numbers way lower than me.

My fun for today is that I emptied out my wardrobe (first time I’ve done it properly in a decade) and found 4 pairs of 00s low rise combats (thank you River Island) and a pair of 00s low rise jeans. So when I lose enough weight to fit in them, I won’t be able to wear them because the overhang from the skin will be insane, but then after the surgery 🙌 happy days.

It has given me something to look forward to, even if it will be 5.5st and 1.5y from now 😂

Anyway, all of my holiday weight has gone, so three weeks of America eating has been paid for, and another 3lbs have come off since then. I’m now a smidge under 15 and a half stone, but started at 19st 4 so getting close to that 4 stone mark, and that will feel EPIC when I do get there

I wouldn’t worry about it too much, I’m still on the bottom dose and it works great. Though I do take it as much for the psychological benefits as anything else.

TeamsThemeTune · 25/09/2026 18:44

I've said it before, but I'll say it again - your chart is beautiful @PuppyKeep! Is it an app or did you build it yourself? Your losses are very consistent - I'm assuming you are very petite with that target weight?

@NettleTea your GP sounds like a dream!

Did my 3rd 3.5mg today - there's enough in my pen for 3.75mg next week so I'll give that a go and see what happens. (I've only just realised I can count the clicks left and wind the pen back again.) I've eked this pen out what with fannying about with clicks and missing while on holiday, so I will get 6 doses out of it. Stupidly stuck with 5mg for my next pen, so less room for manoeuvre but will definitely go for the 7.5mg next time.

I am very pleased to be able to drag things out of the wardrobe for work that I haven't worn for God knows how long, but I'm bored with weighing and tracking, and eating pretty much the same things on rotation. I don't think I have ever hit my protein target - 60g is the best I can do, but I've never been a big protein eater other than fish/seafood. I keep up with the calorie tracking, but haven't weighed today - will do it tomorrow probably, but I hop on the scales quickly most mornings while I'm cleaning my teeth and I think it's another STS week unless tonight's pasta dinner miraculously does the opposite of what I expect!

Thank you.

Yes I’m only 5ft0. Kinda sucks.

I’m still so jealous that I didn’t do this to begin with. It’s a great progress tracker for you and you can really see what you’ve achieved.

NettleTea · 05/10/2026 16:20

weigh in this morning, a day late, and down another 0.6kg. so that is 20.6kg in total so far. My Nutracheck asked me for a new target weight and Ive put my final one in, which is 57kg... Its a long way to go still, but feels good to be over half way

madeinthe80z · 11/10/2026 19:14

Hey everyone - let’s bring our thread back to life a bit with some updates etc!

I’m still on 5mg and will be for at least another 4 weeks. Using Pharmacy2u.

I have had a couple of indulgent holidays which have been followed by immediately getting back on track (never happened before MJ!) so whilst progress has slowed a bit with the ups and downs of that, I’m now on a one way ticket to try and lose another nice chunk before Christmas!

Starting weight - 13st8.5 (before MJ 15st4 and lost some on my own)
Starting BMI - 30
Current weight. - 11st8.5
Current BMI - 25.5

Recent NSV is I fit into some size 12 trousers from Asda. I still have some size 14 stuff that is snug and these are a pretty large fit but still!

Lastly, symptoms - I still really struggle with extreme tiredness and headaches in the days after jabbing. Anybody had the same and found any fixes? I’m going to try electrolytes this week around jab day to see if that helps….

would love to hear everyone else’s updates and get a chat going if anybody needs support xx

Hello strangers. Good to read your updates. Sorry not replying individually - must go to bed shortly.

I slipped out of the routine of jabs at the start of September. Once I’d missed a few days, I kind of forgot about the whole routine. Weighed in every now and again and decided to observe what happened. Not much for a month. Weight stable (still not under 25 BMI, but on the cusp) and eating habits stayed the same although I began to notice my protein intake gradually going up. Protein is the only thing I count and I did wonder if I was getting more protein intake because I was basically eating more. In the last fortnight, I found myself snacking more, feeling hungrier and having more sweet foods. Weight stayed within a 1kg window up and down (ie basically stable). But… without the MJ, I also had the return of my awful IBS nightly wind and stomach pain. My lymphodema started twinging. And I felt more sluggish. So yesterday I jabbed again with 2.5 from my 5mg pen (kept refrigerated). Been less snacky today, but bloody farts are here this evening. Sincerely praying they fuck off! I really think the anti-inflammatory aspect of the meds has been a brilliant match for my system. I do worry there might be some bad side effects in the longer run as it’s a relatively new medicine, but I think I will carry on. I’ll aim to dose so I lose a bit more weight so my BMI is comfortably in the middle of normal and then I might jab every couple of weeks for maintenance of all the good things I’ve got from this. Blimey, this has been a stream of consciousness. I am just thinking as I type. Thanks to anyone who is listening to my waffle…

mollio · 11/10/2026 22:36

Hi everyone , I am still trucking away . It’s v v slowly coming down . Like max 2 lbs a month now ( although that includes weekends away and longer periods of time away too ) . I am currently 9st 12 lbs , down from 12 stone at the start . I can’t believe it , suddenly none of my clothes fit and people have noticed . I plan to go down as close to 9 stone as I can and then allow a buffer up to 9st 7 if possible . I am 5ft 4 so this should be ok , but at 52 it won’t be easy . I am also now thinking and worrying about maintenance - I don’t know what to do for the best …… I done even know if there is a maintenance supplier in Ireland . There are way less suppliers than the UK I think . I have stockpiled 3x 5mg pens so far in the fridge in case I need to micro dose and over a period of time to titrate down before coming off … or should I plan to stay on it , despite the huge cost. I feel good generally , but find it hard to eat the first 3 days as am v nauseous usually . Anyway , another stream of consciousness !!!! Hope all well

this is interesting to see you noticed the effects of the lymphodema / inflammation when you stopped. I will be keen to know how long you find you can go between jabs. And if you can go lower with them? I know my therapist uses 1.25mg but Im unsure exactly how often she needs to do it

NettleTea · 11/10/2026 23:50

I actually took a slightly higher dose. 3.75. Just to see. I had noticed myself being a little snacky, but Ive done well to be on the 2.5s for 24 weeks now.

I am going to have to use the 12.5mg pen which I just got as my next one, as its short dated and the 2 x 10mgs in my stockpile are longer. Thank goodnerss for the monj site and its calculators....

@NettleTeaI’ve never thought about stockpiling - do you use offers or have you been doing it to collect the golden dose pens for more bang for your buck?
I just use offers / referral discounts and switch pharmacy as necessary.
youve done so well so long on 2.5! I am still happy on 5mg and hopefully still will be after the next pen but we shall see..

@molliohave you stayed with the same pharmacy for a while? From what I’ve read (honestly not too much about this yet) I think a lot of pharmacies will continue to prescribe if you stay above 22 BMI but I know from threads on here that there’s only a handful of pharmacies that will let you leave more than 4 weeks between ordering if you’re micro dosing for example. Might be worth a separate thread or asking if there’s any fellow Irish people in a similar position.

@KittensAndCupcakesyou’re doing great 👍 I think it doesn’t harm to have a little break / switch things up it’s only normal we get a bit fatigued with it all over time? the medication isn’t ‘that’ new, it’s been around for 25 years primarily used for diabetics in the beginning though until they realised it’s magic for weight loss! I understand your worries though, particularly with all the articles online that the papers love to run! There is likely still some effects we will hear about soon enough.

I'm experiencing something quite strange on 10 mg.

It's my second week of it and I have been far hungrier than at any other point since May. I've definitely overeaten on occasion, yet have lost four pounds, so not quite sure what is going on!

Hopefully it will settle down.

I just stayed with the same supplier in order to go up quickly through the dosages to get a more hefty pen - as that is cheaper per dose. I was / am with Bolt.. But now I have a prescription for a 12.5mg pen I can take that to a different supplier and get the next one, probably in a couple of months, from someone else. It gave me a bit of wriggle room if they wanted to drop me down a dose.

7238SM · 12/10/2026 12:24

I don't think I've ever actually provided my stats before. I work in metric so have googled the imperial

Mid May 110kg (17.3 stone) BMI 39.4
Currently 97kg (15.2 stone) BMI 34.8
Goal weight- anything within a healthy range.

I started with swift doctor, then lotus and last week used medicines market place. I've tended to use the same supplier twice because saving a few £'s isn't worth the faff of providing new videos/pics/ID etc etc every month.

I tend to order a new pen when I still have 1-2 doses in the current one. This has meant about a 6 week gap between orders, but so far, I've never had an issue. If they have a explanation box, I simply add that I've always ordered ahead of the current pen finishing. So the script date/label might say 12th Sep, but I actually didn't start using that pen until the 19th or 26th Sep.

Initially, each month I bought the next dose of pen and have done microdosing/clicks. I moved from 2.5mg- 5pm very slowly and again slowly from 5mg- 7.5mg. Currently using a 10mg pen, and been on 7.5mg for 2mths with no plans to increase this. I too wish I'd be aware of the avatar thing 😀

GeraldThePufferSponge · 12/10/2026 17:26

Do any of you use Med Express? Currently with Boots but I’d like to go up to 7.5mg and their price is just too high. However, I’m out when the post from Royal Mail comes - will they leave the parcel without a signature and will it be okay if I pop it in the fridge about 5pm when I get in?

@NettleTea what did you get deleted 😂

I’ve been really quiet on here too, sorry guys. Glad everyone seems to be doing a good job still, and that a few names we hadn’t seen in a while are back and have also done well.

As for me:
SW - 270lb (19st 4)
CW - 211.6lb (15st 1.6)
GW - 168lb (12st)
Stretch GW - 140lb (10st)

Total loss is 58.4lbs (over 4st) and my BMI is down to 34.2…still a loooooong way to go, but the change is mental. I’ll update a couple of pics

TeamsThemeTune · 12/10/2026 20:55

Wow @Boreded - what a transformation!

I've stayed the same this week, still that same bloody 1lb away from 10st, but it was my birthday and I decided to not track for 3 days as I went out for brunch and dinner twice, and had proper toast and butter, curry and naan, beer, and a few glasses of wine (not all in the same meal!) It was absolutely worth every calorie - if you can't eat nice food and have nice drinks on your birthday, when can you? Back on the wagon from today though.

I went up to 4mg on Saturday (was on 3.5 for 2 weeks then 3.75 as that was what was left in the old pen). I was finding that I was snacking a little bit in the evenings for the first time in months, nothing mad, but just taking me 100-200 cals over. It's absolutely shocking the very fine line between deficit and maintenance, and my losses have slowed right down so I'm hoping for a bit of a boost.

@GeraldThePufferSponge apologies if this seems obvious, but have you looked at prices on Monj.co.uk? Boots is massively expensive, there are loads who are cheaper, but I guess it depends on who you have used before and whether you can get the new customer discounts. I've never used the same provider twice (I've just started my 5th pen I think).

madeinthe80z · 12/10/2026 22:35

@Borededwow well done, those pictures are amazing 👏 what dose are you on??

it’s funny all the talk of birthdays and holidays and breaks, not sure if anyone else is the same but the biggest difference for me with MJ is I can take a short break, indulge a bit more, but then I’m genuinely looking forward to getting back on the wagon, jabbing and picking right up where I left off. Where’s in the past it would have extended many more days or weeks (or not at all!) particularly if I’d had a massively strict run up to said event to get my weight as low as possible…
