It did seem worth leaving it to the tail end of the week for that.

Plus while recovering from racing at the weekend, I have no important runs planned, but my general energy is back up from earlier in the week.

Fingers crossed you’ll get none!

Ahh just did my first jab in my thigh. Literally felt nothing, the needle is so fine, I am quite worried nothing has gone in?! 😂

It is definitely not as bad as the gestational diabetic tests in pregnancy!

I often end up with accupuncture at sports massages and they're very fine. Those I notice more because they go into an already tender and sensitive muscle knot, and it's that I notice rather than the needles in their own right.

Hi all, just throwing in my update as I’ve been on for a week - 1mg MJ. I’ve lost 1.3kg! No major SE apart from fluctuating between minor constipation/diarrhoea (lush, TMI soz🤣) took a couple of days for suppression to kick in but it’s genuinely blown my mind. I’ve not had any crappy snacks/chocolate/biscuit all week which is amazing as I can’t explain how badly I ate before with stress from work etc. v happy!!

1mg MJ - did you do less then the starting dose of 2.5mg? I took my first dose last night and have a mouth dryer than the Sahara 😂I haven’t tried eating yet x

thepittfan · 03/07/2026 09:12

Yes. Am microdosing from a private clinic. Starting on 1mg x

Congratulations! It’s great, isn’t it? I remember having super low expectations given it’s such a low dose and then being blown away. It gradually builds in your system due to the half life so you’ll have an even better week next week too.

Shotsy is a good app to track how much you have in your system and your results etc.

It’s amazing! Yes, I’ve been using Shotsy and really enjoying it. Just done my second shot..,have a wedding this weekend so that will be interesting. Haven’t told anyone but my boyfriend, but my sister said she could see I’d lost weight in my face (maybe lower inflammation!) so that’s fun.

ConnieClue · 03/07/2026 10:54

I can definitely see a difference in my face too!

& also inject in my thigh & feel nothing. Still get nervous to do it every time though. 😁 no bruising either.

Wow I have read people saying 2.5mg did nothing for them! It’s amazing it’s working for you even in low doses.

Yep, it’s working really well. As beachforever said, it’s genuinely surprising!

That’s great! So far all I have noticed is a very dry mouth / weird taste all day, and needing to go for a wee a lot more than usual!!

I get a weird metallic taste in my mouth on my first day. I get maximum suppression on days 3-5.

I would say I don’t really feel bothered about eating, but that might just be psychological / placebo because I’m hyper aware of it!

AnotherPidgey · 03/07/2026 16:32

I didn't feel the need to finish lunch today which I do normally (school lunch, so reasonable portions). No urge to ward off hunger at breaktime. I've come in from work peckish but gone for a babybel rather than reaching for dark chocolate. I've had hunger but felt more pragmatic about rather than taking opportunties to satisfy it.

I'm hoping that long term that this can reset my habits back to being more sustainable.

AnotherPidgey · 04/07/2026 14:30

So far so good. My appetite is a bit calmer and the urge to pick has reduced. I've had a couple of meals where I've felt comfortably full and left a bit on the plate. I'm feeling hunger, but it feels more rational and like I CBA to go and get something to fill it.

I did parkrun this morning and my energy level was fine. I'd had a yoghurt before going and I felt fine running (despite not being my best time of month) and that was enough to get me to lunchtime.

This sounds similar to me today. I am having a general not that hungry / can’t be bothered feeling.

Today I’ve had a coffee and scrambled eggs on a thin bagel for breakfast, then another coffee and a few olives / pretzels in the middle of the day, I’m only just starting to feel hungry for dinner now…Unusual for me as I’d have usually had a big lunch with snacks throughout the day + the rest.

AnotherPidgey · 04/07/2026 21:24

Today's been:
Protein yoghurt
¾ thin crust pizza
A small Mosser Roth chocolate when pepping back up after a nap before doing some gardening.
Spaghetti bolognese with a bit of grated cheese, and I ate a fair bit less than usual before being comfortably filled.

DS wanted me to make popcorn for a film he was watching so I had a few kernals, and he also made me a small banana pancake.

It's not a bloggable day, and I really need to go food shopping for fresh food, but I have stopped much better than usual. I'm also at my hungriest time of the month when I tend to have low resistance to carbs. I've also done parkrun, mum-taxi and gardening so am on 15k steps/ +444 active calories.

It’s really strange isn’t it!! I’m still not sure whether it’s having a genuine effect or it’s placebo / psychosomatic.

Ooooh I feel this “is it a placebo?” So much! The first few days I absolutely wasn’t sure at all, and then the last couple of days - especially yday at a wedding - I realised I genuinely didn’t care for food. Very weird.

Proteinpudding · 06/07/2026 07:54

I'm 60.1kg this morning, after starting at 64kg in May. I was thinking I've plateaued and not lost anything in June, though after looking back at my numbers I think maybe one weight was an anomaly and I've lost about 1kg overall.
Still, nothing to write home about, but I'm going to persevere and keep on my current dose.

I don't think it's a true plateau, I think I just need to put a bit more effort in! Hope everyone else is doing ok!

OnTheTop · 06/07/2026 08:15

@Proteinpuddinginterested to read about where you’re at, thanks for sharing.

I did jab 12 yesterday (0.25 Wegovy). 5.8kg loss and BMI 23.3. I haven’t really lost anything for 3 weeks so I’m thinking I’m probably eating a bit more than I realise (no craving for sweets, crisps, chocolates though) mixed with hormonal water retention.

I go on holiday in just under 3 weeks so I’m thinking I’ll carry on until then, with a bit more effort for the next 2 weeks. Definitely don’t have as much suppression as I did, but it’s still helping. We went to a BBQ yesterday and while I enjoyed my lunch, I certainly didn’t overeat.

Proteinpudding · 06/07/2026 11:23

I've been tracking throughout, and I think I've been around 1500 rather than 1300 which would make sense for me as gradual weight loss or maintenance. Bit busy with work so probably slightly less active too. I don't think it would have been enough for me to realise there had been any difference if I hadn't been tracking it, it's only the odd sandwich instead of a salad, couple of biscuits here and there!

Kernowgirl183 · 06/07/2026 14:21

Hello! I've just signed up with Healand Clinic and my first lot of injections is due to arrive tomorrow.
My BMI is under 25, but since perimenopause hit with a vengeance last year I've put on about a stone, all around my middle. I'm only 5'1", so it really shows. I exercise a lot (including a lot of strength training) and eat very healthily (barring weekend wine, which I'm hoping I can curb), so I'm hoping this will give me the boost I need to get back to where I feel comfortable and also help with some peri symptoms (I'm on hrt).
I'd love to join this thread for a bit of support and to hear how everyone else is getting on. I've never injected myself before, so I'm feeling a bit nervous! Do most people inject into their thigh, or do you find somewhere else works better? Do the injections need to be kept in the fridge? Thanks!

Beachforever · 06/07/2026 14:26

Welcome @Kernowgirl183 ! I started with Healand too back in April and I remember being so nervous!

Yes, the pre-filled syringes need to be kept in the fridge. Be careful with them. I accidentally pushed down the plunger on one of them when putting it in the fridge and so lost most of a dose.

I have always grabbed a bit of flab on my belly and injected it in there. It needs to be at least 5 cm from your bellybutton.

I am completely needle phobic but it really isn’t as bad as I thought it would be.

Good luck and let us know how you got on!

Hello! Fellow Healander here 🤣 keep them in the fridge and I do my belly too. First one was nerve wracking and I thought I had to really jam it in but the needles are small and it only takes a small push to get it in. You can’t feel a thing! Good luck!
