@kljdslhs877 I'm only on 2.5 and my understanding as that these are the only ones routinely left with a golden/bonus dose in them, subject of course to faffing with the mechanism (ie so you break it and not the plunger) or using a syringe (which I have not tried, but other people here clearly have).

@Pamelaaaaarrr yeah absolutely

Amazing!

My clothes were getting snug in my original size so I'm just getting more comfortable again rather than the squished sausage feeling.

I'm begining to get a bit of waist slippage, but I have to buy for my thighs and bum anyway, so if things go a bit too lose, I'm probably better getting some waist clips to synch them in.

I'm just enjoying my clothes fitting, I can fasten my jeans AND sit down in them, and my tops don't get stuck on my comedy breasts!
It's autumn/winter though so easier to get away with clothes not being a great fit.
I'm hoping to buy new fitting clothes in spring.

Hi all
Re click counting / golden dose - how are people managing that with the limited needles that come with each pen? Is there somewhere to buy 5 or 10 extra ones - all the boxes on Amazon are for like 100 of the things.
I've lost 10lbs on my first pen so don't want to inject the full 2.5ml of my second one as I only have another 4 or 5lbs to lose.

Got to say, it's been pretty darn easy. Second the 'bogging' metalic taste, and also get quite constipated no matter how much water / fiber I can stuff down my neck, but otherwise it has been delightful!

I just bought a big box of needles on Amazon.
As for constipation, I put a big spoon of inulin powder in my tea in the morning which seems to do the trick.
If it doesn't I drink a bottle of lipton Iced peach tea, Im very intolerant to stevia which is the sweetener in it.

@VenusInfers I just asked Voy for some extra needles/swabs & they posted them out to me, no extra charge (but Voy overall are at the more expensive end of the different options). I have referral discounts btw (which does make them more worthwhile).

Pamelaaaaarrr · 28/09/2026 19:48

I’m four days into first dose now and not feeling much effects, hoping this will improve with second dose on Thursday. First time around two years ago, it was pretty instant. I do find I’m getting full a little quicker and can say no to things but I’m still rather hungry and I’d like that to quieten down!

ooh, that's worth a try, thanks.
Just don't want the waste of buying loads I don't need.

And BOOM! four extra needles are on the way - thanks @AxisofEvelKnievel🙌 !

AxisofEvelKnievel · 29/09/2026 11:27

@VenusInfers This is great news, excellent. It does seem some of the more expensive pharmacies do try to make it up by offering big referral discounts and little extras like spare needles, swabs/wipes, and bespoke medical advice.

For anyone else, PM me if you’re interested in discounts (but be aware they are short term only).

Iwanttorunagain · 30/09/2026 07:25

I’m 3 days into first jab, can’t say I’m feeling much at all really. Trying to focus on higher protein and smaller portions, but that’s feeling like a conscious decision rather than appetite suppression. I guess at least I’m not having any significant side effects! Feeling nervous as to whether there will be any impact when I step on the scales on Monday.

Oncemoreuntothebreachmother · 30/09/2026 15:51

Hi all, I'm looking to switch from medexpress, not much to lose, bmi now about 24 after 1 month on mounjaro 2.5

Does anyone know which pharmacies are likely to accept at this point and which don't? I loked at Farmeci, and read in the small print they wouldn't subscribe to under BMI 24 without conditions and would charge me £40 admin fee for applying!
Cheapest ones today..

Thanks so much all

AxisofEvelKnievel · 30/09/2026 15:54

@Oncemoreuntothebreachmother Voy took me with a BMI of 25.1 but they are notoriously expensive unfortunately. That said you have proof of a previous prescription which should stand you in good stead. PM me if you want a referral discount—that will at least give you another cheap month.

Oncemoreuntothebreachmother · 30/09/2026 16:03

Sorry should have mentioned I already have a prescription, just want to switch to get a cheaper deal so VOY probably not a goer for me. Med Express is really expensive too (and they messed me around quite a bit with initial consultations so I have no customer loyalty to them!)

AxisofEvelKnievel · 30/09/2026 17:32

Question for everyone on this thread: is another provider’s discount deal available to a person who already has a prescription, ie someone in @Oncemoreuntothebreachmother’s situation?

I don’t actually know & given I may well be in a similar situation in due course, I’d like to know.

Yes - I switched from Voy to Med Express using someone else’s discount code, if that’s what you mean.

I didn’t feel like much was happening although my husband said he noticed. I did my first jab Thursday, weighed myself Friday and today I was down 4lbs from then. I think a lot was bloat and fluid retention.

kljdslhs877 · 30/09/2026 19:54

I think sometimes the suppression is more subtle than you realise as well. I always have some chocolate on a Friday and Saturday, I buy a certain bar and halve it, I realised today I hadn’t eaten it for the last 2 weekends, just hadn’t crossed my mind. I’ve still be hungry for my main meals so it’s not like I thought I’d stopped eating if that makes sense

WLIcurious · 01/10/2026 08:39

@kljdslhs877 I've found the same kind of subtle but surprising changes. For example, if I am going out to the shops or into town to the library or something, before I would have a big panic about taking an apple or similar with me in case I got hungry. Now, I don't even think about it and if I do get hungry I am fine to wait until I get home instead of having a big mental battle about whether to be good and buy an apple or give in and have a chocolate bar.

I still eat pretty much the same portions at meals, and I've only not been able to finish my meal a couple of times, but I am not snacking out of boredom like I used to. My mind just seems to slide off thoughts of food rather than fixating on them.

VenusInfers · 01/10/2026 09:56

Agree with @WLIcurious - I eat meals that are mostly just a little smaller but have almost no interest in snacking. It’s amazing how quickly that makes a difference.

WLIcurious · 01/10/2026 13:32

@VenusInfers I am half hoping that being on WLIs will help me break the habit of turning to food when I am bored or stressed and then I won't need to keep taking them. But, I also think that maybe I do have a GLP-1 imbalance and taking a low dose of one of the drugs will be a long term thing.

LovelyLapin · 02/10/2026 08:29

Can I join as someone who is getting close to goal? I think I’ve got about 5lb to go. I’ll reevaluate when I get there!

Pamelaaaaarrr · 02/10/2026 12:02

Well first official weigh-in since dose 1 last week and I am down 5lb so happy with that. It was the same last time and I suspect it will now stabilise to 1-2lb a week which is fine as from this point I really only want to drop maybe 4lb more than maintain.

I successfully maintained for 20 months without Mounjaro (and was more than half a stone lighter than when I stopped) but recently I've been so busy and work stressed I've not being paying attention so was starting to creep up. I'm now back at the weight I was maintaining at for the past year but I'd like to go a bit lower, but not too much as my face looks tired!

I'm not really sure what to do past this point - I've always responded well to 2.5mg so don't know whether to stay at this or go up to 5mg. I guess I could order 5mg and then microdose to a lower dose.

Pamelaaaaarrr · 02/10/2026 19:38

Goodness me, took dose 2 last night and after dose 1 taking a few days to kick in, I’ve just struggled through a bowl of fries at the pub, couldn’t even manage half 😭 and all I’ve eaten is one slice of toast and a bag of Monster Munch today.

Was there for nearly 3 hours and only managed to get through one glass of wine!
