Hi all,

Ive bit the bullet and have ordered and been accepted to start mounjaro through Voy.

something I’ve been debating for a while but finally decided to try it. I had a baby last year and have managed the get back down to pre baby weight, but still have a bit extra to lose, I want to lose around 1.5/2st.

I regularly exercise through swimming a few times a week but diet is very up and down hence being at a standstill with my weight, so wanted the extra help to create some better relationships with food. I’ll be good all week and then ruin it in a few days with takeaways and snacks!

Nervous but excited!

Wanted to make this thread for anyone else starting their journey soon! Anyone else in the same boat?

Current weight: 12st 10 / 5ft5

I started on 3rd June (5ft1 and 12:7.2 pounds).

I dropped 8lbs in the first 2-3 weeks on the 2.5mg pen. I then went to 5mg for my second pen and lost a further 3lbs. Taking me to 11lbs loss. I have one dose left of my 2nd 5mg pen.

Then for 5-6 weeks I lost and gained the same pound, and was really disheartened.

It then occurred to me that during the heatwave I’d significantly dropped my steps by about 14k a day, I wasn’t hooping and was generally being more lethargic - yet was still eating the calories of an active person.

The last week, I’ve adjusted my calories down to the activity level below (JS calculator) - so a drop of around 200 calories a day - upped my fluids even further, and stepped my walking and hooping back up. I hit a new low this morning of 11:8 🙌, so only 0.8 pounds off hitting my stone. I’ll be sticking with 5mg next pen again, and keeping myself in check and tweaking as necessary.

Chiffchaff7 · 21/08/2026 06:40

Good morning all ❤️ Week 9 completed on 2.5mg and 3lb off again, taking me to 12st 5lb and a total of 2st 7lb lost. Less than a stone to my target weight and I’m thrilled. I feel like it’s happening so quickly - my body definitely feels like a super responder. I can’t ever imagine increasing my dose. Anyways, jab 10 this morning. Hope everyone is well and has a good day xx

Start date: 18.06.26
SW: 14st 12lb
BMI: 28.2 (additional weight related condition)
CW (week 9): 12st 5lb
Total lost : 2st 7lb
Current BMI: 23.5

TW : 11st 7lb / BMI: 21.8

Well done @Chiffchaff7 !

ElviraZoffany · 21/08/2026 11:09

Went to take my dose this morning and had a really bent needle, so replaced it and now my pen is constantly dripping without even priming. 😩

Awaiting a response from MedExpress as to what to do.

Oh no! you aree super unlucky with your pens :(

Sorry just having a good catch up as I haven’t posted my last 2 weigh in’s. It’s a very busy few weeks with prepping to go back to work in September and kiddies off. I have had a day London with my eldest today and we go away tomorrow too.

I have been doing Lucy Squad t’ai chi exercises on her YouTube channel. I really enjoy them. I can’t get to a gym for exercise because of DH working schedule and having the little ones at home. At least I can do that one when the kiddies are in bed.

Well done with all the losses.

@MissClarke86I have been using Morrisons pharmacy as got a good first deal pen then a discount for referring. Also my BMI was just below 30 so I had to choose a provider that prescribed with that BMI. However I have been comparing prices and will potentially switch providers.

Update with my last two weeks…
SW 80.15kg / 12.8st
W10 71.30kg/11.3st (-0.6lb)
W11 70.90kg/11.2st (0.8lb)
Total loss 1st 6.1lb
TW 9.7st

My weight loss has slowed significantly. I was getting intense side effects on 3.75mg for the first 3-4 weeks. I have just taken my 8th dose of 3.75mg. I am not getting the sickness and diarrhoea anymore but I do have an extreme aversion to food, some days I have to force myself to eat. I didn’t know whether to up to 5mg when I get back from my holiday as I didn’t want to up before going with the side effects I experienced when going up to 3.75mg. I am mainly thinking this because of the weight loss slowing significantly.

Shortsally42 · 23/08/2026 04:46

I've had the oddest week or so weight wise. I weigh daily and my weight went up by almost a kg. It's back down again now. Cause could have been related to having a slow digestion, the heat and not exercising enough...

Week 9 check in and I've lost nearly a stone which is a perfect rate for me. About 0.6kg a week.

Could increase my dose a little to 2.5mg. Definitely need more consistent exercise too!

justsaxy · 23/08/2026 11:38

Hello everyone! I haven’t been on this thread for a while so have a lot of catching up to do!

but I have managed to lose 5kilos since starting! Am very happy with that.

the main thing I came on to say was that I have had major problems pooping since I started the injections and would go once every 5-7 days. However DP has declared war on the situation (he doesn’t know about the WLI) and has been making me eat a bitter green salad every day (endives, spinach, radicchio, roquette etc) and for the last ten days I have been pooping almost every day (except a couple of days when I didn’t see him, so didn’t eat them). I am now convinced, and am determined to keep going…

Yet another pound! So 13.8.

Im starting to notice a difference in the fit of my clothes which is obviously a bonus.

Good luck for the rest of the week to rest of you losers.

This made me chuckle 😂 I am hoping to at least maintain as we are away for the week 🤞🏼. It’s been reassuring to hear others have still lost while away.

Hey everyone - not been on for a while! But looks like everyone is doing so well!

I am down 11lbs but and it’s a big but.

God the symptoms.

I did 8 weeks on 2.5 and towards the end the symptoms settled down nicely but I was ravenous by day 5.

So I upped to 5 on Friday.

I am so nauseous, fatigued because I’m struggling to eat anything I think!

Yesterday I ate a slice of toast and marmite, a protein shake, then had a piece of cod, some new potato’s and peas for dinner.

This morning I’ve been sick and the symptoms are worse than they’ve ever been - the thought of eating makes me want to 🤮

Seriously considering knocking it on the head I’m so dissappointed!

Any advice?

Cheesecake53 · 24/08/2026 08:57

@A671090 I am sorry you hat these symptoms! On other threats people describe similar experiences when increasing from 2.5 to 5. They often go lower to 3.75 (or lower) by counting the clicks on the pen. Maybe that is an option for you to try? Hope you feel better soon!

Goldpanther · 24/08/2026 11:49

So great to read about everyones progress!

I've been on it 3 months now and just hit 10kg weight loss today! I am so pleased, it is the lightest I have been in years.

I wanted to ask everyone though, has your brain caught up yet? I look in the mirror and still see the same body, even though I know I'm down a few dress sizes?

That sounds really rough. I'm sorry you're struggling. As Cheesecake53 suggested you could try dropping to 3.75. Alternatively, some people stick at a lower dose but jab every 5 days instead of 7, so that could be an option? Good luck whatever you decide to do.

childfreebychoice · 24/08/2026 16:42

I'm just checking in with a quick update. After last week's disappointing 1lb gain, I was really pleased to lose 3lb this week. I also had a colleague notice I've lost weight, which was a nice feeling!

There's nothing major that should get in my way this week so I'm hoping for another 2lb off by next Monday.

Start date: 15 June 2026
Starting weight: 18st 7lb
Current weight: 17st 4lb
Loss so far: 1 stone 3lb
Initial target weight: 12st 6lb

HelenDenver · 25/08/2026 09:09

Woo hoo, have gone through the 10kg lost milestone Grin

Goldpanther · 25/08/2026 09:30

Congratulations!

Cheesecake53 · 25/08/2026 09:42

That's brilliant @HelenDenver!!!!

ElviraZoffany · 25/08/2026 09:56

Well done @HelenDenver !

I’m super pissed off with MedExpress. No one has got in touch about the faulty pen in 5 days. I’ve just had to go through the help chat again to again request contact with a clinician. I’m just going to re-order and hope they refund me seeing as I’d only had one dose from that bloody pen. I’m now going to have side-effects again when I get to finally take it.

I was hoping to go up to 5 (3.75) for the next pen too, as I’m eating pretty normally at this point and weight loss has slowed. But I’ll have to click count a 2.5 dose as I’ll have had an unscheduled week off by the time it arrives.

JuniperRosy · 26/08/2026 14:14

Hi all, sorry I’ve not updated in a while.

I moved up to 5 mg a couple of weeks ago and that kickstarted my weight loss after a plateau and have lost 5 pounds since then. That brings my total loss to 1 stone 10 which also brings my BMI to overweight and rather than obese.

Has anyone had any issues with dizziness? I’ve been having dizzy spells when standing for the past couple of months and wondering if it’s a side effect. Went to the Drs yesterday and they’ve sent me off for a blood test (although not for 5 weeks!) to see if there’s anything else that could be causing it.

HelenDenver · 26/08/2026 14:27

@JuniperRosy thd blood test will tell you more but how is your iron intake and do you look pale?

separately I have felt dizzy on a couple of days when carbs have been well below the RDA

ETA brilliant work on the BMI!

Openmouthinsertfood · 26/08/2026 19:39

Hello everyone I hope you are all doing well? I haven't caught up on the thread yet. I take injection number 11 tomorrow. Must admit, I was a bit shocked last week, I didn't lose weight, In fact I put 3/4 of a pound on! 😯The only thing I did different was starting some multi vitamins, a-z with gut friendly bacteria. I thought that would be a good thing but I did read that your gut bacteria can influence your weight loss. Maybe my gut is adjusting? 😅I wasn't too bothered either as although I didn't lose anything, I look a bit slimmer (Must measure myself. ). As long as I don't put on again, I'll be happy (Weight day on Sunday.). I also didn't do much exercise last week so have changed that this week so far.
Hope you're all doing ok. The hot weather is back in the south. It's supposed to rain tomorrow and be a bit cooler temperature wise but the lowest humidity is going to be 77%!

Chiffchaff7 · 28/08/2026 06:59

Good morning all ❤️ Week 10 completed on 2.5mg and another 3lb off, that seems to be my standard loss! Now at 12st 2lb and a total of 2st 9lb lost. I can’t believe it! The prospect of being in the 11 stone bracket is surreal! As I get closer to target I’m considering jabbing every 10 days to help me maintain my weight. I’m anxious at the thought of stopping altogether. I’ll do some research and see what works for people. Anyways, jab 11 this morning. Hope everyone is well and has a good day xx

AplineDaisies · 29/08/2026 00:22

Well done @Chiffchaff7 - great result!
Are you still feeling suppression at 2.5mg?

My last 3 weeks or so haven't been great. I'm not feeling hardly any suppression. I'm going to 3.75mg of a 5mg pen. Has anyone else gone on to do that?

Chiffchaff7 · 29/08/2026 07:22

@AplineDaisies Good morning, yes I still have massive suppression. I work hard to hit my calorie, protein and fibre goals. For me personally I would never consider increasing my dose but I understand that we all respond differently.
