That's great @MrTiddlesTheCat it is the drug that keeps on giving!

Morning all! Another 1lb lost this week.

SW: 144kg
CW:83.5kg

Closer and closer to goal.

Two years ago, I went to a BBQ in 32 degree heat and wore jeans and a cardigan - yes a CARDIGAN. I was absolutely boiling but felt so fat and uncomfortable.

I've bought myself some nice skirts and shorts and sleevless tops, and really looking forward to the first summer where I don't have to pretend I "don't feel the heat". Onwards and downwards losers! 😄

Morning all
Moods are up and down like a bleeding yo yo
I swear to god this can't be normal
Not the meds ..as I'm always like this .
As mad as it sounds I'm wondering if its the change in temperature effecting me .
Weight still 15.10 ..no sodding movement
But ..I'm reframing it in my head ..as it's helping my body re just to a new set point ..and then in a bit I'm going to have another good stab at it .
Things at home are tricky for another 3 weeks..then I'm going to make a big effort exercise.
New pen is safely in the fridge

2lb off and I am now just obese. Not morbidly obese or super obese or whatever. Just regular old obese! Overweight, I’m coming for you next.

TheZingyFish · Yesterday 12:50

Wanted to share a couple of photos, when did I get so brave???
First one is from the start of my journey in April last year, the second is from this week. I’ve felt for so long that I was still huge and that the changes weren’t noticeable until I went to the bathroom at work this week so had to take a picture. I then went back to my first picture that I used to sign up MJ just over a year ago and I was shocked.

To be honest the new picture isn’t as flattering as it could be as my trousers are a size too huge and being kept up by a belt but I was shocked. I think the message is to look back at how far you’ve come, my weight loss has slowed from the early days but I think my body is changing more. The first picture is a size 28, I’m now a size 20/22. Still a way to go but this has really helped.

Sorry I couldn’t work out how to show the pictures properly so ended up doing a screenshot of them side by side.

A better link.

GLP-1 drugs may result in better outcomes for cancer patients, study claims | The Independent https://share.google/GM8r2LhoeTRURh9kf

Thanks for sharing this. I was diagnosed with cancer earlier this week and whilst mine isn't one of the ones in the study this still gives me hope.

Billybingbong · Yesterday 14:05

So today is usual weigh day, but because it was delayed last week because I was away, I am leaving it a couple of days. I've struggled since I got back, so am not expecting much of a loss anyway.

My weight isn't moving very much at the moment, but my shape is constantly changing. I'm now comfortably in a size 14 top and 16 bottom. Ive lost 12" from my bust, 17" from my waist and 16" from my hips. My BMI has gone from 56 to 35. I obviously want (and need!) to lose more, probably another 3-4st, but i can honestly say if I never lost another ounce, I would be ok with that. I am the smallest I have ever been in my adult life, and it feels good. I don't think I actually realised how unhappy I was, and am sad for all those wasted years, but very much excited to be finally living, not just existing.

Billybingbong · Yesterday 14:19

@Janie934 Really sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I hope your treatment journey is kind to you, and you're soon out the other side 💐

Springflowers2 · Yesterday 14:21

@Janie934 .oh no ,I'm so sorry,I hope it is tackled quickly and sent packing x

I hit that a few weeks ago - it's the best feeling, so well done on getting there :)

PearlsTeapot · Yesterday 16:29

WOW @TheZingyFish where have your giant norks gone! You look like a different person, I'm really happy for you. Hurrah for a year.

@Janie934 I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope your treatment goes well and who knows, more info about gLP1s comes out every day.

TragicMuse · Yesterday 16:31

Looking brilliant @TheZingyFish what progress!

TragicMuse · Yesterday 16:32

Very best of wishes @Janie934 that must be a huge shock. I hope your treatment is manageable.

PearlsTeapot · Yesterday 16:34

I've hit my 1 year! And lost 4 stone 4lb, taking me to BMI 40.4.

With my previous just under 3 stone that leaves me at 15.3 stone.

My only regret is not starting sooner. I do feel jealous of those who've lost 7/8 stone in a year but I was already in a calorie deficit heavy dieting so I guess that's why, plus, I did the first 6 weeks on 1.25 twice, after I stopped taking it for a month when it made me really ill. So I don't think 4 stone is too bad and frankly I am thrilled with it.

TheZingyFish · Yesterday 16:43

@PearlsTeapot I still have my giant norks, but they seem more contained now! 😂

You have done amazingly well with all you’ve faced this year, your journey is truly inspirational. Most people would have given up with half of what you’ve faced.

EducatingEater · Yesterday 17:27

Sending you lots of love and support @Janie934 . We are here for you whenever you need us <3

Well done @PearlsTeapot , with everything that has happened, anything is a bonus and to think how far you have come is a reflection of that!

Good luck @Billybingbong ! Well done @TheZingyFish ! What a difference <3

Billybingbong · Yesterday 18:02

@PearlsTeapot I think most people would struggle to lose 4lb with everything else you've got going on, so to actually lose 4st is bloody brilliant. You should be mighty proud of yourself, you're doing amazingly x

Thanks for sharing this. I was diagnosed with cancer earlier this week and whilst mine isn't one of the ones in the study this still gives me hope.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you have a reassuring treatment plan. I was diagnosed with hormone positive breast cancer last year and the terror of the first few weeks of not knowing what would happen was worse than the treatment itself.

Castlebark · Today 00:52

Congratulations @TheZingyFish, the difference in those pictures is amazing!

I am happy to report that, 14 weeks in, I've finally gone down a size in jeans! However this means my denim shorts from last summer no longer fit. I'm going away tomorrow with the kids for half-term, so really should've tried them on earlier! I'll get away with my summer dresses and tops, but the jeans shorts just look silly as they're proper baggy. Nice problem to have, but bad timing with the heatwave!

RenegadeKeeblerElf · Today 07:30

Morning all. Weigh in day for me, and a badly timed binge last night has given me a 0.5kg gain - annoying but it will come off again soon enough. It has proven to me though that I am right in going up a dose so I'm glad I took 6.25mg last night. I'll give it a few weeks in that and see how I go, I'm open to moving up to 7.5mg if needed but hoping not to have to for cost reasons (I'm going to keep ordering 5mg but use my stash to take extra).
