Placemarking.

Oh @PearlsTeapot, sending you so much love and empathy - you are doing brilliantly. Glad the 5mg is helping - the pre MJ you would probably have just eaten everything in sight wouldn't she, and then drowned in self-loathing? You're not doing that, you're doing the very best you can. I saw that @Springflowers2 suggested some kind of exercise device - I have a walking pad, it was £60 and got me through winter when I was too scared to walk on ice or snow. But I'd guess there might be insurance issues with the place you're staying and maybe the wouldn't be keen. Try not to be too hard on yourself - focus on your mental health and getting better, and getting home. It must feel so disheartening, but I repeat - you are doing brilliantly!

Morning all! Still on 2.5mg after my restart. My prescriber was happy for me to drop down, so the good news is my pens now cost £133 instead of £270! Suppression is okay, though second time around it doesn't seem to have affected my appetite for alcohol - it had a very strong effect on that first time around, but hey ho, such is life. At least the binge eating has stopped, so that is a massive blessing. Lost 2lb this week after the initial bigger drop when I restarted - frustrating to have to now claw my way back down but by bit, but at least I feel like that's a possibility, like there's some hope again. Hope you're all doing well.

SW: 307lbs
New SW: 272lbs
CW: 259lbs

This is fantastic news, for you obviously but also for all us who live in fear of it stopping working. It's so reassuring to see that restarting like you've done actually works.

Well done.

It's been quite the journey - and one of the things I love about this thread is we have all had such different experiences, and by sharing them we get to learn, be encouraged and not give up on ourselves. I reckon we know more about long-term Mounjaro usage than the drug companies!

I need help. I am struggling so badly at the moment.

my SW was 23st 3lbs in Feb 2025 and I got down to 17st 9lb but I’m really really struggling.

I take 15mg of MJ but due to serious medical conditions, I cannot do much exercise.

The local pools all have steps down into the water which I cannot do and I do not want to go through what I consider is a personal humiliation of me using the hoist.

I need a serious talking too, to pull myself together and get my focus back on losing more weight so I can have 2 operations that I desperately need.

If anyone has any advice about things that work for them that I can adopt, I would be very grateful.

Hey @GrannyDooun we started at a similar time (Jan 2025 for me).
my SW 21 st 7lbs
CW 14st 9lbs
Please don’t minimise your achievements despite other conditions. You have lost a whopping 5 stone 9lbs!

Any exercise you do is great.
If you look back at any of my posts this time last year, I couldn’t walk without getting out of breath and never thought I could run. Well I have done CT5K and now run for over 30mins 3 times a week. I am a million miles away from the person I was despite still battling skin cancer and breathing problems… don’t underestimate yourself, there will be something you can do and progress.

As for pool exercises- is there one near you with a beach style front entrance or a disabled session where others will use the hoist too?
Have you looked at the NHS fitness studio (free exercise videos for people with different health conditions).

Do you have an activity monitor, even just starting by moving more is great but you need to know how much you move now and build on it.

You can do this. You have come so far already!

Reginaphalangeeeee · 12/05/2026 17:27

Hey great to have a new thread!
last 3-4 weeks been a great success with me. Weight from 96.2kg dropped to 93.2kg. So pleased with my woosh consistent lost.
My BMI still 31 but I think I need to loose another 4kg to get out of obese category.
Expecting a plateaux again soon but cheerful while scales are moving. Also achieving well with running. Sure I would be faster if lighter though!

Anyone tried Purition supplementation?
order a tester as they do a vegan option and thought could be good for breakfast.

Newmummy343 · 12/05/2026 19:40

Hi, sorry I keep changing my username im between 2 accounts. I've really been struggling the last 2 weeks and I know its because im going on holiday this weekend. I hate that im like this. I know im someone that will need to be on mj for life.

I was down to low 13's currently up at 13.8. Trying hard now to get a couple of pounds off before I leave at the weekend. I need to up my dose as well. Currently at 10mg and its not doing enough for me. When I come back i'm going to up it at 12.5mg as I want this final 3 stone off. Hope everyone is getting on okay

TragicMuse · 13/05/2026 15:49

Duplicated from old thread…

Good god my body is pissing me off!

I have been in calorie deficit for ages anbd definitely all the past weeks and yet seem to be gaining weight. It’s annoying and against the laws of physics. I’m hoping it’s water retention or recomposition but I could really do without it.

RAGE RAGE.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 13/05/2026 16:47

0.6 kg loss for me this week. I'm a bit disappointed if I'm honest. I've stuck to my diet plan like glue, so it should have been more. But more importantly I bought some dried strawberries and had a few with some cottage cheese. Cue massive allergic reaction to the sulphur dioxide used to preserve their colour. The only thing that got me through the last 3 days of cramping was the thought of how much I'd lose seeing as everything I ate was passing through me at the speed of light.

Oh well. At least I earnt another cream egg.

SW: 135 kg
CW: 111.8 kg
Total loss: 23.2 kg

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 13/05/2026 17:36

@MrTiddlesTheCat the rate at which you lose weight always slows down.
0.6kg is very good. It's over 1lb.
That is perfectly acceptable.

I'm losing 2lb a month now. Mind you, I'm almost at my goal and I've been doing this for 28 months.

I’m going out this evening with friends I haven’t seen since Christmas. In a totally vain way I want to wear something that makes me look as thin as possible!

Torn between casual jeans and top or lovely linen dress!

Choices choices 😹 have a wonderful time

Theringcycle · 13/05/2026 22:56

Hi everyone- found you! I’m definitely experiencing the thing when your clothes are looser / fit better but the scales haven’t caught up 🤷🏽‍♀️ I check my weight every few days but only record weight once a pen so once a month, so I’m about halfway through this month and not much has changed on the scales 🤷🏽‍♀️ just need to keep on keeping on, I know.

Ketra · 14/05/2026 08:15

So I've been struggling a little over the last few weeks as I was losing a lot less than I usually do (albeit still losing a few ounces a week) and was ill. Really wanted to just relax my eating whilst I was ill but stuck to my calorie deficit even though the weight wasn't coming off..... well, guess my theory that being ill makes my body hold onto weight was right as today I had a massive 6lb loss which brings me into class 1 obesity - no more moderately obese or morbidly obese, just obese :)

MCR24 · 14/05/2026 08:26

Weigh in day today, my last weigh in that I recorded was 2nd April, I've finally had some movement and lost 1.5kg. not Ideal that it's taken so long but I've had time away so think there's been some water retention, also hormones and a lot going on in general.

SW: 142.8kg / 22 stone, 6 lb and 13.1 oz
CW: 63.2kg / 9 stone, 13 lb and 5.3 oz sneaking into the 9s!!! Madness!
Total loss: 79.6kg / 12 stone, 7 lb and 7.8 oz
To go: 3.2kg / 7 lb and 0.9 oz. At recent rates half a stone will take forever!

52soon · 14/05/2026 12:38

NSV I have collar bones! Another 1lb down today so 13st10lb BMI still 36, I wish I was taller but I don’t think I’ll be growing anytime soon 😂 I joined a walking group this week, walk your way to 5K meet twice a week building up time each week for 6 weeks then complete a park run 5K but walking. It is very sedate but I think the structure will do me good it comes with a 10 week gym membership once you have completed the course all for £20.

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 14/05/2026 14:01

Some NSVs here today too - I had a great run this morning, and got a personal record for 1 mile, I'm on 150 days of meeting my step goal and exercising every day (although a few of those days the exercise was only a walk), and I just picked up some new jeans that I ordered on Vinted - they are the same style as my old ones but two sizes smaller (16 rather than 20) and they fit beautifully!

Springflowers2 · 14/05/2026 16:11

So can I ask some advice
Been on chat gtp .and it suggested I go down to 10 mg of monjroro and then 7 mg ect ect ..to start weight loss ..it's saying it will stop me being in a stall .
As I have 3 stone to loose and It will trick my body in to thinking the famine is over ..as weight loss is a stone since January.
I don't know if I've explained it very well.
But I'm paying a lot of money on 15 mg to get a few pounds a month of
Does that make sense

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 14/05/2026 17:00

@Springflowers2 are you actually in a complete stall, or are you losing a small amount of weight?

OP posts:
TragicMuse · 14/05/2026 17:09

I’m finding that after 3 weeks or so 12.5mg is not as effective as previous 10mg was for as long. I’m thinking I might drop back to 10mg every 5 days again…

SilenceInside · 14/05/2026 17:10

@Springflowers2 I think that I would ask ChatGPT to provide evidence and sources for why that’s a good idea, to see if has based that advice on good quality resources or from general non-expert chat.

I can sort of see the point in having a complete break from Mounjaro until it’s all out of your system for a while and then restarting. The risk there is regaining a lot whilst waiting for the Mounjaro to leave your system, and whether you’d eventually end up at a lower weight than if you’d just carried on.

Titrating down doesn’t seem like it would help much. And your body isn’t in “starvation mode” or “famine mode”, that’s not really a real concept.

I'm not sure ..but it's a stone since January and every now and again I drop a pound

Chat gtp told me not to do a break of a month and then a reset ..it said it would take me 5 months to get back to 15 mg and I could put a lot of weight on in that time .
That's what I thought..it's not a real concept.. because I asked it how do people become anorexic then ..why don't their bodies hang on to fat like it's telling me mine is

Springflowers2 · 14/05/2026 17:27

To be honest I feel really stuck
I didn't have a plan in place when I started monjroro
I didn't really expect to loose weight
But everything I'm reading suggests I'm going to have to stay on this medication for life ..or put the weight back on .
Chat gtp said my body will be fighting to get back to my highest weight and even though I'm not loosing much on monjroro, the medication is stopping me putting weight on.
But I'm paying £300 a month to just loose a pound or two a month ..
I feel trapped and not sure what to do.
I need to loose 3 stone to get to a normal BMI ,or one stone to get to overweight.
My BMI is currently 31 ..was 54 when I started

Springflowers2 · 14/05/2026 17:32

Right now is a bad time to be making any decisions..as lots going on at home ..so I'm going to order my next 15 mg pen as normal.
But I really can't keep paying out £300 a month to just loose the odd pound each month .
If I can speed weight loosing up ABIT ,I could justify the cost for a few more months ,if it gets me to a normal BMI..
