Well done you too @MrsKurz
progress is progress no matter how slow
The scales are going in the right direction

Given that you’ve only just increased dosage you may find that helps increase losses

dodgeThePot · 04/07/2026 14:17

@plsbekinddelicate
i was guilty of boredom / stress eating but think WLI is helping with that. Although it’s no magic potion to drop weight and you still have to focus on eating the best foods for nutrition and to satisfy hunger they do seem to act on making those so called “food noises” and mindless snacking less noticeable.
All I can say is I signed up giving myself 6 months maximum to see if they work for me which in a steady weight loss way they are.
7 weeks in and 13lb loss
With only one week so far of no loss and weight stayed the same.

@Learningdutch
why might you change onto tablets if you don’t mind me asking ?

I hope you don’t mind me jumping on this thread, I’ve just ordered my first Wegovy pen. I’m not sure it’s going to do much, I don’t eat because I’m hungry I eat when I’m stressed or bored, does anyone have any experience can offer any reassurance?

That's exactly what wegovy is for. It switches off the "food noise"

MrsO2b · 04/07/2026 15:00

Well done everyone.

I've just had to take a week off. I had taken my 3rd jab of .5 with little or no side effects. Then the diarrhoea and stomach cramps started - REALLY bad. It went on for days, day and night, and nothing helped it. Bolt advised me to miss this week's jab to let my system settle, then go back down to .25 for a while. My system obviously wasn't ready for the increase.

Everything's settled back down now, so I'll be taking my next .25 on my usual jab day, which is Monday. This would have been week 8, and I've lost 10lbs altogether. Haven't weighed this week and will pick it back up when I'm back on track next week.
Keep up the good work everyone! X

dodgeThePot · 04/07/2026 16:18

@MrsO2b
sorry to hear of your awful side effects
hope you have a much better week ahead

@Learningdutch

I thought it would be easier to take on holiday and when away from home and or fridge. Easier to keep "secret". Also no sharps and pens to dispose of.
Where can these be taken?

dodgeThePot · 06/07/2026 20:06

@Learningdutch
all good reasons and positives for the tablets.
I haven’t yet looked into the tablet usage very much. Apart from hearing they are best taken at a regular time and with a certain amount of water and on an empty stomach.

i didnt think I could be quite as rigid with the tablet routine myself and as much as it still feels slightly weird injecting I’m getting less bothered about it as time goes on.

Im saving my old empty Wegovy pens as there is a recycling / return method to the manufacturer
Needles into the sharpes container that came with my first order but I’m yet to search out how easy their disposal is.

MrsKurz · 06/07/2026 20:18

If I remember correctly you can take sharps containers to a pharmacy, but maybe worth phoning them first to see if they will accept them.

im also curious about the tablets but more for the maintenance phase. They seem a bit less flexible than the injection with them being same time every day plus empty stomach etc, I find the injection very flexible.

im away this week with buffet meals for every meal… trying to make good choices but will be curious the effect on my weight as I can’t weigh until Saturday. I was 75.95 before we left, my lowest weight yet! Just under 16kg to go…

Proteinpudding · 07/07/2026 08:15

I have a sharps bin, but a horrible feeling i'll have no option other than wrapping it and putting it in household waste. In my area no local pharmacies will take them, and the council offer a service for sharps bins but only if you have a prescription from the community nursing team. I'd be happy to pay for disposal but I haven't found any option so far.

weekly progress update from me
8th 0.25g dose taken yesterday

Sw 12st 7lb
Cw 11st 8.5lb
Gw 11st 7lb (though I’m intending to continue onto 11st ish)

Have found this week I’m caving into temptation nibbling in between meals or skipping meals while snacking more. The hot weather has made me lazy to meal prep properly for more filling nutritious meals. Have had more bread carbs ice lollies and biscuits which I’d really cut out in the first few weeks.
No side effects and no constipation issues this week.

so I’ve ordered Month 3 pen and increased to 0.5mg
Changed provider again for discounted first order
This time I’ve ordered from Bolt Pharmacy
So far I’ve paid
Month 1 0.25mg Med Exp £53.94
Month 2 0.25mg Farmeci £57.51
Month 3 0.5mg Bolt £69.00

Hope everyone has a good weekend
Keep cool 😎

You could have used my Bolt discount code.....

dodgeThePot · 11/07/2026 17:47

@MrsO2b
oh nooooo!
thanks
but I wasn’t aware of their referral codes
but as soon as I’d placed the order they sent me my referral codes
its a pain keep swapping suppliers just to get cheapest prices but needs must.

How’s your weight journey week going ?

MerryDeer · 15/07/2026 18:12

Does anyone have a discount code for any provider other than SheMed? Looking to switch this month…

I have a £50 off code for MedExpress, valid if your order is over £99

MrsKurz · 16/07/2026 17:56

Hi all, just taken my 3rd 0.75mg dose and i'm pretty happy with the effects, I'm not thinking about food that much between meals, still getting hungry but feeling full after a meal. I'll probably stick with this dose a bit longer. Also weight loss has picked up a bit:

SW: 81.9kg
CW: 75.3kg
GW: 60kg

Still a long way to go!

dodgeThePot · 16/07/2026 19:32

@MrsKurz
good loss for you this week …well done

I’ll be moving up a dose tommorrow to 0.5mg
think it’s needed as I’ve made less heathy choices this week
I’ll update when I weigh in!

PortrushJenny · 19/07/2026 08:36

💛

FeelTheBurn · 19/07/2026 08:54

Hi All, I started beginning of May.

SW 82.5kg
CW 73kg
GW 63kg

just finished a month at 0.5mg (before that 0.25mg was working). Wegovy seems to suit me quite well the one thing I do have to be careful of is that I’ve lost my thirst. Some nausea around day one day to after jab but Voy send me anti-sickness tablets when I ask for them.

I track with my Fitness Pal but it’s quite depressing looking back and seeing that this CW is the weight that I first thought I was too heavy at 🤦‍♀️ I put the yo-yoing down to perimenopause. It is,however, very encouraging to see your success stories. I’m not sure what the plan is when I reach GW so it will be interesting to see what you all do.

I haven’t considered shopping around before, but might try some of these codes. I’ll post mine below.

Voy is giving £60 off to new users — here's my link if you want to try it. If you don't lose at least 10% of your body weight in 6 months, they will refund you!

@FeelTheBurn
You’re making good progress
well done

dodgeThePot · 19/07/2026 10:47

Week 9 progress
Have just moved up to first dose of 0.5mg taken yesterday
not feeling hungry this morning but need a little brunch before work so had a slice of rye toast with half avocado. Normally I’d double that portion especially on a work day.

current update
age 57
height 5ft 7.5
Sw 12st 7lb
Cw 11st 6lb
so a week loss of around 2lb
have hit my first target weight of 11st 7lb now continuing for GW 11st.

felt I needed the dose increase as I was biscuit dipping with my cuppa and making less healthy choices the last couple of weeks

MrsKurz · 21/07/2026 09:23

Is anyone else finding their weight loss super not linear? Like I know linear is not realistic in terms of every week being the same, but I seem to have a little loss... then plateau for a week or two, then another little loss, then gain a bit, plateau, loss etc...

I find it quite disheartening that it's quite inconsistent, and it's definitely slower than I'd hoped. I have another appointment with my doctor this Friday and I think it's time to move up the dose again as like @dodgeThePot I've found myself slipping into some worse habits.

However, I'm finally getting back to the gym 2-3 times a week and being much more active!

Learningdutch · 21/07/2026 11:11

I've decided to stick with the jabs rather than move to tablets. Have just finished 3rd pen and decided to stick at .5 though I am finding some food noise/bad habits creeping back. Am wondering whether to inject every 6 days rather than 7. Will still be cheaper than moving up a dose. Has any tried this?
