Have done it. Ordered my first 0.25 pen of Wegovy. Current weight 80.2kg and 165 com tall. Want to be more like 70kg. Thanks to whoever posted a 25% off code for Zava.

anyone else joining me as a May 2026 Wegovy start?

@Learningdutch is there a reason you'd stayed on 0.25 for two months if you're not feeling an effect? Although it does work for some people it's only meant to be a starter dose to get your body used to it. I hope you have more success with the next one.

I'm white knuckling a little at the minute. I messed up my dosing schedule and I'm trying to go a bit longer so I can get back to dosing Sunday or Monday. It dont want to have high supression on a weekend because my weekends are a lot more active and it's affected my energy levels too much. The heat is helping me though as salad and fruit is more appealing then usual!

I'm not sure whether I'm continuing either. I should have taken the last jab out of the 0.5 this morning and just can't face it. Yes I am losing weight, but only because I feel constantly nauseous and full of acid.

I feel you. I'm 8 weeks in but only 8lbs down. With the tiny amount I'm able to eat I should have lost at least a stone by now!. I actually gained a pound this week...go figure. I'm not sure this stuffs worth the money.
Saying that, I tried mounjaro last year. Side effects were horrendous - almost constant headache, heartburn, sickness, muscle pains, and diarrhoea so bad I had to have a week off work with it. I gave up after the first pen. Weight loss? With all that diarrhoea and sickness? 3 bloody pounds!

@Proteinpudding I had a 2 week holiday abroad in between my first 2 pens so didn't want to increase dose after the gap.

dodgeThePot · 25/06/2026 10:00

Sorry to hear that a few of you are struggling with side effects and little to no progress weight loss.
I have no advice as I’m only in my 5th week and stayed on starter dose for month 2.
My progress is slow but that’s fine for me as I wanted to keep up my nutrition and not rush the process.
I had given myself a 6month window to make changes to my eating habits and quantities to hopefully lose the excess 20lbs.

Hope someone has some advice that will help those struggling

Proteinpudding · 25/06/2026 11:06

@Learningdutch ah that makes sense. Hope you have a better result on your next pen

MrsKurz · 25/06/2026 13:37

Sorry to hear it's not going as expected for some. I wouldn't throw in the towel yet @Learningdutch if you're still on 0.25mg as that's such a tiny starting dose, It's normal not to feel much on it.

I've just taken my last 0.5mg this morning, and will move up to .75mg next week as per my doctors instructions. She would prefer to ramp up more slowly, so I'm click counting out of a 1mg pen. Seem to have broken through my 2 week plateau and am down a bit again.

SW: 81.9kg
CW: 76.8kg
GW: 60kg

I'm generally losing around .5-1kg per week (other than my 2 week plateau). And I've gotten back to the gym which I'm sure is helping everything.

dodgeThePot · 27/06/2026 11:16

@MrsKurz
well done on your progress this week

my update this week
week 6
0.25mg dose yesterday
SW 12st 7lb
CW 11st 9.5lb
1.5lb week loss

The heat this week has definitely curbed my appetite together with just not wanting to cook very much. Have eaten much lighter meals and sticking with very little snacking in between which is a major plus for me. On my days off I can easily skip breakfast or stretch out an evening fast until midday thus reducing calorie intake.
Together with major sweating it out this week has helped with a small weight loss

MrsKurz · 27/06/2026 15:39

@dodgeThePot well done, I definitely feel you on reduced appetite in this heat, will be interesting if it changes next week after the heat returns to “normal” a bit.

Hello everyone I am wondering if I can Join belatedly. I started on 13th May and have lost 6.2 kg so far on the lowest dosage. However for the last week I have stayed the same. I did have a family wedding last weekend where I was drinking and it was such a whirlwind it was hard to stay really aware and in tune with my hunger cues. I am hoping it is a blip but not sure how long I can stay on the lowest dosage for to be honest.

polkadotelephant · 28/06/2026 13:33

this week I gained weight. 😫

im so sick of this. I’m constantly nauseous that I don’t enjoy anything I put in my mouth unless it is basically pure sugar. I’m not drinking alcohol, no chocolate, no big meals.

My daily intake is basically fruit and plain yogurt, salad and meat and vegetables. I have a few sweets when I leave work as I feel sick and it takes the edge of the nausea. I’m not pooing despite senna tablets, prune juice and plenty of water. I want to give up.

It might be because you’re constipated! Heat also makes our bodies retain more water. Don’t forget to allow for hormonal changes in your body that can cause natural weight fluctuations throughout the month too! Don’t give up! 💐

@allymccoist
welcome
Well done on your weight loss so far
you’re about a week ahead of me
How many doses have you done so far ?
I stalled and had no losses in week 5 on 0.25mg
Could just be one-off no loss week for you or possibly a sign to move up to the next dosage.
id see how the week ahead goes for you.
Do you feel like you’ve kept to good choices and lower calories ?

Thanks. I’ve done 7 doses so far on 0.25 and have kept it the same for the next month.
Today I’ve actually felt really strong suppression, not finished either of my meals so far and not had a snack.

it’s weird how many habits I have changed. Previously when er I bought fuel I would ALWAYS get a bar of chocolate at the counter, now I don’t do that anymore. The other day one of my students bought me a box of chocolates as a thank you present and I put them straight in the staffroom whereas before I would have devoured them all myself.

dodgeThePot · 28/06/2026 17:16

@allymccoist
well it sounds like your doing all the right things and making positive changes to old habits.
i imagine the hot weather is affecting your losses and hopefully you’ll see further weight loss this week.

My snacking habit had gone way out of control pre Wegovy now I seem to be able to resit most eating between meals which is great and helping with slow steady losses. I was only needing to shift between one to one and a half stone. Not too much but in my late 50s it just wasn’t as easy to do anymore.

Like you I stuck with starter dose 0.25mg in month 2 just so I go slow and steady with a view to increase if losses stall

MrsKurz · 28/06/2026 18:39

Glad to hear you’re both feeling positive. I had a good loss week last week, but I also know I was eating significantly less (probably between 1100-1500 cals per day - the heat killed my appetite). It does worry me a bit that I can only lose weight when I eat so little, and feel like that’s not healthy and I want to be able to maintain this when I hit my target; not put it all back on when I increase my food volume too. So hopefully with a more normal week heat wise next week; I’ll see how the loss goes.

a HUUUUUUGE non scale victory today though, my body fat% has entered the “average” range, rather than the obese range according to my RENPHO scales!

Well done to @MrsKurz, love a NSV!!

I think I'm going to go with SheMed for my Wegovy pills, I'm interested in the blood tests and they still have a Blue Light Card special offer - but will keep an eye out for other suppliers.

If anyone could point me to a really simple guide of how to get started with Wegovy, I would be really grateful - I mean how much I'm supposed to eat, what's the best food etc - and of course any helpful apps! I've read a few websites but they seem to be quite contradictory, and I just need something as easy as possible to follow Confused

MrsKurz · 29/06/2026 15:21

@JaneLockland I don't think there's a one size fits all plan. I'm working with a dietician and a doctor through the clinic I'm getting my medication from, and they've given me guidelines on how many g of protein to try and hit per day, and what kind of daily calories I'm aiming for, based on my body weight.

Do you have access to any info like that via She Med?

Proteinpudding · 29/06/2026 17:23

@JaneLockland I'd agree with the previous poster, there aren't any specific foods to eat or to avoid, but as you'll hopefully be eating less overall it's important to focus on a balanced diet, to make sure you're not missing out on any nutrition. Though I think that's more of a risk on mounjaro where some people find they can barely eat at all.
You'll see a lot about protein being important, and while that's true, its often said in reference to retaining muscle - protein on its own doesn't do that, you need to eat protein and do some resistance training/strength training to have an effect. Fibre is good too to help with any possible side effects (constipation is quite common, as wegovy slows down the digestive system). Generally though it's about a healthy balanced diet and building those good habits.

Do you know how many clicks half a dose on a .5 pen would be, or how I can work it out? I know there's a table to work it out for mounjaro, but I can't find one for wegovy.

Proteinpudding · 02/07/2026 13:15

@MrsO2b I don't think I'm allowed to link it on here, but if you Google wegovy clicks counter there's a few that come up

dodgeThePot · 04/07/2026 11:46

How’s everyone getting on this last week?

Steady loss for me inching so close to my first goal weight.
My early morning Saturday weigh in had me below goal but I usually go by mid morning weight.

7th dose 0.25mg Wegovy
Sw 12st 7lb
Cw 11st 8lb
Gw 11st 7lb

pretty good week I’ve stuck to good protein sources mainly chicken eggs nuts skyre yogurt and cottage cheese.
Still allowing myself the odd ice lolly and biscuit with a cuppa.
That’s a big change for me cutting back on biscuit dunking and no urge to snack on chocolate biscuit bars in between meals.

One reason to loose the weight was to fit back into summer wardrobe clothes which I mostly can now.
I’ll probably keep going beyond that first goal weight to have a buffer half stone or so.
In my younger years I’d be a steady 10st 7lb ish but that’s too low and wouldn’t be a good look for me or sustainable now.

Im really pleased that this is steady progress on 0.25mg
Any advice from those further along the way? Debating if to stay 3rd month on 0.25mg or increase

MrsKurz · 04/07/2026 12:04

Well done @dodgeThePot that's amazing! Fitting back into summer clothes is wonderful.

My progress has been slower this last month, and I moved up to 0.75mg this week, so far still not having many negative side effects, I have felt very tired the last week but I'm not sure if that's the medication. Still noticing better surpression. I still get hugry, but I'm getting full quickly and not having the urge to snack between meals.

SW: 81.9kg
CW: 76.2kg
GW: 60kg

5.7kg/12.5lbs gone in just about 2 months I'm happy with. Would like if it would pick back up to .5-1kg per week again.

I hope you don’t mind me jumping on this thread, I’ve just ordered my first Wegovy pen. I’m not sure it’s going to do much, I don’t eat because I’m hungry I eat when I’m stressed or bored, does anyone have any experience can offer any reassurance?

Proteinpudding · 04/07/2026 12:47

@plsbekinddelicate I have found my cravings for treats - eg when stressed or wanting a 'treat' have reduced. The effect has worn off a little bit by now but I'm definitely less bothered by chocolate than I used to be. Same with alcohol, I get an alcoholic drink and I'm not bothered about finishing it.
Its good for weight loss but you do need to find something else to deal with the stress/boredom otherwise you might find you carry on eating even without enjoying it because it's your habit, and obviously that would limit weight loss. But a lot of people find it does help with those sorts of cravings, it seems to have an effect on dopamine. Some people have found it reduces their interest in gambling, shopping etc as well!

Learningdutch · 04/07/2026 13:05

Moved up to .5 last Monday and definitely feeling more nauseous. Less snacking and no alcohol. Will weigh in next Monday. Hoping to change to the pills after this pen.
