@Onbdy - thank you, and yes it really is a big help isn't it? Normally I'd probably have put a few more pounds on under the circumstances and if I got them back off again it would have taken forever and I'd end up losing momentum and back to the yo-yo, but with the jabs it all feels more manageable despite some chaos. It just helps me believe it's possible to get down to my goal weight even when there are bumps in the road!

Just read this: https://www.theguardian.com/wellness/2026/oct/27/can-you-run-marathon-glp-1s

Interesting for me as I do run a lot and although being lighter has helped my running, I struggled with nausea when I ran a marathon earlier this year. I ran a half marathon more recently and skipped my dose for the week before (I usually jab on Tuesdays as my long runs are typically on Mondays) and had a great race without the feeling of needing to vomit. The bit about increased resting HR is interesting too - mine has been slightly higher than normal this year, but I'd put it down to not back to full fitness yet, but good to know I might be closer to it than I thought!

‘I was so sick’: is running a marathon while on a GLP-1 a bad idea?

As the weight-loss drugs become more common, some runners find the side-effects challenging. Here’s what experts say
