@Onbdy like previous posters I went up to 10 and it didn’t agree with me. In my case my appetite was very severely suppressed to the extent that I couldn’t manage a boiled egg for lunch. I dropped down to 8.75 and have been managing happily on that for a few weeks

Onbdy · 21/08/2026 16:34

Thanks everyone, I’ll see how I get on next week before making a final decision.

2026istheyear2 · 21/08/2026 17:07

I’ve been on 5 for a while but have definitely seen worse choices coming in and more chocolate biscuits. It’s harder as I am now below my initial goal weight but have decided I want to lose another stone. I am therefore going for an end of summer refocus and will go up to 7.5 this weekend to get the last bit done! I was so good the first 4/5 months but it’s harder over the summer with all the social stuff and also as I do feel good in clothes etc now so there just isn’t as much incentive. Going to aim for goal in 7 weeks which will also be 6 stone down.

Perianth · 22/08/2026 09:23

Amazing to hear some of us reaching maintenance and coming back down the doses already! Congratulations, that must feel incredible.

I have an about a stone and a half to go, but it’s still coming off, slowly, on 6.25 currently. Like @2026istheyear2 I’ll go up to 7.5 after my holiday next week and knuckle down for the last bit. I’m a bit worried once the weather turns that my activity will drop as I’m currently walking a lot. Will have to find an enjoyable replacement, or get back to the gym.

No daily weigh in next week as I’m away. 😬

BeWildPearlFish · 22/08/2026 10:02

0.5 loss on scales this morning, total of 3st 3lb loss.

I'm starting to think about maintenance @8books I'm taking 3.75 from a 5mg pen so might move back to 2.5mg as a start

Octagoneaway · 22/08/2026 21:09

I moved up to 10mg 6 weeks ago. I’d stalled on 7.5, but this has really kickstarted things again. Although every week the first couple of days are tricky (can’t stomach much at all, and an upset tummy).

I think my next pen will go back down 7.5. I’m getting closer to my target, and I’ve got a big walking holiday coming up, so I want to have a bit more energy, (and I’m planning to skip a week while I’m away too).

started at 88kg in 1 Jan
down to 72kg (BMI 26.8)
aiming for 66kg, which should just about get my bmi to normal, but I don’t think I’ll need to go much lower.

Octagoneaway · 22/08/2026 21:10

I went out in a new dress last week, feeling great, and got a couple of compliments, then I realised it was still a size LARGE. Dented my confidence a little 😆

I'm over the moon I'm fitting into a size 16 on the bottom and some size 14 up top but I realise for many that is seen as as still being in the bigger sizes .
If you enjoyed wearing it plus were receiving complements , celebrate that .

But what size were you before?

This is me 2 weeks ago at a festival, wearing a 0XL dress from Shein. In January I would have been a 3XL.

So yes it's still an XL, but it's less of an XL iyswim.

I bet you looked great!

You look fab!!

I think that’s why I was a bit miffed: I think I was a large 2 stone ago. I’ve been buying mediums more recently. But this dress was from Jigsaw, so probably just came up small. I’d tried the M and it was definitely far too tight. I did buy some trousers today in a 12. So I know it’s not the end of the world, 🤣🤣🤣

HollywoodTease · 22/08/2026 23:21

Thank you, I think my friend caught me at a good angle haha!

It's all relative isn't it? If the dress fits, flatters and feels good then the label is irrelevant.

Maybe we should call it the rule of the 3 Fs! 🤔😁

Love that theory!!

Onbdy · 23/08/2026 10:29

You look great @HollywoodTease! @Octagoneaway I would take the compliments! I know what you mean about different sizes in different shops. I had a massive wardrobe try on/sort out last night. I’m now generally a 12 but I had some Billie and Blossom dresses from about 10 years ago, all fitted but one was a 12, one a 14 and one a 16! I’ve kept them all anyway. I was livid that the 16 wasn’t too big.😂 I’m blaming my huge boobs which have only gone down from a 38J to a 35HH even after losing almost 4.5 stones! 😬 They are fit and flare zip at the back dresses.
All of the size 12 trousers in my wardrobe fit apart from my M&S magic jeans. I’m still a 14 in these, is anyone else finding this or is it just my 2 big babies, multiple abdominal surgery pouch?

FrothyCothy · 23/08/2026 10:50

Great to hear everyone’s updates! I have basically faffed about since May and am only a couple of lbs lower than I was just before we went on holiday, and haven’t been to the gym either. I stuck with 1mg too long when it clearly wasn’t having the same effect. Have gone up to 1.7 but due to feeling really unwell (not jab related I don’t think) have skipped jabbing this week before coming away. So plan is see out August and refocus for September when we’re all back in routine, and aim for another 2st by Christmas 🤞🏻 I feel like I’m not even halfway on my journey yet!

CatNoBag · 23/08/2026 17:38

Good work everyone keeping at it over the summer and holidays etc. I had an impromptu (fun) trip last week and didn't get round to jabbing, but will do so tomorrow. It's been nice to have a week without the nausea that's been around since I went up to 7.5mg, but I'm back on it next week. Hoping to catch up with work backlog by the end of the day tomorrow, get a big shop in of vegetables, salads and good protein and I have 3-4 weeks of things being relatively calm before I go off on more fun travels. There's been a lot of non-fun travels and stress coming from other people this year, so I'm looking forward to getting away and switching off for a bit. Undecided on if I'll take my pen and needles with me (I need to pack light!), I did a similar trip last year and despite indulgences, the increase in movement balanced things out.

@Octagoneaway - I wouldn't worry too much about the sizing. If you feel good, look good and are happy with the outfit, enjoy the compliments. I've been buying from Vinted, trying to stick to the same brands once I know a certain size fits, but some still come up small and others large. The smaller ones, I'm using as a push to get going again (still on a stall, but I can see what the problems are - work, mostly!)

Perianth · 23/08/2026 21:23

@Onbdy don’t wish for too much boob shrinkage! My 40FFs are now a measly 36D and look like sad spaniel ears. I practically have to roll them up when I put on a bra. Luckily they look ok once scaffolded.

@Perianth Mine are still like watermelons. 😬 The smallest I’ve ever been at a size 8 and 8 stone was 34E in my 20s. I’d look ridiculous at that weight at my age now. I’d be happy as a 34G but I reckon I’ll have to lose over two stones to get there.

HollywoodTease · 24/08/2026 22:26

You sound a bit like me @Onbdy

I'm just coming up to 4 stone loss now and I've gone from a 38J to a 34HH. Definitely a bit droopier and less full now too, I have to kind of pour them in my bras. Sigh.

It's a good job Brastop have a permanent sale on, I've probably spent more on bras than anything else while on this journey! My dream when I get to goal (another 2.5-3 stone to go yet) is to get to a G or less so I can actually walk into a shop and buy a bra rather than order scaffolding online.

8books · 25/08/2026 08:22

Morning all!! New low on the scales. 9st 11lbs (62.2kg). Got my 3 stone loss badge/medal at long last 🥳

Wearing a Reiss dress today that I bought in 2013 and haven’t fitted since early 2015!!

The sad news, however, is that my previously spectacular perky lovely boobs are now the size of small gala apples. Sad day mourning those 😭 On the plus side, my bum and tummy look much improved and the lumpy porridge look has disappeared.

Anyone remember “Are you there God, it’s me, Margaret?”. Well, that’s me. I’m currently wearing the Boux Avenue equivalent of the wonderbra 🤣

SW 81kg (12st 11lbs)
CW 62.2kg (9st 11lbs)
GW 60kg (9st 6lbs)
5’7”
BMI 21.5

Weigh-in week #32

SW 99.9kg
Current GW 75kg (25%of starting weight)
CW 75.65kg
Loss so far 24.25kg (53.3lbs)
Loss this week 0.45kg (1lb)

So still plodding along happily on 7.5 MJ

I did my measurements this week too as it's the end of the month. My vital stats (chest, waist, hips) are now 41-34-41 so I'm lucky that I still seem to be losing in proportion which is good.

In other news though DPD failed to deliver my next order yesterday so it's been languishing in the back of a van for over 24 hours. I'm hoping this doesn't damage it! (It's not here today yet either). I usually opt for Post Office delivery as if they fail at least you can collect it from the sorting office on the same day - didn't see the option to use them for this order. Bah!

Perianth · 25/08/2026 10:09

@HollywoodTease I had an order go astray recently and when it arrived 2 days later, it was still pretty cold inside though the ice packs were no longer frozen. All seems to be good inside. It was my fault as I wasn’t there to receive it, so there would have been no refund if it had been returned!

HollywoodTease · 25/08/2026 10:36

This was DH, he was in but out the back cutting the grass and didn't hear them knock 🙁 I thought the one plus to him being retired now was that at least there would be someone in for parcels - nope! 😂

HollywoodTease · 25/08/2026 13:18

Is anyone checking their waist-to-hip and/ or waist-to-height ratios?

I've just done mine (0.83 and 0.56 respectively) and both are now down in the middle of the "moderate risk" section for associated health problems. 😃

Waist-to-hip has only decreased slightly (always been fairly hourglass even when obscured by fat) but waist-to-hip has come down from nearly off the scale high risk, which is nice....

bec81 · 25/08/2026 15:52

After almost 3 weeks of eating out whatever I fancied, more ice creams than I can count and swimming in rosé in the south of france, I was please to discover that i had only gained 0.4kg. I thought it would be a lot worse! Maybe it was the poolside sweating in 36° heat that did it!
