I seem to be down to losing a lb a week now , started 10/01 and good weight loss at the start but still loads to go .
I jabbed in the thigh for the first time last Friday and have lost 2lb.
Today is my last 1.7mg Wegovy before going up to the full size of 2.4mg next week which for those not on it is classed as highest dose without multiple jabbing .
I jabbed in the thigh again . Lost 45lb in total .

8books · 19/06/2026 11:26

Waaaaaah 😭 I’ve put on 1lb.

I’m going on my big holiday 6 weeks today. CW 65.5kg. Still 5.5kg from goal 🤦🏼‍♀️

I might be able to get to 62kg. I think I need to do cardio as well as weights.

goldylock · 19/06/2026 12:07

Am currently on my third dose of 1.7 mg WG after switching from MJ in April.

WL is slow, but going in the right direction. Am 12 stone 12lb.

SW was 14 stone.
GW is 12 stone.

@FrostyFlo May I ask what is your decision/reasoning for going to 2.4 mg WG? I will be reordering next week and need to decide.

I do not have any side effects at all and no appetite supression.

Hi , I've been on 1.7mg for a couple of months and when my provider sent the monthly form to fill out after my answers it suggested going up to the 2.4mg .
I thought about it for a few hours and decided to try it .
like I said I'm losing slow and as the 2.4mg is the maintenance dose for full suppression I thought why not ! Lol

glutenisthedevil · 19/06/2026 17:27

Last Sunday I injected into my thigh for the first time and have definitely experienced stronger suppression, to the point where I'm still not really bothered about food and am having to make myself eat. I'm going to see if I can stretch it out a bit this week and see how long it takes for the food noise/hunger to creep back in before injecting again.

BeWildPearlFish · 20/06/2026 11:05

I was psyching myself up to change my jab site to my thigh this morning, but couldn't do it! the thought of anywhere but my stomach makes me feel queasy. My stomach has plenty of fat to grab onto so it feels easier.

SW 13st
CW 10st 4lb
GW 10st

So 38lb, or a very large, well-fed city raccoon

I moved to 3.75 last week and noticed less of an urge to snack so planning to order a 5mg pen next time and count clicks to stay on 3.75 for a few weeks

thefluffycat · 20/06/2026 12:05

52lbs lost here now, apparently equivalent to a typical fully packed airline checked bag! 😂

My BMI is now also 24 exactly.

Still on 2.5 here.

I’ve also been going a day or two longer than a week to stretch doses out a bit.

Perianth · 21/06/2026 09:28

Well thigh jabbing was a wash out for me - I lost precisely nothing this week!

First week since I started I’ve not had a loss, but I did lose 3lb last week, so I guess it evens things out.

I’ve had a really busy week, so haven’t managed to fit in as much exercise as usual. Back at it this week though.

It’s going to be a hot one, so remember to stay hydrated!

Perimenoanti · 21/06/2026 16:35

Over three stone down now. I only have one pair of trousers to wear. Everything else is too big and the next size down is still uncomfortable, especially in this heatwave.

All of a sudden I can shop size 22/24. The last time this was possible was 19 years ago.

My choice of online shops was very limited. I might fit into a nice normal plus size range now. If anyone could point me to a brand for decent quality I would be very grateful. I have no idea where to start. I am looking mostly for cotton or a v high quality synthetic mix that's breathable.

8books · 21/06/2026 21:14

Didn’t like the thigh jab last week. Weaker suppression and another plateau 😭 Back to tummy injection today and planning to eat all of the protein this week. I must be due a whoosh!! 🙏

35lbs down, still stuck at 10st 4lbs.

glutenisthedevil · 21/06/2026 21:29

I'm going back to the stomach for my next one, too. I had much more suppression this week after injecting into my thigh but somehow put on almost 2lbs, despite tracking everything and not changing my eating habits. I've lost consistently since starting WLIs, with only one stay the same. It was a surprise seeing my first gain today, especially as I felt as though I'd had a good week. Hopefully it'll catch up on the scales next week.

thefluffycat · 21/06/2026 22:45

I think people only change location when they’ve stalled on the weight loss, which I had for a few weeks - the scales are finally moving again for me. It’s to be expected though as I’m now officially a healthy weight and not too far from my goal.

Ralphiesaurus · 22/06/2026 12:14

I've been trying to eat a little bit more of late because of this plateau... feels counterintuitive but I've read quite a lot about how if you don't eat enough your body kind of panics... will see if it makes any difference!

Am 6lb off a "normal" BMI so it has probably also slowed down because of that... although yesterday two different people each told me in their own ways that I am looking amazing (!!! Yay!!!) and then each of them separately immediately said "but don't lose too much!" I told one of them I am aiming for a healthy BMI and am not quite there yet... why do people care when you get slimmer???

Have any of you decided what you will do about maintenance? I am pretty much ok with staying on a low dose if necessary... this has changed my life in so many ways. I was successful with slimming world before but the peace and quiet without food noise is blissful. And knowing I can actually eat what I want when I want... and it will be (a) enough and (b) not make me instantly balloon. I have battled carbs for years really... ever since I did lighter life and lost 6 stone... never put it all back on but a lot went back on...

Anyway... interested to know people's plans.

glutenisthedevil · 22/06/2026 13:25

@Ralphiesaurus I've been thinking about this over the last few days. I'm still around 2 stones off where I'd like to be, but I've started to experience hair shedding and it was quite thin to start with so I'm seriously contemplating coming off earlier than planned. I've already started to stretch the dose (should've injected yesterday but didn't. Feeling fine at the moment, not too much food noise etc.) and I'm thinking of moving back down to 2.5mg for my next pen. This shouldn't be too much of a problem given that I've only recently made the move to 4mg.

The thought of being off them completely and going it alone again is quite scary!

thefluffycat · 22/06/2026 18:03

@Ralphiesaurus Yes I’m definitely coming off in around a month, when my current pen has finished. Hopefully I’ll be very close to my target weight of 9 stone something (I’m 9lbs away now…).

I’m on 2.5 so hopefully it won’t be too much of a shock, and I’ll be weighing daily to keep a check on my weight as I am not going back! I’ve been slim most of my life and only gained weight during peri (when I wasn’t weighing) so I’m hoping I can do it.

I can’t justify staying on it long term.

8books · 22/06/2026 19:55

I wanted to be done by the end of July when I go on hols. My perimenopause body has plateaued for 3 long weeks though, so I’m going to miss that date!

I’d like to lose another 12lbs to get comfortably into a size 8 again. I’m firmly stuck at 10st 4lbs and a size 10.

I’m back to 7.5mg after a few weeks at 10mg. There was no point going so high!

My maintenance plan is to titrate down fairly slowly once I hit goal (5mg for a month, then 2.5mg for a month). I think I’ll stay at 1.25mg long term. I don’t want to think about food noise in future and it’s sorted out my IBS.

HollywoodTease · 22/06/2026 20:03

Not even thinking about maintenance yet, although I am nearly 3 stone down I'm not even halfway to where I need to be and I suspect no matter what dose I'm on things will slow down the longer I'm doing it - and it's not exactly been quick so far!

In my head I'm hoping that wherever I end up dose-wise I will be able to titrate down for maintenance but I can't see me stopping completely because of the positive effects on my IBS and blood sugars.

Maybe the pills will be readily available by then? I reckon losing another 4 stone is probably going to take around a year.....

BeWildPearlFish · 22/06/2026 21:27

I went to 3.75 on Saturday and really feel the difference. I've been queasy and struggling to eat, feel a bit hungry but no interest the process of eating. Today I've had a bagel and plenty of water and just want to go to bed.

I'll see how it goes for the rest of this week and possibly next week, but if it continues I'll go back to 2.5 as I felt fine on that and only moved up as I had stalled for a few weeks

FrostyFlo · 23/06/2026 19:06

Hi everyone , don't be disheartened if you have an unexpected gain this week as the body can retain fluid in the heat which will impact the scales .

MrTiddlesTheCat · 24/06/2026 15:30

1.4 kg loss for me this week. I'm over the moon as I was expecting a gain.

Hettar · 24/06/2026 16:51

I'm finding that I lose a couple of pounds one week and nothing the following week. I'm fine with the loss as I'm getting closer to goal weight. Although I still have 2 stone to go.

My plan for maintenance is to slowly titrate down to 2.5mg (I'm on 3.75). Then I'll increase the time between dosages. To be honest I don't mind staying on the meds for a while so my body gets used to the weight.

I'm glad I lost so much weight before this weather hit. When I was bigger I hated the heat and was never comfortable. Now, it's not pleasant but manageable.

glutenisthedevil · 24/06/2026 18:09

I agree @Hettar, I would never have coped in this heat at the weight I was at Christmas, but am finding it more manageable now.
Like you, I have 2 stone to go but have already started spacing out my dose. I should've injected on Sunday and am taking it day by day as to when to do it again. At the moment I'm experiencing a normal amount of hunger in the mornings and then I'm OK throughout the day. I haven't yet had the food noise and I'm hoping I can get to the weekend before I need to jab again.

CatNoBag · 24/06/2026 18:12

Hello everyone... I've been MIA from here for over a month but managed to catch up on the thread. Phew!

Life has been pure chaos for a couple of months, some of it by choice, some not and quite stressful and my sleep has been awful. Also away from home a lot, away from my kitchen and routine, hardly any time to exercise. Typically at times like this is when it all goes to shit for me and suddenly I've gained a Stone, but somehow, despite it all, I've actually managed to lose a pound or two. I've still been jabbing (currently on 5mg), so I assume that's what's saved me as my diet has been a bit shit but presumably not too bad in quantity. I've even been feeling thinner in the middle of it all, and photos of myself no longer look as horrific as they did six months ago! And things like being able to sit more comfortably, bending down without having to manoeuvre around my belly etc!

I've got another week of chaos to go, then next week I'm hoping to have my nice quiet, boring life back again for a couple of months and get back to a better diet, more consistent losses and regular exercise. I'm not too bad when it comes to cardio (will happily go for a run or swim if I have time), but I think I need to rejig my gym routine - I'm not a natural gym person but have been going quite regularly for a few years when I am in my routine. I have an online trainer (used to see him in person, but now he just sets me a weekly programme online) but it isn't getting me back through the door once I'm home and I feel I need a human, face to face contact to get me back into it. I hate change, but I'm currently paying a fortune for something that isn't working any more, so I'll have to have a rethink.

Anyhow, having already been one of the slower losers on here, I'm probably way behind everyone else, but my stats are:
SW: 14St 5.2 (12th January)
CW: 12St 5.7

So very nearly a 2 Stone loss, which despite being slow in comparison, I'm happy enough with. I'd like to get to 11.7 by the end of August. If I get back to it and knuckle down properly that's more than doable I think and would be the lightest I've been for a couple of decades (I was 11.9 briefly 9 years ago!). I've managed to hoard a few pens - I think I've got a 2.5mg, 5mg and a 7.5mg hidden in the fridge. I've also expressed and interest with my provider (Juniper) in switching to tablets when they become available (they mention mid July) as I find it's a faff to have to take all the injection stuff with me when I'm away (especially when I haven't told a soul I'm using them!). Hopefully by the time I've used up my supply of MJ pens I'll be close to target and might just use them for maintenance. I'd like to eventually come off everything as it's a big expense in the long term even if I switch to pills, but we'll see. I'd just like enjoy not worrying about clothes fitting and how to hide my fatness ever again!

I feel my hair is coming out lately too. Part of the reason I was happy to go for a slower loss was to try to avoid it as they say hair loss can be due to losing a lot of weight quickly rather than the medication. But I'm not so sure about this if my experience is anything to go by (I've been losing more hair when I haven't really been losing weight!). I'm lucky to have very thick hair, but I'd rather keep it like that if I can. My Mum's hair got much thinner as she got older, so that's on the cards for me anyway, I just don't want to hurry that process along.

FrothyCothy · 24/06/2026 23:33

Very similar to you @CatNoBag I have “only” lost a couple of stone but my hair is falling out by the handful which feels very unfair! On the one hand I am glad of a thinned out mop in this heat, but could do with it settling down a bit by the autumn.

No thoughts of maintenance here, I’m probably not even halfway through yet! I have been taking it easy and not tracking like I was before so understand why it’s been slow. The heat is really not helping with movement or going to the gym!
