Inspired by those that inject into the thigh , I've just jabbed mine there for the first time as have always gone for the stomach . Can't see how it will make a difference weight wise but will be interesting to see .

It’s worth a go!

I’ve been losing very slowly for what must be a month or so - and I lost nothing last week. Since injecting into my thigh earlier this week I have now had a whoosh and lost 3lbs as I’m another lb lower this morning! I’ve no idea what’s going on; it could be coincidence but there was a thread on this board somewhere recently where people said it had helped them to get over being stuck which was what gave me the idea. I was starting to feel that my body had become immune to it.

So I’m now

Surprised but happy with 1.3 pounds off this week despite limited exercise, lots of cake and several meals out which I enjoyed but didn’t overeat at. Now 61 pounds down and under a stone to my revised goal which is exciting.

61lbs - wow !

Amazing , how long has that taken you ?

bec81 · 12/06/2026 19:00

Do you ever feel like the scales should understand context? Yes, I had a burger for dinner but it was wrapped in lettuce leaves instead of a bun and only a few chips. I know its not a healthy dinner, but relative to everyone else's I feel like the scales should acknowledge the good behaviour more 😋

Started on Jan 2nd so 5 months. I have done a lot of exercise which has really helped.

BeWildPearlFish · 13/06/2026 21:20

I weighed in with 1lb off, so 5lb more to my second goal (goal 1 was 2 stone, goal 2 is 3 stone).

Ive been on 2.5 since starting in January but moving to 3.75 as the suppression is waning and food noise is creeping in again.

Jab day…still a plateau!! 🫤 What is going on? I’m definitely in a calorie deficit and I’ve done my weights three times this week.

Currently writing a complaint letter to Mr Lilly 😂

I’ve been on MJ for 24 weeks and lost 35lbs. I’m going to do 7.5mg today (rather than 10mg).

Seriously though, it’s really disheartening. Maybe my body is just sticking at 10st 4lbs (bmi 22.5) 🤷🏼‍♀️ Shouldn’t be my limit though, as I was at least a stone lighter before babies. Now I’m peri and on HRT though, so I think that’s another battle!!

glutenisthedevil · 14/06/2026 10:23

Weigh in #23

1lb loss this week but coming off the back of a 3lb loss last week so can't complain (51lbs total).

After some of the chat up-thread I'm going to try injecting into my thigh this week and see if I notice any difference.

It’s hormones and HRT for me. I was 8 stone 10 for much of my life, until peri in my 40s kicked in. I ballooned to 14.5 with no change in diet and I’ve always exercised daily (on top of walking everywhere as I don’t drive). I’m in the 10s now and am aiming for 9s but I know it will be a struggle.

I was reading the thread about how many calories people eat. The TDEE calculator is so far out for me - I put weight on at 1400 calories and that’s with exercise, but it says I should be able to eat far more, even without exercise! It’s far too simplistic and doesn’t take into account hormones and medication etc. I’m only losing eating 800-1000 calories.

I’ve had a whoosh this week after injecting into my thigh, but again, it could be due to where I am in my cycle etc, and I think it’ll be a one off as my body seems to want to stick around this point even with the MJ. I am worried about coming off in a month or two but I will weigh daily and eat as little as is needed to not go up again.

8books · 14/06/2026 14:08

@thefluffycat please can I ask where you did the injection on your thigh? Top inner thing maybe? Haven’t done today’s jab yet.

Perianth · 14/06/2026 14:41

Ahh, we are all going thigh this week! @8books I did a thigh jab this morning. I tried once before and didn't notice a difference, but have been inspired by @thefluffycat to try it again. Advice insert suggests front of thigh, and I've read inner thigh should be avoided because there are a lot of nerves and veins in that area. I found it hurt more than stomach, but just a sharp prick (I don't feel it at all as it slides into my belly fat!)

I've dropped 3lbs this week, which was unexpected as I've not been able to fit much exercise in this week, so very happy with that.

At the top at the front. I copied my DH 😂 I place my HRT patch there too.

8books · 14/06/2026 19:34

Thanks @thefluffycat and @Perianth. Thigh jab done. 7.5mg, so hopefully the lower dose will mean no vomit this week 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Lovingtheglitter · 15/06/2026 18:06

Jabbed last night then weighed this morning and have lost 2 lbs - a grand total of 3 stone 3 lbs in 21 weeks. Did think of jabbing in my thigh rather than the usual belly fat! But will wait to see how you all do as I don’t want to lose too quickly. I went to a wedding anniversary party on Saturday and people who hadn’t seen me for a while were shocked in a good way with the weight loss! It was a boost!

HollywoodTease · 15/06/2026 18:34

I've been jabbing in my thighs since I started - still plodding! 😂

😂 It’s changing the location that’s supposed to help rather than the specific area - some have moved to the arm from thigh etc.

My arms are quite bony though so I wouldn’t fancy injecting there at home! (I’ve always had a slim upper half even at 14.5st - my collarbone has always stuck out!)

HollywoodTease · 16/06/2026 09:46

Weigh-in day today, jab #22

SW. 99.9kg
CW. 82.1kg

Only 0.35kg or 0.75lbs off this week, but still going in the right direction.

Total loss 17.8kg or 39lbs. That's still an average of 1.75lbs/week, which is pretty cool. It feels like my 3 stone is within reach now!

No weigh-in next week as I'm off to Europe in my motorhome for 10 days tomorrow. I will still be jabbing though!

Ralphiesaurus · 17/06/2026 13:17

Ok so this is totally my fault but I am annoyed at their inflexibility given how much the MJ pens cost. I suddenly realised that when my latest pen arrived last week I binned the packaging without thinking... and the needles and swabs were in it! So I asked customer service if I could order some more and they say it's against their policy?!?! Anyway I have ordered more online but I think it is poor service. Presumably it's to stop people stretching out doses or something? At least I have one left for today so at least there's that... aargh!

bec81 · 17/06/2026 14:42

Good day today, hit 63.9 on the scales. Was thinking id stop at 63kg, but think now I still have a little way to go yet. But definitely not far off. Its probably more toning than weight loss that i need now anyway. I have 2 months of 1mg left on my prescription, which will bring me up to holidays for 2.5 weeks, ill probably start tapering down then

Onbdy · 17/06/2026 16:27

Advice needed, I’ve jabbed 4 doses of 6.25 from a 7.5 pen. I tried turning the pen and it still allows me to. Theoretically I should have 40 clicks left (if it lets me) Is there likely to be enough left in the pen to get another 10 clicks and therefore another dose of 6.25? Has anyone tried this?

Would you try an insulin needle? Any time I go off prescription, I just extract the dose with an insulin needle to ensure im dosing correctly

Onbdy · 17/06/2026 21:18

@bec81 Thanks, I don’t have time to order one now before my next dose. I was just wondering if the pen would still work. I will keep the old pen and buy some insulin needles.

Week 23 update from me.

Dosage: 3.75 mg of MJ
SW: 17 st 10 lbs
CW: 13 st 5 lbs
GW: 11 stone
Total loss: 4 st 5 lbs (61 lbs)

Everything is going well for me. I'm just 1 pound away from being 'overweight' instead of obese. Also getting close to the 12 stone mark which I'm really excited about.

I started weight training this week. Just the one session so far. It was so hard! Lack of energy and strength. I wish I'd started earlier but am determined to keep it up.
