So 10mg isn’t for me!! Woke up at 7am, vomited. Forced myself to eat breakfast at 10am, couldn’t face lunch. Now back on the bed as I feel like I have morning sickness and dizzy 🤦🏼‍♀️

HollywoodTease · 26/05/2026 12:03

Weigh in today and I have stayed the same again

7.5 starts next week!

Ralphiesaurus · 26/05/2026 17:42

That sounds awful @8books ! Do look after yourself.

I agree that hot weather is totally different when youre not carrying (and/or trying to hide) lots of excess weight. It's still HOT (am near London so 35⁰C today!) But survivable... !

Next 7.5mg tomorrow. Keep wondering if it's still working and then realised I have left half a sandwich or whatever. Always used to finish my food... (drummed into me as a child not to "waste" food 🙄rather than eating to appetite...)

thefluffycat · 27/05/2026 05:53

I’ve been enjoying wearing my new summer dresses again, bought for my holiday last month!

I’m going to have a clearout of my larger sizes as I’m determined not to put the weight back on. My PJs which are normally ok a bit oversized became ridiculously massive and were literally falling down so I’ve got rid of those and treated myself to new ones.

I’m still allowing myself treats when out - I’ve had some lovely ice cream/ sorbet this week, and chips when out with the DC at the seaside. I’ve been going for a tub instead of cone, and eating half the potion of chips that I would have eaten previously. I just balance it out by then having something very light for dinner later (my lunch would normally be the lighter meal).

MrTiddlesTheCat · 27/05/2026 08:59

0.8 kg loss for me this week.

SW: 135 kg
CW: 110.7 kg
Total loss: 24.3 kg (3.8 stone)

ThisAmusedPoet · 27/05/2026 09:02

Another 0.5kg down this week and approaching the 20kg lost mark. I’ve also entered “normal” BMI range! happy with slow and steady until I reach the GW which is 6kg away. I might adjust a little bit - maybe able for 65kg. I’ll see how I feel when I get there.

Still on 7.5mg at the moment.

SW 1/1/26 - 93.3kg
Jan (2.5mg) 86.5kg -6.8kg
Feb (5mg) 82.5kg -4kg
March (5mg) 79.4kg -3.2kg
April (7.5mg) 75.6kg -3.8kg
MJ20 20/5/26 - 74.5kg -1.1kg
MJ21 27/5 - 74kg -0.5kg
GW: 68kg
Total loss: -19.3kg

thefluffycat · 27/05/2026 09:31

I’ve just calculated my BMI and it is now in the healthy range! Just, but I’ll take it! I’m aiming to get to the lower end to give me a bit of a buffer for when I come off MJ.

Ralphiesaurus · 27/05/2026 10:04

Slow and steady here as well... after my lengthy plateau. Next injection due today... staying on 7.5mg for a bit.

SW 94.5kg (14st 12lb)
CW 78.2kg (12st 4lb)
Original GW 75kg (poss lower to get into "normal" BMI... - well done to @thefluffycat for reaching that milestone!!)

8books · 27/05/2026 18:48

Day 4 on 10mg. After a ropey day 2 of vomiting, I feel good again. Just not hungry at all. I sat in front of a plate of yummy Nando’s last night and ate a few bites of chicken, none of the pitta and 3 chips!! It wouldn’t fit inside my stomach for some reason 🫤 Hard to explain. It feels like I imagine a gastric band would feel. There’s no real capacity to my stomach now.

I’m lifting light weights 4/5 times a week to tone, as I do worry about muscle lose.

0.4kg off this week. I’d like to be done with MJ by end of July (9 weeks), but it seems to be slower progress. I’m trying to make sure I have Greek yoghurt for breakfast, a boiled egg for snack, chicken and veg soup for lunch and I just had some salmon, rice and broccoli. I’ll try to add a piece of toast later.

SW 81kg (12st 11lbs) BMI 28
CW 66.5kg (10st 6lbs) BMI 23
GW 60kg (9st 6lbs) BMI 20.8
5’7”

Hi can I join please? My first pen arrives tomorrow and I’m so so nervous. Any tips would be welcome and really appreciated? When’s the best day/time to jab? Thank you

Perimenoanti · 27/05/2026 21:58

Got up and down looks today from someone i hadn't bumped into in a while 😎

I had to set up an account on the nhs app this week and browsed a bit. It shows every single weigh in over the years. They never told me what my weight was but I can see how much it escalated over the years. I felt really sad for my 25yo self, 35yo self and so on. She obviously struggled in life and it showed up in her weight. After having seen this I am just angry that the best they could come up with was a voucher for slimming world once. The NHS just never really helped me with my mental health or my weight. Everything I ever got was a bandaid until I finally earned well enough to afford long term therapy privately and now WLI.

I wasn't a fat lazy woman. I was a hardworking fat and ill woman who made it nevertheless and now has the opportunity to buy herself into better health 😪

CatNoBag · 28/05/2026 12:23

@Cece92 - welcome to the chat! Most of us will be a bit ahead of you having start in January, so it's a good place for advice and tips. I think we all vary on which day we jab based on different needs and lifestyles etc. I tend to jab on Monday morning because I'm more active on weekends (and so need to eat a bit more for energy!). Some prefer to jab on non-work days, especially at the start, in case of any side-effects.

@Perimenoanti - I can sympathise. I was telling my husband last week that I want this to be the last year I ever have to think of dieting and be unhappy with how I look. I consider myself lucky that for the most part I've been very 'healthy'., the brief period when I wasn't really made me see how difficult it is when your body turns against you. And when that happens, its just a matter of fixing that specific issue, no chance of a holistic approach to help keep you on the path of goo health.

Thank you ☺️ everyone’s doing brilliant. My pen came about half an hour ago I’m going to store in the fridge and jab mid day tomorrow so if I have any side effects then they kick in after work and I can have the weekend to relax….. I hope 😂

Onbdy · 29/05/2026 08:41

Weigh in and jab day for me today, 2 pounds off on my first week of 6.25, 3 stones in total now. I felt a bit iffy over the weekend but things settled down by Monday. I’m glad I didn’t go straight up to 7.5! Im eating around 1200 - 1400 calories. I’m 5ft 1 and post menopausal. I was just wondering how many calories others are eating at a similar height and age. I still have at least 3 more stones to lose. I’ll stick with it but I just thought it would be a bit faster.

thefluffycat · 29/05/2026 09:05

Well done everyone and welcome cece92.

I’d been losing at a good pace up until recently, but that’s with eating 800-1000 calories and exercising lots. Prior to going on MJ I was putting weight on at 1400 calories even with exercise, but I’m peri menopausal and on HRT. I’m taller though at 5’6.

The scales finally showed a number in the 10s today! 10.13. They also showed 11.0 twice too but it must mean I’m very close!

I’d stalled for a bit and interestingly the jump down happened after meals out and treats due to half term and various celebrations!

Height 5’6
SW: 14.5
CW: 11.0 (I won’t say 10.13 until it’s consistent)

3.5 stone lost!

I want to drop another stone but only have one and a bit pens left. I’m having half doses from 5mg though so my last one will last longer. I can’t justify the ongoing cost when I have DC. I was hoping to keep buying until the cheaper tablets came out to help with maintenance, but although they keep being mentioned, I’m not seeing any dates. I doubt I’ll be allowed to get them with a gap and a healthy BMI sadly.

GreenLemonade · 29/05/2026 12:53

I aim for 1000 calories per day but often end up eating 1100-1200. I noticed that hunger is slowly coming back. I considered moving up to 10mg but I'm so close to goal that I don't think it's worth it.

Height: 5"4
SW: 84kg / 13:3 st
CW: 65kg / 10:3 st
Goal: 60kg / 9:6 st

I've lost 3 stones!

Im similar to you, with SW of 81.5, current weight 65.5, and its started to slow a lot lately with a lot more hunger. I also am excersing less as ive done something to my back and was probably overdoing the exercise.
Im on 1mg wegovy for a couple of weeks, and though its fitting into my lifestyle well in that I can still eat out, go for drinks, enjoy small treats, and can afford it as wegovy isn't nearly as expensive, I need to refocus my mind on keeping am eye on the cals and working with the increased hunger

Im a similar height too at 165cm, which I think is about 5ft 4

GreenLemonade · 29/05/2026 15:23

@bec81 congrats on your weight loss! what's your goal weight? Have you started thinking what you're going to do for maintenence?

FrostyFlo · 29/05/2026 15:36

Another one reaching the 3 stone mark today but for me another 3 stone to go !

goldylock · 29/05/2026 16:43

Has anyone on Wegovy gone up to 1.7 mg after being on 1 mg for a month?

I think that's the progression. Not sure what to do for next pen.

I haven't weighed myself today, as I had played alot of compeditive tennis during the week (a couple 2.5 hour singles matches in that heat 🥵) and I usually swell with the water. Might leave it till Monday/when it might be cooler.

Perianth · 29/05/2026 17:44

Anyone heard of, or even tried something called Fit20? https://www.fit20.com/uk/home

There's one opening up near me and I'm curious. Most of my current exercise is hill walking and I do a fair bit - around 15,000 steps per day, more at weekends. I weight train at home to videos too, but love this less and struggle to find the time for it, hence being interested in this!

Nope. I am on my second month of 1mg and will probably do a third.

BeWildPearlFish · 29/05/2026 19:56

I've stayed on 2.5mg since starting in January, over the last few weeks I'm noticing less suppression and more of an urge to snack. I had to refill so ordered a 5mg. I’ve still got the golden dose to use in my 2.5mg pen, if I syringe it all out is that like a mid dose between 2.5 and 5?

Do you still have quite good appetite supression from your second 1 mg pen?
