I've really lost interest in alcohol - another lovely side effect!

I weighed on Saturday and had maintained, but upped my water intake from then and this morning was 3lb lighter. I definitely wasn't drinking enough so am making a real effort now. As of today I've lost 2.5 stone which I can hardly believe. And for the first time since school I bought size 10 jeans

SW 13st
CW 10st 7lb
GW 10st

Love reading everyone’s updates!

Thought I’d plateaued after weighing in yesterday, but actually I’d dropped 0.4kg when I weighed this morning 👏

SW 81kg (12st 11lbs) BMI 28
CW 66.9kg (10st 7lbs) BMI 23.1
GW 60kg (9st 6lbs) BMI 20.8
5’7”

Feels so strange to be one stone from goal!

Thinking out loud. I took my latest jab yesterday.

I have 5x5mg left.

If I do 2.5mg from my golden dose today (I break the pen and click to 1 to get it out usually) I could then do 7.5mg by counting clicks for the next 3 weeks by which time I will have ordered a new 7.5mg pen anyway.

Or do I stick with 5, use willpower to curb my appetite and just see what happens?

I am away again for the next 2 consecutive weekends, but have decided that I won't be drinking this time to see if (as I suspect) it's those empty calories and potential extra carbs that are causing me to plateau.

🤔🤔

I did exactly this and used my 5mg pen to do 7.5mg when I wanted to move up between orders!!

namnamnam22 · 20/05/2026 21:05

Still on 2.5 here and somehow had a massive 3.5lb loss this week… this ALWAYS happens just before I set my mind on moving to 5mg, still considering moving up.

SW - 91.5kg
CW - 73kg
GW - was 70kg but looking like I’ll rethink that

bookwormcrazy · 21/05/2026 21:31

Jab day, and I have put in half a lb. I keep talking about moving up to 6.25mg seeing as I have an extra pen and now I am really going to do it.
But there’s a part of me that’s trying to justify why I put on. Hubby’s back in hospital, so I went 48hrs without sleep and then drowned myself in wine and haribo! But realistically, that wouldn’t have happened before so suppression and food noise have definitely lessened. I need to bite the bullet and do it!!

Octagoneaway · 21/05/2026 23:15

I’m still struggling and I’ve just started my second 7.5mg pen. I had a chat with ChatGPT who “said” that 7.5 could still be considered a starter dose, so moving up isn’t nearly as terrible as it seems. I feel like I’m failing because so many people are still having good suppression on 2.5 or 5. But ultimately, this what it is. I obviously need more help 😬🙄

The end goal is to have lost weight and feel healthier and happier in ourselves .
We are all individuals , all on your own journeys and as the saying goes , comparison is the thief of joy .
It doesn't do to compare ourselves to others , what works for one might not work for you .
You are doing something for you . Everyone one of us are , support and advice on here is invaluable , but we are still doing it individually so don't compare yourself to others .

This chart makes me very happy! I was at the Chelsea Flower show yesterday in a pretty dress (which someone came up to compliment me on 🙂) and felt wonderfully normal. I also went to a lovely dress shop to get a dress for Ascot and it was wonderful to have choices and to be happy trying on things and then showing the assistants for their opinions.

Jab/weigh day for me, I lost a pound this week. 40 in total. It has been pretty slow the last few weeks and food noise is returning so I have moved up to 6.25 today. Hopefully not too many side effects.🤞

Springflowers3 · 22/05/2026 11:39

Have lost 2lb this week after a bit of a plateau so that what a pleasant surprise. I’ve got a big weekend visiting my daughter with my sister. I’ll be getting my steps in on the way to the many cafes and bars she’s taking us too.

I’m going to relax and enjoy it and I have some lovely new clothes to wear which are NOT jeggings and baggy jumpers.

Have a great bank holiday weekend, January 26 losers.

goldylock · 22/05/2026 12:08

Ah, nice to have a BH in the UK. Ireland is next Monday 😎😁.

Had 3rd jab on WG 1 mg last night. All fine so far.

I weighed myself this morning and am now in the 12s.....

12 stone and 13 pounds...

That means in the time I've been on WG (this is the 3rd week), I've lost about 5lbs...

I was on MJ for 4.5 months and lost about 7 lbs.

I don't want to jinx myself, and I am near target weight of 12 stone, but seems WG was right way to go.

I have a little nausea, but find if I drink water/eat little and often, that helps alot.

Mad how WG seemingly suits me better than MJ...

8books · 22/05/2026 14:44

@bookwormcrazy sorry to hear your husband is back is hospital. Don’t beat yourself up about any food you have. It’s such a comfort blanket.

@Octagoneaway I’m on 7.5mg. I wouldn’t be worried about a move to 10mg (it’s still well below the 15mg max). I know a few friends had their most success at that level.

P.s. how wonderful that it’s sunny and I’m no longer fat!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

HollywoodTease · 24/05/2026 11:01

I've just put my next order for 7.5mg in. I'm going to do my golden dose from my current 5mg pen on Tuesday then move straight to the new pen the week after I think.

That will give me a "spare" unopened 5mg pen in the fridge to either use by counting clicks or keep til I'm at goal and looking at moving back down for maintenance.

glutenisthedevil · 24/05/2026 12:53

Weigh day for me today and another 2.5lb off, so 46lbs in total now. It's a beautiful day today and it's such a relief to be able to enjoy the weather without feeling hot, sweaty, uncomfortable, or just staying inside to avoid the heat and the clothing dilemma completely! What a difference in a relatively short space of time. This drug is amazing.

FrothyCothy · 24/05/2026 14:03

Hello from holidays! I have just been on a few of water slides at our hotel. I absolutely would not have done that this time last year. I still have a way to go (my current weight is above a lot of your starting weights!) but the difference losing a bit has made to my confidence (or maybe it’s a bit of age related don’t-give-a-fuck-ness) is great. Either way I’m enjoying it!

I didn’t jab before coming away (Monday jabber) but still very much feeling the effects which is good as not gone mad at the AI buffet yet - will see if I can resist it by the end of the week.

Well done on the weight loss.

I completely agree about the hot weather. I was always hot sweaty and uncomfortable and hated it. Now after losing some weight it's actually nice being out. I can't believe how different it feels.

I love the fact that you're going on the slides.

This is one of the reasons I wanted to lose weight so I could do this with my little boy. I always wear t shirts around the pool when on holidays. Even when getting into the pool which was horrible because it weighed so much but I was too embarrassed about my huge belly to work around without the t-shirt.

No holidays planned for this year but I'm hoping next year I'll have the confidence to go into the pool and slides.

It's great, isn't it? I still have around 2 stones to lose, but the change from last summer is unbelievable. Every summer I would feel sad and miserable and swear that I'd not put myself through it again and that I'd be slimmer the next year... and every year I was bigger and more miserable than the one before! So glad to have finally broken free of that!

I am extremely pasty so am still well
covered up but did take that off to go on the slides and obviously had to walk around in just a swimming costume but definitely felt less self-conscious than I used to. Then again, there are a lot of interesting sights at this hotel so I doubt anyone would be looking at me regardless of my weight 🤣

8books · 24/05/2026 16:59

Amen to getting hotter (I mean healthier lol) bods for sunny weather 😂

So pleased we started making our summer bodies in winter!! 🙌

Jab day today and I counted clicks and did 10mg from my 7.5mg. Don’t know why. Just to see what happens I suppose. I have to set an alarm at 12:15pm every day to remember to eat!! 10mg might be too much from a suppression perspective. So we’ll see.

Well done @FrothyCothy going on the water slides!! It really helped me seeing other people’s bodies at the local swimming pool (first visit since before I had kids). Then I thought if they’re all fine with their bodies, I don’t know what I’m worrying about. I didn’t think twice about anyone else. Have an amazing time!!

InstantRegret · 25/05/2026 09:27

Currently with Voy but looking for a different provider as Voy is so expensive. Need an “off label” prescriber though as my BMI is 26.
Currently paying £220 for 5mg but need to go up to 7.5mg but that costs £270 which I can’t justify.
Can any of you lovely people recommend your provider? Offer codes welcome too!

Perimenoanti · 25/05/2026 11:18

How is everyone doing in the heatwave? It highlights how much we have changed. Last year's t shirts are now tents, I am not a sweaty mess when out walking. I am walking like a 20yo as nothing or very little hurts. Its been amazing.

I realise how much I used to Snack during summer. An ice cream on my balcony in the morning to celebrate summer. It feels like I have different eating habits depending on the season and I now need to tackle my old summer eating habits. It is a little bit bittersweet because what do you mean I can't have two ice creams every day plus an iced latte? My appetite is definitely there. Thank god berries are very low calorie and I can still stuff my face with those.

This time next year - what will it be like?

Perimenoanti · 25/05/2026 11:25

God I feel so proud. I have a little helper in wegovy but I have still worked so hard to lose the weight I lost. Summer is my reward. It keeps me going. I look forward to summer. I feel really motivated now.
