I’ve finally taken the plunge and just ordered Wegovy from Asda pharmacy. All been well it should be ready for collection on Tuesday so it would be great to hear from anyone else who has just started or is about start their WLI/Weygovy journey.
I’m very nervous and haven’t told anyone, but I’ve just failed at my 3rd diet attempt this year and feeling horribly self-conscious about my weight and dreading the summer so just thought fuck it, I’m going to give it a go.

hello all, I started 1mg last night. So far ive not had any suppression on 0.25 or 0.5 (very briefly the first week) and no side effects but today having strong feelings about food and got side effects such as eggy burps and lots of toilet visits (sorry TMI). Really hope this is the turning point!

BreakingBroken · 30/06/2026 00:52

oh i hope those are good signs for you @Ibwah

Pairymoppins · 30/06/2026 10:28

I’ve lost 4.5 pounds in June so a total of either ten or eleven pounds (have lost track) after ten doses. On the one hand it’s painfully slow for the money and I can’t really afford it. On the other hand, it’s sort of working as I don’t have any sense of relying on my dwindling willpower that I would normally have on a diet. I feel like I could keep going for a long time. So with two doses left in the pen I haven’t decided if I am stopping, continuing or pausing.

If I continue I will be sticking with 1mg for the foreseeable so that the side effects are manageable. Interested to hear others’ plans.

BreakingBroken · 30/06/2026 17:56

from the 31st of may to the 30th of june i'm down 6.9 lbs and a total since i started of 24 lbs.
the medication certainly makes it easier to skip snacks and eat less, so far i've had zero unfortunate side effects. costs in canada have come down significantly from $281 (my first pen) to $105 for my second pen (lower price due to the introduction of generic ozempic on the market). each pen has 8 x .25 doses and i'm still on the .25 dose.
it's been a super rough two weeks in my home with my dh suddenly and without any hint now severely diabetic. the dietitian appointment is on the 13th of july so for the past 2 weeks we are doing the best we can to keep his blood sugar level as low as possible (for the sake of his kidneys/eyes/blood vessels etc). but this constant review of carbs and calories ruins my appetite and ability to balance my dietary needs because his food combinations esp breakfast and lunch are unconventional.
i'm going to stick to the .25 for now and i hope we find a better breakfast/lunch routine and that it helps decrease my stress and stress nibbling.
introducing swimming into my exercise options has been very good mentally.

lechatnoir · 01/07/2026 14:58

I'm a bit like you @Pairymoppins not 100% decided whether I'll carry on and if so at what dose as it's been slow and I don't particularly notice any real impact. Final dose of pen 2 (0.5mg) and managed to get an extra 0.25mg taking me to 5.25mg this week which will hopefully see me through a tricky weekend of entertaining & parties. My scales are showing another 2lb loss and my clothes are definitely looser but it's going at a similar rate to when I did SW and feels similar effort. Mind you, that was the last time I actually lost weight and all attempts in the past year or so have failed miserably.
I've just paid the £50 to come out of my Voy subscription and have been approved for Nulife 0.5mg if I want to continue - need to decide by Monday if I want it in time for my next dose.

I have seen very little change on 0.25/0.5 but injected 1mg Sunday and OMG I have felt completely different - appetite
really down and cannot face breakfast which is unheard of for me. Have been concentrating on protein and nutrients this week. Have had a few eggy burps and some loose stools but nothing too bad and not as bad as when I was on Mounjaro. Glad I preserved to get to this point.

JumpingJacks11 · 02/07/2026 09:37

@lechatnoir that’s frustrating esp when ur paying out. Would u move up to 1mg to see if it makes it any easier?

well I am back from 2.5 weeks in Italy, I’d decided to do injection the day we left and not bring it with me (I hoped to just not put weight on over the holiday) the first 9-10 days I couldn’t eat very much (heat didn’t heat) I’d say the next week I could eat more but not overly so, the last 2 days I noticed I could eat much more. I weighed as soon as home this morning and I’ve almost 5 pounds off, really delighted with that, I feel like getting out of the 160s is within reach finally 🎉

after pizza, pasta and ice cream I am looking forward to getting back to protein, lots of water and just healthy eating again so hoping for a nice loss this week back on track 🤞🏽

lechatnoir · 02/07/2026 18:59

Well done @JumpingJacks11thays amazing post holiday and @Ibwahreally pleased you stuck with it and feeling it working for you.

i’ve had a great non-scales win today - I put on an outfit I wouldn’t have dreamed of wearing a couple of months ago and not only did it fit, but I actually felt good in it Grin

keep on going April starters we can do this

Congrats @VividDeer that must feel amazing. I am excitedly waiting to say farewell to the obese category, I have 7lbs to go.

BreakingBroken · 03/07/2026 11:41

Oh @VividDeer thats wonderful!!

jabsahoy · 05/07/2026 09:06

@VividDeer well done!!!

been a weird few weeks here and dieting fell off the agenda. I did get to a stone off then last week gained 1lb, which weigh in today shows has gone again, thankfully. After 3 pens on 0.25mg, have upped to 0.5mg and am hoping that I can reset myself to get 7lbs off in next 5 weeks before hols. That'll be just over 10% of my starting weight.

VividDeer · 06/07/2026 08:16

I realised that my success the last few weeks might be due to moving day i jab. I was Monday as I wanted to enjoy weekend and am still jabbing on the quiet. I moved to Wednesday on my birthday week. Now I have more suppression at weekend so that's more successful for dieting!
I'm still enjoying eating out. But it ends up being pretty much all i eat that day.

VividDeer · 06/07/2026 08:19

Although I'm still not at a stone yet, so I'm probably one of the slower ones!
But thought I'd share about changing jab day incase anyone else might benefit from mixing it up.

New week. Feeling motivated. Can't lose too much before holiday or clothes won't fit. I haven't had that problem for a while. Usually they don't fit and I have to panic buy bigger. A holiday in lanzarote a few years ago I had to go and find giant shorts on day 1.

JumpingJacks11 · 06/07/2026 12:28

@VividDeer thats exactly why I went with a Wednesday or Thursday as I feel it gives max suppression over the weekend when I need it most, its a good tip!
I just reordered at 0.5, I plan to stick to 0.25 but its the same price as the 0.25 pen for me so I’ll get much longer out of it, has anyone else done this and just counted clicks? How many clicks do I do for 0.25?

thanks

lechatnoir · 06/07/2026 14:57

@VividDeer well done that's fantastic.

@JumpingJacks11 I use this one: Wegovy Clicks Calculator

My scales have tipped into the 10's today - it's been a long time since I've been 10 stone something and over half way so I'm really chuffed. Just waiting for my 3rd pen to arrive with NuLife and sticking on 0.5mg for the time being as it's clearly working OK.

Yes I am..for me its 17.5 clicks, but check your pen. You can turn back once counted

lechatnoir · 06/07/2026 15:21

Oh and yes, I too moved to Wednesday for weekend suppression @VividDeer as I'm generally pretty good in the week anyway it's the Friday-Sunday that is my undoing!

JumpingJacks11 · 06/07/2026 17:36

@VividDeer ah brilliant thanks, I was thinking someone was doing same. It’s mad they are same price.
I have to say I’ve been more hungry this week after skipping that one injection when I was away so I do think the build up helps week after week.

if I got into the 140’s (still 15 pounds to go) I think I’d start spacing it out 9-10 days and stretch to every 2 weeks eventually. I do wonder is it a case of a forever thing though because hunger does just come back if we stop and I can see the weight just creeping back on over time 🤷🏼‍♀️

lechatnoir · 06/07/2026 21:30

I’ve been think long about that too @JumpingJacks11 - I’m watching the Weygovy pills with interest as they are a daily dose so easily tailored up or down I and believe going to be much cheaper so might be an option for maintenance.

OP posts:
BreakingBroken · 06/07/2026 21:44

Very very slow weight loss the past few weeks but still a loss.
I'm waiting to report back once under 160 (2.6 lbs to go).
I'm still pleased with the suppression, equally I'm doing okay on fitness. IF I'm failing it's on water intake and protein.
Long term plan is to stretch out doses and wean off gently. Cost isn't really an issue for me and the pens currently are formatted as a combined .25/.5 allowing for 8x .25 doses.

RaelImperialAerosolKid · 08/07/2026 12:14

I’m officially not obese for the first time in about 20 years. I’ve also started couch to 5k. I always hated exercise but I’m strangely enjoying it and feeling quite a sense of achievement. Figured out carrying an extra 3 stones of weight makes everything more difficult.

lechatnoir · 08/07/2026 12:24

Wow @RaelImperialAerosolKid that's something to be celebrated well done you. C25k is a great way to get started running but don't be afraid to repeat weeks - some do ramp up quite suddenly and it's tempting to just give up but repeat the week and then try and you'll get there. really well done that must be really motivating too

OP posts:
JumpingJacks11 · 08/07/2026 17:10

@lechatnoir yeah I’ve seen bits and pieces about the tablets, wouldn’t that be great, it would be much easier to tailor maintenance also I think.

I just got my 0.5 pen and it’s 37 clicks to 0.5 so counted and injected 20 clicks for now and will see how I go. I just need to order needles for the extra doses. It’s €200 for the pen for me so it makes it much more cost effective to be able to spread it over 8 weeks versus 4

MissMaz78 · 11/07/2026 00:11

How often should you increase your dose
