Weygovy April 26 starters

lechatnoir · 11/04/2026 19:16

I’ve finally taken the plunge and just ordered Wegovy from Asda pharmacy. All been well it should be ready for collection on Tuesday so it would be great to hear from anyone else who has just started or is about start their WLI/Weygovy journey.
I’m very nervous and haven’t told anyone, but I’ve just failed at my 3rd diet attempt this year and feeling horribly self-conscious about my weight and dreading the summer so just thought fuck it, I’m going to give it a go.

@MissMaz78 i haven’t. i’m somewhat content on .25mg. i’m neither hungry between meals or snacking although my portions have increased lately. i have zero side effects and like i said am pleased with the help in willpower i’m getting.

jabsahoy · 11/07/2026 15:03

Another lb off this week - scales did flicker down one more but settled on 12st4 so that's 15lb off for me in 13 weeks. I haven't noticed much more suppression with the 0.5 vs 0.25 but still hoping I can sneak into the 11s before hols in 4 weeks.

I think the weather is throwing me off kilter as think am not drinking enough to not be a bit "backed up" which don't think is helping weight loss. The weather is not helping fatigued DP and is really affecting his neurological condition which is making me less focused on dieting at the mo.

BreakingBroken · 11/07/2026 15:58

@jabsahoy for me life has slightly interfered with my weight loss/food/water choices.

JumpingJacks11 · 11/07/2026 17:00

@MissMaz78 I haven’t increased yet either, at 0.25 since mid April but I deff notice less suppression over the last 2 weeks, particularly the last 3 days I’ve felt v hungry in the 7-10 evening danger zone 😂 I’ve ate choc, crisps, jellies etc.. it’s the first time since April since I felt the desire for that stuff so I do think I might try even 0.4 next injection

Pairymoppins · 13/07/2026 17:29

Bit the bullet to reorder after the first three months and Voy have been an absolute nightmare, taking payment for an order they then cancelled but didn’t refund. Now I’m about to run out of supplies, £140 out of pocket and can’t get any sense out of them at all. When everything is standard their service is OK but it does make me wonder what the service is like if you have a serious issue on the meds and you might need more than vacuous pleasantries from the chat bot ?

lechatnoir · 14/07/2026 09:16

Oh that's really annoying @Pairymoppins have you managed to get past the chatbot and sort it yet? I had a hassle getting out of my contracts but eventually did get through to an actual person who sorted it for me.

Slow week for me - weigh in tomorrow but so far only showing 1lb down but it's obviously still doing something so sticking at the 0.5mg for now. I was at a party Friday with a buffet and looking back I was remarkedly restrained only having 1 normal size plate of food - I used to hover and graze all evening! Has anyone else lost their sweet tooth? I used to always want yogurt after a meal and a biscuit with my evening cuppa and just don't fancy them now. And I never used to drink anyway, much but my tolerance for alcohol is also much lower - 2 G&Ts and I'm done but equally happy with a lemonade.

And on the downside, despite thinking I was finally over the peri symptoms, my hot flushes returned when I started WLI and definitely worse now.

Pairymoppins · 14/07/2026 09:26

Thanks @lechatnoir a real person did pop up in the chat late last night and made some helpful noises but nothing sorted yet and I’m now back with the chatbot ‘Joy’ whose name is definitely ironic.

Anyway on the weight loss front I am 3.5 pounds down in July so far which is an average pace for me, feeling good and plan on sticking to 1mg if I can ever get the reorder sorted. I don’t have any return of peri symptoms but I do miss the oral progesterone since having to switch to the patch, as it used to really help me sleep.

Pairymoppins · 15/07/2026 15:39

Impossible to get restarted with Voy, not sure why they made such hard work of it, they just wouldn’t send the medication out. So as I am about to go on holiday I’m treating it as a two week experiment to see how much weight I can keep off without the jabs. If anyone can recommend a provider for me to try afterwards, preferably chat bot free, I’d be interested in sugggestions.

VividDeer · 15/07/2026 16:21

I'm with medexpress. Seem easy to deal with, but the chat is run by bots

I'm now a stone down on wegovy and 1 stone 10.5lbs overall. It's a bloody miracle

lechatnoir · 16/07/2026 10:42

I've moved from Voy to The Nulife pharmacy - much cheaper (91 for 0.5mg - no offer just same price each order) and it was all dispatched and arrived quickly. More basic than voy so no app or extras but so far so good. Can't comment on the help /chat bot things as I've not had to contact them outside my initial consultation.

Well done @VividDeer it's great isn't it - to anyone who doesn't struggle with their weight they probably just think why bother it's only a 1lb or 2 you could surely do that yourself, and in the past I have lost weight no problem, but I've been a year trying to shift it and it's only now it's coming off and I don't spend my days thinking about food!

@lechatnoir I might have to switch. Medexpress is £119

JumpingJacks11 · 17/07/2026 14:08

@Pairymoppins that’s what I did for holidays too and it was actually grand, still ended up losing, the only thing I would say is the week I came home and injected I deff had more hunger.

I did 20 clicks last week (roughly 0.27) and found myself hungry and eating more so did 25 clicks Tuesday night (roughly 0.34) and I have such strong suppression again, I must say it does feel nice to have it back and not be thinking about food so much.

@lechatnoir look at that drop in bmi, u must be so delighted 🎉🥳 I am still 15/16 pounds away from a ‘healthy’ bmi

@VividDeer that’s such great loss, u must notice it so much in clothes and just feeling better?

Pairymoppins · 17/07/2026 18:12

@JumpingJacks11 there’s no way I will lose weight on holidays I barely lose on the jabs as it is! But if I can maintain I’ll be happy and have registered with Numan to get back on track after.

I used the fancy scales at the gym the other day and they showed most of the 12 lbs I’ve lost was fat, so I’m happy with that too.

Ibwah · 18/07/2026 08:43

Hiya. I am still here and lurking and great to see all these loses. I am now finally losing about 1lb a week on 1mg. I am getting side effects like sulphur burps and a bit of the other end. I know I have suppression as it was my birthday and we went to a lovely restaurant and I only ate 3/4
of what I normally would and no dessert which is unheard of. Have ordered another pen at 1mg and am absolutely committed to seeing this through but I’ve had to get to this point as no effect from 0.25 or 0.5 which is likely due to my tolerance after having used Mounjaro last year!

JumpingJacks11 · 18/07/2026 10:03

@Pairymoppins u might be surprised, I never thought in a million yrs id have weight off after a holiday, like that I was just hoping I didn’t gain.

I weighed this morning and another 3 pounds off, delighted to be close to the 150’s now, maybe next week 🤞🏽

haven’t had anyone notice at all or ask if I’ve lost weight so mustn’t be too noticeable 😅

someone else mentioned wine/alcohol suppression, I deff notice this, I’m done after 1 glass of wine whereas I could have easily had 3/4 before. I rarely have a drink, maybe twice a month but just have no interest in it all anymore

Ibwah · 18/07/2026 18:45

@JumpingJacks11 since starting Mounjaro last year I am really off alcohol- even the 6 month gap between Mounjaro and restarting wegovy . I am not interested at all! (Shame it’s not like that for chocolate!)

jabsahoy · 19/07/2026 09:56

Hello folks, not caught up with you all for a while as feeling a bit despondent with it all now - basically only lost 2lbs in the last 4 weeks so only 15lbs off in 14 weeks, I have 1 jab left of the 0.5mg so going up a dose been no use so am back to slavishly tracking everything as of yesterday. Actually I say going up a dose has been no use, really I must just be overeating so only myself to blame really!

Interesting to read the last few comments about suppliers - I've been using medexpress and have a price match pending with them for my next order as found a supplier for £92 but might just switch to a cheaper one and go up a dose.

VividDeer · 19/07/2026 10:11

@jabsahoy that's a great loss overall *more than me) but sorry you are disappointed.
Thanks for tip on price match, I will try that for next order.

Ibwah · 19/07/2026 13:23

More than me too @jabsahoy !
I have found 1mg much better . I also need to change suppliers as I am with lotus and they are getting expensive

Pairymoppins · 19/07/2026 16:35

@jabsahoy I think 1mg is the first non ‘starter’ dose so might be worth a try? My weight loss is less than yours overall but when I saw how much of it was pure fat (according to gym scales) it gave me a massive boost.

jabsahoy · Yesterday 13:21

After yesterday's despondency, newly washed jeans shorts felt looser than last week so thought I'd humour myself by trying on old size 12 jeans from the bottom of the pile. They fit!!!! Oh and a lb off on the scales this morning after a good weekend tracking to 1300 cals/ day. So now 16lb off.

BreakingBroken · Today 03:41

umm i checked my graph, over the last two weeks i'm down 1.2 lbs.
I honestly thought i was making zero progress.

cw 161.4
gw 140
sw 186.6

less household stress than last month, i need to refocus.

VividDeer · Today 08:30

I'm 2lbs down this week which is my biggest loss. No rhyme or reason for it. Some weeks I tried harder and was static. Maybe effort accumulates, or just natural fluctuations.

VividDeer · Today 08:31

Ps. Holiday now, so will probably regain a good bit! But will jab before leaving so at least I won't be able to overeat too much!

lechatnoir · Today 09:24

Nice on @jabsahoy & @Pairymoppins those non-scale wins are nice aren't they. And happy holidays @VividDeer and if you jab before you go hopefully it won't be the usual disaster (I'm projecting but assume everyone here is much the same on holiday!)

25lb is HUGE progress @BreakingBroken slow and steady is clearly working for you.

Not a great week for me - out for pizza, chinese takeaway and BBQ/buffet plus more drinking than usual as we've been at the pub watching football 3 nights this week! Not expecting a loss this week and initially was annoyed thinking the WLI weren't doing anything BUT at the BBQ I just had 1 normal size plate and no return visit (unheard of!) , takeaway I had 1 noodle dish & a piece of chicken no extras no trying a bit of everyone's and drinking ,it was 2 or 3 vodka & diet coke's vs 3-4 before plus often a glass of wine at the end and likely some crisps. So whilst I clearly still need to keep eating healthily and avoid alcohol to lose weight, there is still a huge difference when compared to my old eating habits.
