I’ve finally taken the plunge and just ordered Wegovy from Asda pharmacy. All been well it should be ready for collection on Tuesday so it would be great to hear from anyone else who has just started or is about start their WLI/Weygovy journey.
I’m very nervous and haven’t told anyone, but I’ve just failed at my 3rd diet attempt this year and feeling horribly self-conscious about my weight and dreading the summer so just thought fuck it, I’m going to give it a go.

Hey everyone, A bit of a slow week for some of us it sounds and much the same for me too. We had a birthday that seemed to go on for days and whilst I didn't eat quite as much as before, I certainly won't be losing anything this week so maybe dropping even that tiny amount (0.4) makes a difference so will be back up to full dose tomorrow and hope I can navigate the 2 meals out we have planned.
I really need to up my protein - I don't usually track anything but did yesterday and only hit 45g which is pitiful and probably means my diet is too high in fat 7 carbs.

@lechatnoir deff a slower week for me too, seem to have less than a pound off. Heading off on holidays tomorrow so doing injection now this evening but going by today (I’ve been starving, eating more than normal & feel bloated) it’ll last the week and no more so I can see me coming back with weight on 🫣 oh well July and Aug will be 2 good focused months. I’m just gona enjoy holidays and not worry about it

lechatnoir · 16/06/2026 16:51

Have a great time @JumpingJacks11 very envious.

Well jab & weigh-in day and turn out I dropped another 1lb this week after all which hits the magic 1 stone mark. It's been 2 months since I started but most of that was the last 5 weeks since being on 0.5mg and I feel great - minimal if any SE and whilst the suppression isn't huge ( I can comfortably eat a normal size meal) it is enough to stop me overeating & stops me thinking about food constantly so I can keep on track of what I think is fairly normal intake without all the extra shit I was eating. Oh, and my clothes are definitely starting to feel a bit looser.

Any other weigh-in updates?

3.8 lbs down since last wednesday but i had a couple weeks of little to no movement despite solid exercise and good food choices. .1 off the 20 lb mark.
i'm looking forward to being out of the 60's.

not sure if it was the swimming or the household health crisis that got this weight shifted but it's welcomed after a few intense hikes and walks.

itsallabouttobegin · 18/06/2026 02:30

Lovely to see it’s working for so many of us. Another 1lb off for me so also at 20lb and hoping to get another 1lb this week for my 1.5st and into new stone bracket. Once I’m in the 14s I think I’ll start to feel/see a difference. For now everything is feeling more comfortable and 1-2 things I’ve bought more recently a bit too big but still pretty much in same size - just less stretched!

HRTnewbie · 18/06/2026 09:39

Hi all. I haven't checked in for ages. Intentionally as I noticed i was slower than some and wanted to keep my own motivation going.

You are all doing so well! I'm so impressed (and a little jealous by some numbers!)

I moved up to the 1 pen. Its more effective for me. But ive been a bit wiped out so less exercise. I'm sticking here next pen. Really looking forward to being under 11 stone 10 as this will be the lightest in years.

HRTnewbie · 18/06/2026 09:58

Just checked back actually started at 12 stone 10. So 12 pounds since April. I had hope it would he a little faster. I did however, have my birthday during this period and so had a couple of weeks not worrying too much about it. What was great was I didn't gain (or of course loose) during this time, so could pick it up again straight after.

I think I have the slowest weight loss here, a couple of whooshes followed by stable weight for two weeks or more. My target weight is still above healthy BMI but hopefully more realistic.

i jabbed 1mg for the first time yesterday and the appetite suppression is very strong, I haven’t got any appetite at all. Hoping it wears off a little over the weekend as I have a busy social weekend and it will likely be noticed.

HRTnewbie · 18/06/2026 19:32

@Pairymoppins we are pretty similar. I had a big loss at the start (6lbs) then very slow.

Has anyone noticed an increase of anxiety? I think its due to slightly raised heart rate. But every evening I feel more anxious than normal x

I have! I mentioned this on the May starters thread. I think it may be because I’m not eating emotionally anymore, so having to feel the anxiety that I used to suppress that way. It’s not great but also I think it’s better to feel it and address it than to use food as comfort, so seeing it as progress in a way.

HRTnewbie · 19/06/2026 12:57

I agree, but its really hard. I had a stressful day yesterday and I felt awful. Pleased it isnt just me. I keep thinking that actually I'm working too hard, so i am not going myself enough time to unwind. Weirdly perhaps thats something I need to sort out if I don't want to put all the weight back on after!

jabsahoy · 21/06/2026 08:07

Hit the stone off today, been going 10 weeks, slow and steady would seem to be my way. Apart from one week where I stayed the same, its been a loss every week and am still on 0.25mg.

It's payday this week so am going to up it to 0.5mg on my next order as I had a payrise and my beach summer holiday is round the corner.

BreakingBroken · 21/06/2026 16:30

Anxiety wise I’m so calm! Not focused on meals and snacks. Shifted that mental space to movement (more so than “exercise”).
Again I joined my neighbor for early am swim; 0700 this time…45 minutes of a lane to myself.

BreakingBroken · 24/06/2026 05:19

Dh’s health crisis last week still has us on pins and needles. I’ve found myself more than once in the pantry nibbling. I’m NOT hungry, it’s purely driven by stress and eating “something” to change what ever I’m thinking of.
It’s way less than without WLI’s. Swam again today and I did a good cardio walk yesterday. Steps 10-16K per day, water probably not quite enough.

lechatnoir · 24/06/2026 11:47

@BreakingBroken sorry to hear things have been so tough. And whilst you still turned to food, good it wasn't with quite as bad as previously. I'm definitely with you on upping the water intake. I've recently started making myself start the day with a large glass of water first and don't let myself have my morning coffee until it's done - it's not much but seems to help me remember to drink more through the day too.
Injection today back at the 0.5mg as I've noticed more snacking creeping back in and a couple of meals out haven't been great with less control over bread/portions so my reduction down to 0.4mg clearly isn;t the answer. Had an inevitable gain this week which is my first so going to try and track ofr the next few days too get me back into the better habits I'd managed to adopt (I don't normally track just eat sensibly and only when hungry).

lechatnoir · 24/06/2026 11:56

Just remembered I have some extra left in my pen as I started on a lower dose so I’ve actually done 5.1 today and hoping that slight increase helps and have 1 more full dose and 0.3mg left to play with next week if I still feel the need to go up.

Ibwah · 24/06/2026 14:47

Hiya - I am still at it but have done my
last 0.5
om Sunday. Not feeling much. Really hoping 1mg will be the turning point.

Voltefarce · 24/06/2026 18:44

@Ibwah I’m the same - moving up to 1mg next jab, and if that doesn’t work I’ll perhaps try Mounjaro.

Ibwah · 24/06/2026 18:55

@Voltefarce i have previously been on Mounjaro and lost 2 stone but had awful side effects and it was too expensive .

itsallabouttobegin · 25/06/2026 00:45

Another 2lb down for me so 1st 8lb now. Couldn’t remember what day I jabbed last week so went for yesterday. Feeling quite hungry tonight - I work nights but didn’t fancy eating much in the heat earlier

cafenoirbiscuit · 25/06/2026 08:11

Im 5kg down, but im now a bit stuck - and the biscuit tin has called me over the past few days. I’ve been on .5 for about 8 weeks but I felt pretty grim when I went there from .25. Has anyone done .75 rather than jump to 1?

lechatnoir · 25/06/2026 09:09

@cafenoirbiscuit no but I did a mid way one when I went from 0.25 too 0.5 and plan to do the same again. It also means now I'm coming to the end of the pen and suppression is reducing I've got a bit spare if I need it.

Sounds like there's a few of us that expected more suppression from Wygovy - I started 2 months ago and thought I'd be a good 1.5st down by now. I've got a wedding in 3 weeks and the outfit I planned on wearing is still way too small and no hope of properly fitting into in time now. Slightly frustrating considering the expense.

Been watching since the beginning as I also started in April (27th!).
SW: 70.8kg
CW: 63.3kg
GW: 60kg

Don't have a lot to lose and liking it going down slowly as feels like it might stay off (wishful thinking). My problem is that my peri meno body would not lose weight despite doing every diet under the sun.

Currently on 0.5 (first week on it down) after doing 2 months on 0.25.
Think I need to up my protein game though.

VividDeer · 27/06/2026 09:07

I have had a few unexpected pounds drop off. Unexpected as its been a very bad week with birthday weekend, meals out, drinking, chocolate etc.
I think maybe eating less overall has caught up with me.

It's costing me £60 per month so I guess I'm one of the lucky ones (taking half dose as still on 0.25 from 0.5 pen).

Bmi close to normal now. I haven't lost it just on wegovy (less than a stone), but was dieting since January. People not commenting still although it must be very obvious as I've shrunk 😀. I'm very short and probably gone from size 14-16 to size 10 since Jan 1st. I never thought I could do it!

Sorry if boasting, but might inspire others to take the leap.
