I’ve finally taken the plunge and just ordered Wegovy from Asda pharmacy. All been well it should be ready for collection on Tuesday so it would be great to hear from anyone else who has just started or is about start their WLI/Weygovy journey.
I’m very nervous and haven’t told anyone, but I’ve just failed at my 3rd diet attempt this year and feeling horribly self-conscious about my weight and dreading the summer so just thought fuck it, I’m going to give it a go.

today i'm out of the obese category and now into overweight bmi.
28.7 lbs to go to be within the normal range.

it's also suppose to be my injection day, i will play it be ear based on my food choices and how tempted i am to make poor ones. saturday doesn't work well for jabbing (early am rise, full day at the market) so if not today then sunday.

how's everyone else getting along with the meds/food/exercise etc?

Voltefarce · 05/06/2026 18:26

I am finding that I cannot eat a full meal, but there has been very little impact on my bored snacking. I am 1.2kg down in 5 weeks, have been on 0.5mg for one jab. I had expected a little more impact, but hopefully that will come.

Ibwah · 05/06/2026 18:46

Hi @Voltefarce i am the same. Cannot eat a full meal but snacking and food noise is still
very much present!

jabsahoy · 06/06/2026 06:20

2lb off this week so decided to stay at 0.25mg (was going to double jab). I am 11lb down in 8 weeks, happy with that as feels like it might be sustainable. Hoping for same again before summer hols. I'd still be obese by bmi but better than I was. My "alternative" celebration this week is that am now into the 70kgs! Hopefully never see the 80s again!

Well I got my period unexpectedly (hormone treatment), so that probably explains my week of no loss. Must keep plodding on.
I also read that your weight fluctuates more on WLI than via traditional diets. Water retention, change in digestion etc.

I do weigh every day and now I'm on wegovy I try and see the bigger picture. Wish I could dump the scales, but I'm rather dependent on them

Jab #7 yesterday evening (the house was peaceful).
2 lbs down over the week.
still on .25mg
SW 186.6
CW 167.9
GW 140
next mini target is 166.6 the 20lb loss mark.
zero side effects.
My struggle though is balanced food choices; hitting the protein and fiber goals within my 1100 cal suggested range.

Wow you’re all doing well. I went up to 0.5 yesterday. Put in 2lb this week but I had very sore DOMs and apparently this can add a few pounds as you retain water. Went paddle boarding and ran 5km

BreakingBroken · 08/06/2026 21:04

@Ibwah yes dom's certainly do and large muscles like glutes can hold a lot of water!! potassium (potatoes and banana's help shift that water weight). paddle boarding once in my life is on my bucket list. my walking workouts are much more modest but it's working.

you're workouts will pay off in spades, good bones and lots of lean muscle.

Ibwah · 08/06/2026 22:29

@BreakingBroken thanks. I will say that I feel like I’ve finally got change in appetite being on 0.5mg. Feel very full and just don’t fancy much.

today 15st 1.5lb, BMI 38.6
Lost 1st 5lb/19lb in 8 weeks

3lb off this week despite a weekend of camping and little control over what was available to eat as everybody pitched in. Helped by vomiting bug Sunday night though so I’ve waited extra days to weigh.

Im going to stay on 0.25 for a 3rd month. Still happy with that added bit of control it gives me. Had GP appt week re my dodgy knee and going to increase the exercise now
