Hi starting mounjaro this week is there a thread already set up I can join?

During this summer personally (not a scientist or anything to do with mounjaro so nothing official) I would definitely keep in the fridge if we get anything like the heatwave of last week. There'll be a temperature range and I bet the over plus temps are higher than it should be kept.

Had a hell of a week last week and the plus side of it is 4 and a half pounds off! Very happy with that. Next week it will be 2 months since I started and so far in that time I've lost 1 stone 9lbs can hardly believe it!

Thanks @ScreamingDelight that makes sense!

According to Google the pens should be used within 30 days of the first use, if I micro dose a 5mg pen it'd take 7 weeks to use it all - has anyone done this and noticed a difference for the last 2 weeks after the 30 days is up?

keep it in the fridge.
take it out to jab as fast as possible and put it back in.
The use by date is on the pen - thats the only thing which needs checking, and

The 30 days is IF YOU KEEP IT OUT OF THE FRIDGE. and dont even start me on 'there is no medicine left in that last bit - tell me how the medicine part of the solution knew to jump up into the needle that last 4 doses so that its just water left in the pen. Its rubbish and not true. If it separated in some kind of way we would be being told to shake the pen vigorously to make sure its equally distributed, but you couldnt have a product which seperated a solution like that when you are giving crucially significant doses.
The excess is to allow for people being rubbish taking it, over priming, etc. maybe even fucking up a whole dose.

The only consideration is that you must be scrupulous with cleaning and only ever use a brand new sealed needle to avoid contamination

But there is no difference in someone having several needles in their fridge, or them waiting to be prescribed in a fridge in a pharmacy

MyGardenDaisies · 01/06/2026 13:16

Just ordered 4th pen ahead of time - saw it was only 104£ for 2.5mg, so that’s weeks 13-16 sorted. I like having jabs already so I know I can definitely have the supply/afford it for a period of time.

Has anyone else used the MeThreeSixty scan app? Awful to be stood there whilst it scans you but a good visual aid.

twig1234 · 02/06/2026 09:16

Hi all, I’ve moved up to 0.5 as did not really have much of an impact with lower dose. Does anyone find they feel very fatigued?

thinkofsomethingdifferent · 02/06/2026 09:20

Morning all, it’s the day before jab day and I’m so hungry. It’s a strange feeling as I’ve not been hungry at all for weeks. This will be jab number 12 for me, 7th on the 5mg and thankfully symptoms have settled down. I think I’ll be sticking to the 5 going forward. I see a 2lb loss weekly and although the day after jab day is a little iffy, the results are outweighing the negatives.

Sorry to hear you have been feeling iffy though - do you mind telling me how and whether it was manageable? I am planning to go to 5 this Friday and a little apprehensive.

thinkofsomethingdifferent · 02/06/2026 10:22

@custardloverthe day after jab day I’m a vomiting mess. Completely knocks me out and I end up in bed. But process of elimination has made me realise that this is fully down to what I’m eating on that day. First time I had a curry (never again), second time it was a roast dinner and the roast potatoes were clearly too greasy. So now I eat something very bland on jab day and it’s become a lot more manageable. The suppression tbough is full on. I do often have to force myself to eat, which is why it’s quite a novelty to feel hungry today.

MyGardenDaisies · 02/06/2026 11:46

@twig1234
I am super fatigued on 5mg so moving back down to 2.5mg when I use up my pen.

Also statistically I’m actually averaging 30kcal more on 5mg and weight loss pace has remained the same. I don’t find the suppression any different. Maybe it’s only been more constant through the menstrual cycle versus on 2.5mg I had to put decent willpower in during PMS.

Cost plays a role for me too, and the fatigue, so I rather stay on 2.5mg

Z0rr0 · 02/06/2026 15:53

I’ve been getting a lot of leg pains in my muscles but these usually go if I remember to take my multivitamin, so perhaps that’s causing fatigue for you?

TFICoffeetime · 02/06/2026 16:15

Really pleased just been approved to move to 7.5mg. I have one 5mg left. So will move up next week. I'm hoping side effects are ok. But I'm excited in that hoping for the loss at the start of the titration which will help me get near target. X

I was super fatigued on 5mg but by the third dose I didn't feel fatigued even on day 1. Normally I feel it for few days. It so strange how some days it affects. I definitely think menstrual cycles & hormones really interact with it. I think if in doubt always best to move down. X

The first day after taking my first 5mg dose I was absolutely knackered! It was just the first dose though - it's fine now.

Why dont you just use 30 clicks of your 5mg pen to take 2.5mg

PuppyKeep · 02/06/2026 17:38

Ladies, I am one month behind you - can I ask you some questions please?

Question 1
How much weight have you lost so far? 😄

Question 2
How is your sleep? I've been on MJ for 5 days now, starting dose, and my sleep has been terrible every day :(

Question 3
How was your appetite for the 4 weeks you were on the starting dose? Mine has started coming back hard today, only 5 days in. I'm pretty disappointed.

Question 4
How did you find transitioning to 5mg?

Thank you all! 🙌

I started on 7th April, have lost 17lbs so far, and thats with a week All Inclusive holiday in between times.
I can’t say I’ve noticed any issues with sleep, but mines has always been rubbish.
i sometimes get hungry around 5-6 days after the jab, I believe this is normal. You should, hopefully, be able to curb the hunger with meals/snacks within deficit.

I’ve just bought my 3rd pen, first two at 2.5mg and this one at 5mg. The only reason I bought 5 was to save some money and plan on counting clicks so still staying on 2.5, just my pen will last longer x

MyGardenDaisies · 02/06/2026 19:30

@ScreamingDelight I am not familiar with clicks. My pen doesn’t click haha do you mean the little lines?
Ive already taken 4x5mg weeks, so can do the remaining 4 I had purchased , then have got 2.5mg lined up for July.

@PuppyKeep
-9.8kg in 7 weeks
sleep wasn’t affected my MJ
on 2.5mg appetite was same as on 5mg, sometimes hormones or emotions would increase it
5mg - all the same just tired

I have lost 1stone 7lbs, have had 7 doses, six of 2.5 one of 3.75.
My sleep has been dreadful for years, so no worse, but I did have crazy intense dreams the first couple of weeks.
Appetite has come back a bit most weeks in the last couple of days before my jab. Although suppression seemed to build up over a few weeks.
I haven't yet increased to 5mg, and will delay increasing my dose as long as the dose I am on is still working

TFICoffeetime · 03/06/2026 08:42

Hi @PuppyKeep

  1. I have lost 16 lbs but due another weigh in this week. I have had 7 injections so far. 4 x 2.5, 3 x5mg.
  2. Sleep was really affected early on. A couple of us found we were having really vivid dreams but this calmed down for me once my body was used to it.
  3. Appetite suppression seems different for everyone but for a few including me.... it's strong for the first few days after the jab then tailors right down.
  4. Glad I did, it gave me a needed boost to loss. But I did feel more tired and stronger digestive symptoms. I am due to take my last 5mg this week. I am moving to 7.5mg next week.

Good luck. Just try not to compare too much. The main thing is we are all loosing on here. Some loose well on 2.5 and titrate more slowly, some need to titrate regularly. The key is to stay as comfortable as you can whilst still loosing. Everyone has their own goals so it's nice to celebrate people's losses or come for a cheer up when the scales don't move one week. Everyone has experienced the ups and downs. But you can see it is majoritively worth it. X

turning to pen to 1 for a full dose is 60 clicks, turn the dial and count, the small click sound as you twist. So 30 clicks on a 5mg pen will be half a dose so 2.5mg

I have lost 17lb after 9 injections. I did one pen of 2.5 and then went 5 as I wasn't getting much appetite suppression. Tbh I'm still not getting loads of appetite suppression, not like the people who say they feel really full, but it seems to be enough as I'm losing weight, so I'm happy to stay with 5 for the moment. My sleep does seem worse than usual but no other side effects.

NorthDevonBeachLover · 04/06/2026 09:12

Feeling a bit disappointed this morning, first week where I haven't lost any weight at all. Was planning on upping my dose tonight to 3.75mg so that's come at a good time!

22sra · 04/06/2026 09:36

I’ve had a couple of static weeks with minimal weight loss, and weight gain until the day before the next jab is due. But I seem to be back on track now so I put it down to hormones, my cycle and travel.
I’m down 6.9kg so far since 26th April (6 doses including golden dose). So just over a stone. I’m now just into the overweight category, rather than obese.
The hunger is there which I have to remind myself is normal. I still need to fuel my body. It’s less easy to pick high protein options but we push on!
I will stay on 2.5, as I get headaches already when I don’t drink enough and I’m exhausted. So I think moving up to 5 wouldn’t be good for me personally.

TFICoffeetime · 04/06/2026 12:15

@NorthDevonBeachLover
I know the feeling. It's rubbish when you don't loose or not as much as hoped. I weighed myself this morning. I wasn't due to weigh until tomorrow and I've lost 0.6 of a lb. I was gutted.
So I jabbed a day early & luckily my next order has arrived. I'm moving up a dose too.
So just know that a higher dose will kick start it again. I remind myself it's a medication and the body will develop a degree of tolerance otherwise they would only sell 2.5mg. A few v lucky people who are sensitive loose weight on low amounts but I was told that it is designed to be stacked in line with your body's response. So you clearly need the 3.75 & if weight loss is not moving on that I would go straight to 5. You could end up loosing twice as much as normal next week. So stay positive 🤞
