I had my 3rd jab on Monday, it is definitely not working as well as it did the first week. The snackiness is definitely back, and the feeling of fullness etc is not so strong.

The diarreah is relentless, every day, several times a day, everything goes straight through me. I have been reading online and it seems like it might stop after a few weeks, so fingers crossed.

I have still only lost around 1kg in 3 weeks. I spoke to the nurse, and jab 4 should be on Monday, but she has switched me to 5mg, so jab 1 of that will be Monday instead. I hope that the diarreah doesn't get worse.

Blimey, that's tough. Fingers crossed things get better for you.

Ilovepeas175 · 09/05/2026 09:04

Hey everyone, I took my 5th dose from my 1st pen, using an insulin syringe I bought using a link from mumsnet somewhere. It was fairly easy to do.
i have moved jab day to coincide with my holiday next week as I don’t want to take it away, so planning on taking it when I get back, which will be 2 days late (which I think is ok?). My weigh day is Tuesday but had a sneaky peek yesterday and I’ve not lost anything. This is so disheartening after a 0.5lb loss last week, and 1lb the week before. I have very minimal side effects, no food noise & don’t feel hungry. Based on this I’m assuming it’s best to stay on 2.5mg but would really like to get a steady 1.5-2lbs a week loss. We’re AI on holiday but hoping with the suppression, gains will be minimal if any. I could probably do with upping protein, but just not hungry so I’m struggling to get any more than 100g per day.
any thoughts/tips? X

MyGardenDaisies · 09/05/2026 09:10

Morning!

My current stats:
week 1 -3.5kg
week 2 -0.2kg
week 3 -1.5kg
week 4 -0.9kg (so far after 5 days)
total -6.1kg 🤩 -20kg total with what I had lost on my own!!
my OH says they can see it and I fit in some pre pregnancy jeans today!

starting 5mg on Monday but suppression has been great this week. Perhaps before it was PMS and period messing with me ? Maybe 2.5mg is enough , we shall see!

ElvisandAngel · 09/05/2026 10:14

In Week 1 I lost 10lbs and in Week 2 I have not lost anything at all and stayed exactly the same. I have been really careful all week so I am a bit disappointed. I know this can be normal but I am just a bit disheartened.

10lbs is amazing, i have lost 10lbs in 4 weeks. You do not want to lose too quickly either. Your body will possibly be playing catch up this week. Think long term results

Thank you and yes I know you are right and I really don’t want problems with sagging skin or hair loss.

From what i have witnessed, those who have hair loss are often not eating very much, hence huge losses, and therefor not eating a lot of protein either. This is just my own observations.

NettleTea · 09/05/2026 12:21

I am with Bolt at the moment. Im due my 3rd dose tomorrow and have lost about 4kg so far. Ive just had the review and have ordered a 5mg pen but may count clicks to carry on at 2.5mg for a while, as well as getting my golden dose from the original pen. My new 5mg wont come until the week of the 4th dose.

I told them my hunger was moderate, as thought that might allow me to buy the higher dose, and if the hunger starts to kick in I can up it to the 5 anyway. I want to lose slowly and steadily but because of my lymphodema its the anti inflammatory properties that are going to be the longterm benefits - although of course once the weight comes off, that will help support that too.

The lymphodema clinician told me to keep low. The lymphodema community are microdosing once its under control, and are finding that maybe 2.5 or 5mg only needs to be taken every 10-14 days. But I do want to get that weight off too, desperately.

Changingplace · 09/05/2026 19:59

Jab three tomorrow, weighed myself just now and I’ve lost nothing at all this week, but stupidly I didn’t weigh myself before I started and I definitely feel like I’ve snacked on unnecessary crap less so I’m not going to be too downhearted.

NeedSleepNowPls · 10/05/2026 08:33

I really need to order my 2nd pen today as I need it to arrive on Tuesday ideally as that's my day at home! I've been struggling to decide which to get but think I'll stay at 2.5 for a other month. So far I lost
W1 - 6lbs
W2 - 1.5lbs
W3 - 1lb
The losses definitely slowed down but I'm still mostly feeling the suppression so think it's user error 😅 I definitely haven't been hitting my water or protein targets so will try another pen with more effort with those things and see how it goes! And if not move up to 5mg next time

22sra · 10/05/2026 09:08

Jab 3 this evening. Feeling fine. Just pretty tired so I’ve been going to bed earlier than usual, which is great as typically I’m a night owl. Down 4.2kg/9.25lbs in two weeks. Keep going everyone!

NettleTea · 10/05/2026 10:14

week 3 jab this morning, week 2 weigh in. I have lost 1.3 lbs / 0.6 kg so still a downward, even though after week 1 I was hoping I guess for a little more. Its all good though, its going down, and Im in for the long haul. it looks like this is a usual pattern though.

I know I need to up my water intake so will try to address that this week

Isabelle70 · 10/05/2026 11:12

EducatingEater · 27/04/2026 12:55

Had fourth jab today of 2.5mg, there was the same left again so I forced the pen to keep twisting round until it got back to the 1 and injected again as I'm due to start 5mg next week and figured that I'd be naughty and start it today instead.

I'm 5lb off this week and that's 11 in total so far. I wish it was still Friday's weight when I had a sneaky weigh in as I went to family for the weekend to help out and the meals were not of my choosing so I thought I'd have a try before hand to see what it says. It was 13.8 off then 😂 but given that I've been more active, not drunk as much water and my knees are swollen and painful because of it as well as a mcdonalds Fri evening and pizza (only three slices) Saturday etc and a small handful of haribo (about 12 sweets) on Sunday with a film I'm happy with 5lb off for the week, especially as it will now start to calm as my body has shed its initial "wtf are you doing woman?" weight and will be into actual fat loss. (hopefully!)

Took the 5mg today too because I am going to be recovering from the weekend (more active, family stresses as we come to terms with things, not sleeping above 5 hours over three nights because of having to be with the children when they woke l/listening for them etc) means recovering today and I'm feeling a little jetlag so hopefully an easy day will mean that the 5mg isn't such a wallop to my system as it might be on a normal day.

So that was 3 2.5mg doses that were tolerated well, no side effects. Today it's 1 5mg dose in total.

Hope everyone else is managing well. I also recommend nutracheck over my fitness pal as its a UK company so most of the foods are already on the database and have been verified where they aren't on mfp because it's community added. Also happy to send referral codes if you pm me and want one. It often has sign up deals too around holidays. I signed up at easter when it was 29.99 and they do similar over summer and Christmas etc too.

Would you have a referral code for Nutracheck you could share please.

MyGardenDaisies · 10/05/2026 11:31

I have had my first couple of NSV - can fit in 2 of my old trousers so I’m down from UK 24 to UK20!
Nice to “shop my own wardrobe” as I really don’t want to invest any more in clothes until I’m at maintenance size.

That is amazing, well done! Hopefully there are lots more bits you unearth whilst sorting through? I have a few bits I've ordered in smaller sizes or picked up on charity shops to come down into and never have... Can't wait for the chance to do it!

Huge congratulations @MyGardenDaisies !

Jab number 5 today, and I am going to try and get the extra dose out. Suppression is still super high, even at this stage of the week so I am sticking with 2.5. I have my period, which for the first time in ages came on schedule and no chocolate cravings! It's an actual miracle. I was unfathomably tired the day before it started though, could barely get out of bed, luckily it wasn't a work day.

I am back to doing yoga daily (well most days, even if it's just 10 minutes) and I am already feeling more flexible and a little bit stronger. Walking daily too.

When I started I logged everything I ate, in the voy ap, but I really don't want to have to track forever, it started to feel a bit stressful, and I could feel myself getting a bit obsessive, so I am now trying the mechanical eating approach, three meals a day and a high protein snack mid afternoon. Making sure my meals are centered around protein and fibre, and including some wholegrain carbs. I seem to be losing at the same rate with this approach, and it feels more sustainable.

Week 1 loss 8lb
Week 2 loss 1.9lbs
Week 3 loss 2.5lbs
Week 4 loss 2lbs
So total loss from the first pen has been 1stone and 1lb.
Although I still have an extra dose to take, so pretty good value for money for those results I reckon.

I am delighted. Fitting back into some of my clothes I hadn't worn for months, and have a choice of what to wear at last! Had been living in the same two pairs of trousers all winter.

I still have a way to go, but feel like I have a real chance of hitting my target by my birthday now.

@pomegranatepie , that’s really great, encouraging news, well done.

anchoviesanchovies · 11/05/2026 08:24

4 lbs off this morning so that’s 1 st 1 lb in 3 weeks which I’m very happy with. First 2 weeks I found it really easy to eat really healthily but this week I’ve been slipping a bit so up to 5mg next week.

pomegranatepie · 11/05/2026 09:06

I managed to get the fifth dose out really easily, just forced the pen round to the 1 position, and used an extra needle (I bought a box as intend to dose 2.5 out of a 5 pen).

MyGardenDaisies · 11/05/2026 09:29

Morning!

Just did the 5th jab, went up to 5mg. Will see if I am still with no negative side effects on this or should I go back to 2.5mg and just put more effort in myself around PMS time 😅

I used Chat GPT to create a table with predicted weight loss by week and looks like I should be finished at the end of the year. Then plan to taper down in January

22sra · 11/05/2026 10:13

@pomegranatepieIs it easy to force the pen round to the 1 again for the 5th dose? I see lots of talk of the 5th dose, but I wasn’t going to bother as didn’t want to buy extra syringes.

MyGardenDaisies · 11/05/2026 10:46

I didn’t bother with the “golden dose” as just didnt want to experiment with the doses. My new pen I just used is the new type, so no excess fluid.
