Thanks @HeidiLite , it is odd, I stayed somewhere for more than a decade because I kept being unsuccessful at interview. Came very close a number of times. I've been offered four jobs in the last year and have ultimately increased my salary. I need to settle down now and find some stability.

I do think it is great to have somewhere for teens if you can make the room. Two school year friend groups know that the Pitstop house has an open door, various streaming subscriptions and a meal if required. I think it really helped with building strong friendships, not just for my own kids.

I've got my own reception room so it has been easy, I can't see your AI photo, but mine is just a reception room, not their own space, two sofas, an armchair and a big footstool that three of them can sit on if they want to so seating for 9, plus the floor!

Food 😫, I spent £45 two nights ago and that was a shop just because there were five students here, £33 for them! I am not counting really, it won't last forever and I've always loved the fact that they use the house.

mine used to be the house they congregated in - a bit less now but still fairly often and dds boyfriend is here a good 50% of the time (but he tidies up after himself so he can stay).

i am mega grumpy - had a fairly crappy drs appointment. I wasn’t expecting much and it started off quite positive but she then convinced herself that me taking mj and biotin has created artificially bad results. Biotin yes which is why I stopped it but never heard than mj had that effect. Also because my heart rate wasn’t that high when she took it, there is no rush to get me seen (she didn’t really engage when I explained the other symptoms which really are having an impact. So I am waiting for her to check with the endocrinologist for a plan.

that's annoying - pretty sure MJ and biotin don't have any effect on thyroid antibodies, so really odd they don't see the need to deal with that ASAP.

But doctors don't know everything. A friend of mine was prescribed wegovy by her GP and the doc clearly had a very vague idea about WLI. First claimed wegovy is more efficient and with fewer side effects than MJ, then gave totally incorrect storage advice and when friend wanted to swap to MJ due to side effects, said it's all the same and won't make a difference.

Sorry your appointment wasn't a success @myladyjane, let's hope the consultant makes a difference.

I've got one of those diffusers you put a bottle of oil into @HeidiLite . You could plug something in down there to make it smell gorgeous (in between teens) and add some nice lighting.

I was thinking about my earlier post while I was driving. Four years of no job offers > lose five stone in weight > one year with four job offers. I'm pretty sure there's a link of sorts even though my weight loss doesn't make a difference to my intellect, attitude, capability or output!

Well we are pitched up in the grounds of Belvoir Castle for the steam fair and while yesterday’s drive was horrific this morning looks bright. Our friends decided not to travel yesterday so will decide whether to join us this morning. I hope they do.

DS2 is considering wegovy tablets and has had a long chat with me about the whole business. One of his friends has been on them but gave up due to the side effects. I’ve suggested that he holds on for decent supplies of foundayo to be around as it seems more user friendly but I’ve also offered to do jabs for him if he prefers. He will definitely qualify. He’s a big lad, masses of muscle but a big belly so I’m leaving him to decide.

@Jins , yes, well remembered, tricky. I'm pretty sure that the interim feels the same way after only a week. 😬 I'm over it already tbh. I have really shifted my thinking since leaving the job I stayed too long at, my job is now very firmly just a job that funds my life - I sort of still enjoy it, but also feel a bit like .... roll on retirement.

I'm heading that way today for a couple of days with friends and have been checking the forecast - not too bad, today is the worst day of the week, so I hope you are there for longer than today.

I haven't looked into the pills, are they just once a day? That would be manageable for most people wouldn't it.

Sorry to hear the medical issues @myladyjane. It is worth exploring further. My endocrinologist gave me the best advice tbh.

Absolutely shattered this morning. Had to do a midnight dash to the airport to collect stranded DD and didn’t get to bed until 2:30. Am hoping to have an afternoon nap later.

I have gained a couple of pounds which isn’t the end of the world, but gosh it shows so much when you are smaller! I’m going to inject 7.5 today instead of 5mg and see how I go.

I am on the Oushk Conti plan after a maintenance call with them. Allegedly I can call them in three months when my stash is “gone” and order a 10mg. In truth I will still have plenty of product due to microdosing but I needed to do something to ensure I wasn’t put back on 2.5 when current stash expires.

Hopefully this makes sense?! Not sure if you have a BH weekend @HeidiLite but Happy BH to everyone.

No BH here. I do have friend's 50th this evening and gosh how much more fun is it to choose the outfits. Hmm should I go for this tight mini dress, or how about that sleeveless one to show off my arms? Not 'let's see what I can squeeze into and not look totally like a sausage.'
Have also put on a couple of pounds but luckily they seem to have gone to my backside. Have done a lot of glute training and the improvement of the pancake look is quite remarkable.

@HeidiLite i have a ‘den’ at home. It’s the converted basement/cellar and has a door to outside. We’ve used it as various things over the years including a play room and a den. Right now it’s a wfh office and spare en-suite bedroom for guests. Highly recommend! Also, I love those IKEA chairs- they are amazing such a cool vibe

Has anyone found their medication possibly loses potency if you are being norty and taking a small dose from a 15mg pen?

I was maintaining nicely for a long time on 5mg but the last couple of weeks, coinciding with the last dregs of the pen, I have really noticed my appetite ramping up.

I injected 7.5 last night and feel a bit more like normal.

Anyone experiencing this or heard about it elsewhere?

Evening all, hope you’re all ok! I’m currently on holiday at my mum‘s in Switzerland. Great weather, spending lots of time at the open air swimming pool, going for hikes in the countryside, all very relaxing.
But I’m getting a bit worried that the 5 mg dose isn’t working… I find myself eating more, snacking more, and noticing more food noise again, ugh. Pretty sure I’ve put on weight, sigh. I do have a good buffer zone, but I’d much rather hover around the same weight, than getting big ups and downs around it like a rollercoaster.
Will need to see how getting back home to our regular routine will help (we don’t eat Raclette at home that often, so that should help 😂)
Might go back up to 7.5 mg again, but I would prefer to be able to maintain more easily and eventually wean myself off MJ. At least that was my plan!

Yes still nice and warm in Switzerland, @cloudjumper . But I hear you about slight weight gain - I can feel the skin folds on my stomach are getting thicker. I will try to control the snacking and add some more cardio in, before it gets out of hand. It's just a couple of pounds, shouldn't be impossible to get it under control again. I am a bit torn though because I track my weightlifting and it is significantly improved when I eat a little more. But there must be a balance somewhere, just need to find it.

@myladyjane solidarity on the grumpiness post GP appointment. It really sounds like they are not listening to you.

back from an amazing holiday in Brazil yesterday, too many pineapple and mango capirinhas to worry about weight so giving it a few days before I brave the scales I think!!

I can tell we are moving into autumn as I’m already craving mashed potatoes, anything covered in gravy and fruit crumbles. The urge to carb load and hibernate is STRONG!

Ordered the Look Fantastic grooming advent calendar for DS17 - missed it last year so got on the pre-order list this year. Christmas is coming! 🎄

i had a great holiday thanks @BreezyPeer! Well done on grooming AC too! I’m doing ds the same age a DIY one which I’m sure will end up costing more but he’s quite specific on what he likes!!! I was supposed to be starting a new contract job when I got back but issue with the contract and they haven’t signed with the co they had hoped to which is what I would have been working on, so back to the job search grind I think, sigh.

@ZempyI found the same before holiday, it just wasn’t having much of an effect and I had had mine open a fair few weeks. Just started a new one today so hoping it does its magic as def need to shift a few pounds! Hope it works for you too.

@HeidiLite, love the plans for a den! We have a reception room that has been a playroom and now a den, it has a couple of sofas, tv, gaming console and desk with pc for studying in it: we haven’t ever decorated it but it works and is well used. I think it’s important for them to have their own space.

I’m sure I’ve missed loads, sorry still catching up!
