Happy Monday all. I’ve just ordered a 12.5mg pen which I plan on eking 5 doses out of by counting the clicks. Just wanted to check - with the new style pens do they only all four doses no matter what or is dependent on clicks?
This pen will really really be my last one. I’m thinking it will get me through to the start of August and then I’m done with summer after that and can hide my fat back in baggy clothes. I also paid £100 today (please pray to the gods of Vinted for some sales) for a private pelvic floor physio session. The woman has given me hope that a prolapse isn’t unavoidable and that I should be able to improve things. I came out of the session and cried tears of relief. I’ve decided that I should spend my money on that rather than MJ for the time being because I really need to get fixed and I cannot keep waiting for the NHS to help me.

myladyjane · 15/06/2026 20:31

@Polkadotdash I am going to be utterly useless as I don’t have a new style pen yet. Would you use a syringe to extract? I am very pleased you saw the physio and hopefully can get some help.

i just checked and I’ve been maintaining for 2 months now and have stuck within a lb so my reverse dieting is going ok I think. I’m down from 11mg to 7.5 - still feeling a lot of suppression for my first couple of days and it lessens over the week - calories even out around 1400 per day which is probably not fair from my short assed maintenance but still feels like quite a bit of food. I’d like to come down more (dream is 2.5, 5 would be fine) but still early days.

Thelittlestranger · 15/06/2026 21:15

I messaged Oushk yesterday just to find out what I would need to do, to move from lifestyle maintenance to conti (ordering jabs again) Yes, I've continued to pay £15 per month so I would have a no quibble return to ordering again if I wanted to. It felt a small price to pay. Especially as it will be a year in a few months. I'm so sorely tempted to order one, just to not have to fight my self for one month, and not worry when I go on holiday, about what I'll gain.

PenelopePitstopPersists · 15/06/2026 21:21

It Will be click dependent @Polkadotdash , 250 ish clicks the same as before.

26inprogress · 16/06/2026 07:50

Hi all
So glad to hear you feel your session helped @Polkadotdash and that there seems to be an end in sight. Did the iron infusion help?
Good news on Oushk @Thelittlestranger.
I've resigned, I feel such a sense of relief, never in my life have I worked for such a narcissistic boss, the last 3 months have been horrendous and now I’m out of it I can see just what an impact it was having on my health. Life really is too short. I’m signed off with work related stress for my notice period which isn’t the way I would have liked to end it but there we go. I’m going to take some time to recover and sleep before starting the job search process again- sigh. On the upside, despite being under a lot of stress, cortisol levels probably being sky high and not sleeping well for 3 months, I’ve managed to largely maintain and avoid bingeing which would be my norm, thank god for MJ!

I’d also suggest an MRI if possible @MJalltheway, even for peace of mind.

@myladyjane, sounds like decreasing doses going well. I’m back on 5, definitely feeling more munchy but I’m going to stick with it for now I think.

HeidiLite · 16/06/2026 13:27

@26inprogress good for you! toxic work environment is really a killer, literally in many cases. Hope you feel better soon.
@Polkadotdash physio sounds really promising.

Over here, seems like I have totally lost any alcohol tolerance. I had 2 small beers in one evening ins pain - 2! Small! And while I didn't feel drunk or anything, I had a terrible night - heart rate way higher than normal, waking up several times, my health app screaming how bad the quality of sleep was. I did not expect this side effect.

Quick catch up before we head to the airport. Started off very well indeed with predominantly fish and salad meals then discovered the large jar of preserved cherries. There’s always something to throw me off kilter on holiday but I don’t think a scoop of ice cream and a spoonful of cherries will be too bad.

I’ve enjoyed Crete very much. Will stick it on the list to revisit as it’s a big island and a week isn’t really enough

HeidiLite · 16/06/2026 20:08

Non-scale win of the day: took the dogs to vet for their vaccinations. Vet asked what sports I do to be so muscular. 😁

@26inprogress I had to do the same about eight years ago. Horrendous micro managing boss who destroyed my self esteem. I was working eighty hour weeks trying to do all the (pointless) reporting he wanted done as well as my usual work and loads of additional work. It really impacted my physical and mental health. I resigned with nothing to go to and refused to have any contact with him other than by email in my final three months. Please take some time to recover, and spend time with people who will help you rebuild. I freelanced for a year to get my confidence back.

@HeidiLite I can’t drink either. Two glasses of wine last week and I was on the loo all night!

@Jins Crete is on my list. I have an actual physical written list! Glad you enjoyed it.

I am off to Dubrovnik this weekend. Never visited Croatia before. Very excited!

Jins · 17/06/2026 07:15

@26inprogress I did exactly the same thing about 15 years ago. I had the worst boss, a real bully, and I was so miserable I can’t begin to describe it. The feeling of relief when I handed my notice in was tremendous and there was something about dropping the safety net and seeing what turned up that felt very exciting. I had two calls from rival firms while I was driving home as word got out very quickly indeed. The vile boss had lost no time getting on the phone to tell clients I’d had some sort of breakdown and wasn’t trustworthy. The only damage he did was to his own reputation but if I met him in a dark alley there’s no telling what I’d do to him. Take your time over the next step, it can take ages to recover.

@Polkadotdash im glad to hear there’s a bit of movement regarding your health and pleased you found the appointment useful. Let’s hope the positivity continues.

@Zempy i really enjoyed Crete. We stayed a short distance from Heraklion in Stalis to make Knossos a straightforward trip. Our hotel was all we needed, scrupulously clean, lovely staff and good basic traditional food prepared well. There are some shocking reviews but for a three star it was very good indeed. Will definitely return to Crete but will try Chania or Rethymnon next time.

I’m still catching up so apologies to those I’ve missed mentioning.

HeidiLite · 17/06/2026 07:43

@Zempy @Jins same, I had such a micromanager I honestly could not even answer what my own name was before getting her approval. Horrendeous.
Mine made the mistake of trying to make me redundant. I didn't want to go, and all my stakeholders were really happy with my work. So boss was summoned to CEO to explain herself. She declared that it's either me or her that needs to go. CEO said fine, you go then! That was one beautiful day. Nobody missed her.

As for Crete, it is lovely and it's also quite spectacular how different the landscape is north and south. I would go for Chania next time.
Croatia is also lovely but if you want to see dubrovnik, wake up early before the cruise ship tours arrive!

Thanks for your support all, sorry you’ve all experienced it too! Sounds like a similar experience @Zempy. Had some really lovely messages from my team yesterday which made me feel much better and I’m now angry! Onwards and upwards and yes taking some time to recover and rebuild, I refuse to let her knock my confidence.
@HeidiLitesounds like fab times in Spain and go you with all the muscle compliments!!
@Jinssounds like you had a fantastic holiday, I’ve never been to Crete but fancy Rethymnon or Chania.
enjoy Croatia @Zempy!

Polkadotdash · 17/06/2026 12:05

Oh Rethymnon is absolutely beautiful. We went there in the pre-kids years. Would love to go back. The beaches on that side of the island are amazing.

Jins · Yesterday 08:50

I’ve done my post holiday weigh in and I’m up 2.6lbs to 8st 10.8. Not too bad really as there’s still a bit of fluid retention from flying coupled with some constipation.

I did a top up jab while I was away and was quite surprised to find that the few drops in the bottom of the pen turned out to be 0.42ml in the syringe so I’m on track to jab on my normal timetable. I’ve had really good suppression the last two weeks but managed to push through it like a champ. No interest in eating now I’m back so I’ll decide on dose later this week.

DS1 is away in Rhodes and has either sprained or broken his ankle but in his usual fashion has ignored my advice and has neither travel insurance or a GHIC. I’ve sent him details of how to get emergency cover but I think his plan is to strap it up and fly back on Friday as planned. Kids are the gift that keeps giving on the worry front.

Zempy · Yesterday 13:36

Well done @Jins that’s excellent. So frustrating to hear about DS. I have to admit I just buy my two annual travel insurance policies despite them being mid twenties!

Anyway, I am FEWMIN! I just flounced out of a TEAMS meeting for the first time ever. Dickhead bloke was putting words in my mouth, and the chair refused me the right to reply, so I said this is totally unacceptable and unfair, and I will leave you to it.

Shaking with rage.
