Thanks @HeidiLite I think I will order one, afterwards I thought well of course Vogue/ HB would suggest a swanky one, but I think I’ll give it a go.

Thelittlestranger · 31/05/2026 14:26

There is a load of research going into how important the facia is at the moment. Our bodies are really amazing.

In other news, OH and I are giving up snacking for the week. Let's see how we go and what the results are. 5pm snacking is my downfall, so dinner is going to have to be earlier than 730/8

Polkadotdash · 31/05/2026 19:12

@Jins ah I’m glad to have you in the exercise refusenik corner with me! I think there must be something wrong with me, like I’m missing the endorphins to enjoy exercise or something. The only joy I get from it is when it’s over. I can’t even say it’s a hatred from school as my school really didn’t care that I walked the cross county route or couldn’t swim a width of the pool until I was 10 😆. I’m just lazy I guess. And @Zempy the thought of the same bloody exercise every day forever would do my head in. Fair play to you for getting on with it.
I brought out the last box of my summer rotation clothing today. I read somewhere recently that the average person has 150 pieces of clothes. Jesus Christ I’ve got 150 different t shirts at least. I really need to cut down what I have and be realistic about what I do and don’t wear. I sort of have a fantasy wardrobe for thin and stylish me but she’s not shown up yet, so I just wear black comfortable stuff whilst I’m waiting.

26inprogress · 31/05/2026 21:58

I’ve well and truly fallen off the wagon, I’ve been bingeing and eating mindlessly for the past few days, a combination I think of stress, lack of sleep and a few other things. Work is horrendous, I’m working ridiculous hours and don’t feel like I’m achieving anything. Really need to think about what I do. Back on track tomorrow, determined not to let this derail me.
@Polkadotdashim sorry things are still rubbish, I hope you get some answers soon. Zempy, sorry to hear about your condition too but glad you’re doing what you need to do, however hard to give yourself the best opportunities. Can’t believe someone didn’t recognise you, you must look so different!!
@PenelopePitstopPersistssorry you’re not losing and have lots going on too, interesting to hear about the fascia, will have a read.
@Thelittlestrangerwell done on the long run and good luck on the snacking

sorry know I haven’t mentioned you all but I have read all your posts and love hearing how you’re all getting on. Hope you have good weeks !

myladyjane · 01/06/2026 08:08

@Polkadotdash I don’t really get the exercise endorphins either. I love outdoor swimming but that’s a sensory thing (water on limbs and being outside). It’s not got anything to do with exercise and the speed I toddle around at isn’t exercise either. The closest I get is weights at the gym but that tends to be after not during and is more about being physically tired. I like my running again because of being outdoors, having quiet time to myself and achieving a goal. My dh and my girls are all big exercise endorphin people and I don’t get it.

now help please maintainers. I have come down a bit (on about 8mg - 40 clicks from a 12.5 pen). After the weird rapid loss, I have settled and have been the same weight for about 3 weeks. I am definitely more hungry and have been sort of reverse dieting. So my question is do I eat a bit more on current dose (I defo could), or do I decrease the dose a bit more and let my food drift upwards. I am still getting full fairly quickly but caught myself picking the other day which used to be my biggest downfall.

I am feeling a bit more achey, less energetic etc than I was but I had a nasty virus a few weeks ago so it may be that. But slight worry of a drop off in the lovely anti inflammatory effects….

interesting chat with optician re mj. First time I have been since I started and she was saying she’s only seen one case where mj has impacted eyes but does now look out for it when she does the eye health checks and pointed out where it shoes up on the images. She was very interested and supportive.

Polkadotdash · 01/06/2026 18:49

@MJalltheway I saw that you mentioned POTS the other day. I finally got round to looking it up because I’d never heard of it. Oh my lord it pretty much describes every single one of the symptoms I have 😱. Thank you so much for mentioning it as I now have a new thing to ask my GP about that might possibly explain my endless fatigue. And hatred of exercise 🫣

MJalltheway · 01/06/2026 21:39

Oh wow @Polkadotdash ! That's exactly how my DD felt when she looked it up. She finds showering and washing her hair really exhausting and we'd just put it down to her b12 (she's also deficient in that....and iron...) but pots can cause it because of the low blood pressure and having your arms above your head. She loves exercising but just can't do it at the moment. We have a blood pressure monitor so we did the POTS test with that - have you
seen how to do that? You basically lie down for 5-10 minutes, take your blood pressure and pulse then stand up (stand still) and take readings again immediately and then every 2 minutes for 10 minutes. Her resting heart rate is about 95 then shoots up to 140-150 when she stands up and stays high which is a characteristic of POTS. Quite common in hypermobile girls!

Jins · 02/06/2026 08:39

I’m resisting googling as hard as I can but you’re making it tricky. I’ve had several episodes of standing up and going wobbly and I’ve got low BP and hypermobility. 😳

I think my overindulgence in Turkish delight and rose jam has caught up with me and I’ve just done a tiny top up jab to try to knock the sweet craving and eating on the head. I’m still hovering around 8 st 8/9 which is ok but I’m eating too much crap and I’m a bit constipated. I’m hoping this will help me to eat clean for a few days.

BreezyPeer · 03/06/2026 07:45

Morning losers and mainteners 🌄
Back from my weekend away which has seen me over my 'top goal' weight.
The friend I was going to see is a great cook but she is really unwell at the moment with a flare up of a chronic condition so we had an entire weekend of takeaway. Back ( barely) in my self imposed limit today.
I saw the Dr this week and have started HRT yesterday. I hope this will help with some physical symptoms but also, emotionally. Emotional eating is definitely a down fall of mine
Time away helped me to clarify some goals and helped me to understand the sort of routine I need going forward.

So, HRT, eating more mindfully, no late night snacks, pilates, and at least 2 weights sessions a week together with walking as often as possible.

Nothing difficult or radical but a nice reset.
I am away again next week. A mixture of work and time off but I will not have my usual house and home pressures so I want to use that time to make some routines stick.
@Thelittlestranger how is no snacking going? This is also my downfall so I an joining you in the challenge!
@Polkadotdash I am also in the hating exercise camp. Definitely school PE lesson related for me. I do enjoy certain things now but all individual, nothing sweaty and all on my timetable
150 shirts!!!! I definitely don't leave 150 items of clothing. I gave away/sold nearly everything with the weight loss and am trying really hard not to keep buying. However, I do need some summer clothes!
I hope the chat with the GP about POTS goes well
@26inprogress sorry to hear about your stressful work week. I am avoiding putting on the laptop by sitting on the patio right now!
@myladyjane in your situation I would reduce the dose but only because I am trying to slowly slowly titrate down to nothing. I'm not sure what your long term plan is?
@DGmaintaining how does your daughter feel? Is it a relief to know what is causing the symptoms?
@Jins I will join you in a clean eating break! In the gap between my two periods away I need to be very good!
Have a great Wednesday everyone xzz

Jins · 03/06/2026 09:18

I’m feeling very buoyant today as yesterday I managed to complete my two tax returns that HMRC sprung on me and not surprisingly I’ve overpaid £761. So that’s going to cover the next few pens. I’ve also managed to work my way through an application for a tax refund on interest paid on one of Mum’s investments so hopefully that will result in another useful chunk of cash.

Shotsy is showing estimated MJ levels at 8.61mg today and I’m loving it. My next dose will be the bonus dose from my 7.5mg pen which looks to be a decent one so may split it. Don’t want to go too high pre-holiday in case of side effects but I’ve not had any for months now so I’m probably being over cautious. I’ll probably take the dregs with me for a cheeky top up just in case.

Thelittlestranger · 03/06/2026 10:32

@BreezyPeer - by not snacking, I am realising how much I was snacking iyswim?!? Dropped 1.5lbs already, despite going out for dinner and drinks with my daughter on Monday in her uni town. Will keep going with it - it feels like it's the tool I needed. I've realised I woukd grab something every time I opened the fridge. Bit of chicken, crab stick, cold roast potato - and that's without including what I would eat pre-dinner (bread sticks, popcorn, pretzels) Hoping it's a good reset. Your plan sounds good!

myladyjane · 03/06/2026 11:00

@BreezyPeer I am planning to remain on it long term so would like to get dose as low as I can. I am a lot less achy now the heat has reduced and my hayfever is a bit easier so I think reduce too and gently allow myself to eat to my hunger. As long as the mj does its stuff stopping me from picking/over eating (which it definitely still is) I think I need to trust myself a bit more perhaps.

i get woozy all the time when i stand up - I fainted once. I am also hypermobile but my blood pressure is normal rather than low typically. I put it down to low blood sugar tbh. Again happens more in hot weather so I suspect a bit dehydrated

I want a summer dress if anyone fancies a shop. That I can wear to the office which is smart/casual but needs short sleeves. In a weird way I used to find it easier when I was bigger - being short I’d embrace the flowy flowery midi whereas now I want something which is still easy to wear but a neater cut, plain but in a summery block colour (I am a neutral light colour and suit a lot of greens and blues and purples but not navy or bottle green or black). Seems I am asking for the moon in a stick

how do you feel about linen? It says blend so may not be as wrinkly https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.1278042005.html

so I'm visiting my home country, seeing some friends tomorrow and pretty sure the weight loss topic will come up. Some friends will get the 'calorie counting app and loads of exercise' story, but I will probably actively talk one friend into considering the jabs, I see from her photos she has gained a lot of weight in the past couple of years, and knowing her, she does not love it one bit.
Had to miss gym today and I am not loving that part, especially as everybody keeps feeding me!

OP posts:
myladyjane · 03/06/2026 20:01

I like the H&M one - may go and find that and try. I tried a few similar ones there yesterday but the colours weren’t quite right but that’s a good blue for me (and I’m ok with a cotton/linen blend). Less keen on the stripes - they just don’t seem to suit me much for some reason, I always looks a bit wrong in them. Thank you!

Jins · 04/06/2026 08:31

This was my go to shape for office wear but i used to like a shirt dress too.

Ive managed to avoid snacking thanks to my little top up but a handful of jelly beans proved too tempting. Weight seems to be on the way down a little so I may be slightly up on pre holiday weight before I embark on the next greed fest. I keep having to remind myself that this is what happens to naturally slim people.

I’m due to order my next pen which means I’ll have to do photos. Not my favourite thing

Morning all. Just catching up after a manic couple of days at work. GP has finally caved in and given me some oestrogen patches. Hurrah. She made it sounds like it was kill or cure for me though. It was all very grave and serious and did I know what I was risking and that it really was a last resort to see if it would make me feel better etc etc. I’m not sure I could feel much worse tbh. And they refused to send me for an iron transfusion as I’m borderline anaemic, not fully anaemic do I have to wait until I am fully drained. She noted my questions about POTS but didn’t say much. I kind of felt a bit like a hypochondriac who’d convinced themselves they have a condition that they’ve read about!

Tell me though - with HRT is the goal to top up your missing hormones so that you are like you were before menopause/oophorectomy or is it to ease the downwards trajectory? And are you supposed to be on it forever?

PenelopePitstopPersists · 04/06/2026 09:28

Good news on the presctiption @Polkadotdash , I have no idea about HRT as I am not allowed to take it.

I love a shirt dress, definitely my staple style. I bought a bargainous dress from Sea Salt's ebay outlet for work, not a colour I would choose but I got it for £24, it is really flattering, I sized down. Dress.

I've actually just splurged on a dress for a gala dinner thing I am going to, I would never have done this at a size 18 because I always had losing weight on my mind - hopefully I will wear this for years. Splurge dressing up dress.

Jins · 04/06/2026 09:51

That’s a fabulous splurge dress but wtf is going on with the model’s shoes 😆. If ever there was a dress that didn’t need a clumpy pair of black, ill-fitting sandals….

I’ve just ordered a 10mg pen as it was a very good price compared to the 7.5mg so it’s on its way for £232. Not too bad. I’ve also remembered that I have credit on my Oushk account so I’m off to have a look to see what they’ve got to tempt me. There was some nice skincare stuff last time I looked. Had a survey from them yesterday about chef prepared premium meals that they are considering going into. If they manage that as well as they manage WLI they won’t last long.

PenelopePitstopPersists · 04/06/2026 10:17

That's Liberty for you @Jins - I've always loved Liberty but they can be a bit weird.

I've gone to Curely since I restarted (still not lost (or gained) an ounce so may not be for too long), they are the same price for a 10mg pen. They seem very straightforward, I've pushed my order period out to six weeks without issue as I am away at the four week point.

HeidiLite · 04/06/2026 19:33

@Polkadotdash so funny, my gynecologist was totally blase about HRT (oestrogel). That yeah your blood test are actually fine but no harm really, give it a try, see if you feel better..She should know her stuff I expect. I think it's for ever?

OP posts:
discov · 04/06/2026 23:50

Hi all, not sure if anyone remembers me from the original Jan threads. I think I dropped off around the price hikes as I decided to titrate down and come off completely! I managed to eke out my doses until just before Christmas.

I’ve decided to re-start and Oushk have accepted me on a new ‘maintenance’ plan as I am a previous customer. I’ve gained around a stone since November, which I am really unhappy about. I’ve started running (as a bonafide exercise loather!) which is the first consistent exercise I’ve really done in my entire 35 years. But my teen dd went through an extremely awful period with her mental health at the end of 2025/start of this year and I can’t even explain how stressful it’s been. Unfortunately I am a stress eater - specifically sugar and sweet things, and my diet has been terrible for months as I just haven’t had the head space to get back in control with everything else going on. Dd is now in a much better place (she’s attending a specialist school for students with medical needs for 4 hours a week, which is incredible considering how bad things were a few months ago) and I feel like I need to try and get back on track.

My DH encouraged me to restart after I’ve been going back and forth considering it, mostly due to the cost, and I’m really happy about my decision. I think I need to accept it’s a very long term thing for me. I felt incredible on MJ, and if I can feel that good again and also lose the stone I’ve gained then I will be thrilled. I am worried it’s not going to work at all this time around but have no actual reason to think like that.

I’ve got my weight verification call tomorrow and placed my order for 2.5mg tonight so hopefully that should be approved afterwards. I read that they have changed the pens and you can’t get the extra dose any more?!

Sorry didn’t mean for this to be so long! I’ve had a quick scan through and it’s nice to see many familiar names still here. I hope you’re all doing well! I am going to try and read back a bit and catch up.

Zempy · 05/06/2026 06:28

Welcome back @discov. How is DD doing now?

You are only ever as happy as your unhappiest child. 💐

BreezyPeer · 05/06/2026 07:42

@discov welcome back! I hope your daughter continues to improve and that the weight call goes well.

I am still eeking out my pens from the price hike so I might be joining you in restarting when I finish them up

@HeidiLite my uk GP was very similar about HRT. Asked me about it a couple of months ago when I went in for something else. I said I didn't want it then but she asked me to consider it as there are long term benefits.
Went back Monday and she asked me a few questions and wrote me a prescription for the combo I asked for.
She also weighed me and said I weighed the same as 2005! Which she said was very unusual
Good morning losers and mainteners! 🌄
Happy Friday, let's hope we all get through it OK.
I've got a tricky meeting this afternoon, let's see how that goes? But also going to fit in a visit to family at lunchtime as work takes me that way so . . . swings and roundabouts xx
