Let No.13 be lucky for all of us.

Good luck, losers.

All welcome!

I already know... it's one of my favourite facts about weight loss.

@Doggymummar
MMP are the cheapest for mj MJ.

£266 for a 15mg pen ATM.

But look through Monj.com for the best deals. Loads of the pharmacies have a discount for a first customer.

Edited

That's interesting thank you. MMP are now circa £10 to £14 cheaper now than Pharmalous on the higher doses.

@52soon that’s great re your hba1c!! I am also prescribed for diabetes (I had been struggling with very poor control - kept it low for years but the last few years have been bad and then my 3rd pregnancy didn’t help and last November I went up to 91). I’ve been told that I won’t get prescribed beyond 5mg - sounds like your Trust be different? Will you continue to be prescribed to maintain? (I really hope I will be as I’m finding it so helpful for how I feel). My next HBA1c will be in late July - GP said to give it a minimum of 4 months, and late July is a convenient way to remember as I will get it done before going on holiday.

Same.

@Theringcycle I don’t know if I will be able to keep getting it for maintenance but my bmi is still 36 (started at 47.8) so still a fair way to go.

Theringcycle · 20/04/2026 20:26

Thanks @52soon . I have a long way to go both for hba1c and weight but the diabetes dr has been clear I’m prescribed for diabetes not for weight as I don’t meet the requirements of the other conditions; I am hoping I’ll be able to stay on for hba1c reasons even if I get it to an improved level.

MCR24 · 20/04/2026 21:11

@SilenceInside I don't really have a plan except to go back to chicken and vegetable for tea each day rather than normal meals. I don't know how people eat 3 meals a day and maintain weight. 😕 Had a bit of a stressful weekend with activities so hopefully that might have contributed a bit.

SilenceInside · 20/04/2026 21:36

@MCR24 I think that a lot of people who don’t struggle with their weight just skip meals or eat a lot less without really thinking about it deliberately. Or they’re men. My DP is tall and can eat huge amounts of food, he’s a lot more sedentary than me and his weight never changes. So annoying.

Doggymummar · 20/04/2026 21:44

SilenceInside · 20/04/2026 18:45

@MCR24 sorry to hear about the 2kg gain, and feeling like 15mg is not working for you. Have you got a plan to change things up? I am bumbling around on 10mg pretty much stuck at 70kg fluctuating up and down, but not ever breaking into the 60s properly. I have two 10mg pens in stock, so feel like I need to stay on 10mg but I keep thinking I should just move up to 12.5mg.

@Doggymummar was that re-ordering with Oushk? The 7.2mg three pen deal, where you get 3 x 2.4mg pens?

@52soon congratulations on the HB1AC result, that's amazing news. The new rule about HB1AC being over 70 sounds incredibly harsh, as in very few people will have levels that high. I wonder if it's down to cost or some kind of clinical indicator.

Yes that's right

SilenceInside · 20/04/2026 22:42

@Doggymummar will Oushk monitor when you reorder as I though there were quite strict restrictions on getting the 3 pen bundle for the 7.2mg dose?

I didn't see anything about that @SilenceInside I thought it was just a bundle deal, maybe short dated ? 7.2 isn't a dose is it, so you would jab three times in a day? I'll drop them an email as I was expecting 3 months worth of 2.4 which is what I said in the notes section.

SilenceInside · 21/04/2026 08:50

@Doggymummar I remember when the pharmacies starting getting approval for the 7.2mg dose, only a few have been allowed to offer it and yes it's meant to be 3 injections on the same day. There's some explanation on the Oushk page

FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping · 21/04/2026 11:25

Hello losers! I'm afraid I haven't been keeping up at all so sorry for anything I have missed.

I have FINALLY gone over the 7 stone lost mark. I was in a real funk as I seemed to get stuck hovering up and down the same few pounds. Have just upped the dose to 12.5mg and seem to be going in the right direction again. Losing the last stone I've lost has taken about 11 weeks, which feels very slow indeed, although I suppose it's a bit more than a pound a week.

NSVs abounded when I had a week's holiday in Malta the other week. Oodles of space on the plane. Spare capacity in the seatbelt. Not once worrying about fitting into chairs with arms in cafes. Bounding up hills and staircases without a care in the world. Wearing a size 16 swimming costume and feeling broadly OK about how I looked in it. Happy days.

TragicMuse · 21/04/2026 12:58

I can identify with that @FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping it feels very familiar!

Today’s NSV is they I am out wearing my size 12 jeans and they’re comfortable! Not insanely tight, not particularly muffin-y, and I don’t feel like a zeppelin in a condom (Thanks to AbFab for that phrase!).

Of course, it’s going to go birthday-cake shaped as I’m away for my mum’s birthday, but I’m at the weight I wanted to be for these few days.

HURRAH!

user593 · 21/04/2026 15:23

@FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping Congratulations! That’s where I’m hoping to be (7st down, size 16) when we go to Greece in mid-July (currently a bit over 5st down, size 18/20). I could do up the airplane seat belt on our recent holiday (hurrah!) but it was only just. Must feel amazing to have room!

user593 · 21/04/2026 15:24

Zeppelin in a condom 🤣 @TragicMuse. My size 20 jeans are getting a bit loose. It’s a lovely feeling isn’t it!

Thank you for posting that. At least I won't be surprised when they decline me. It would be helpful if that popped up when you order the dose! It doesn't even appear on my phone screen when going through the process 😔

SilenceInside · 21/04/2026 15:42

@Doggymummar no worries. Are you on 1.7mg Wegovy at the moment, or 2.4mg?

@TragicMuse congratulations on the size 12 jeans! Are you going to reveal the "where does the lost weight go" amazing fact?

Doggymummar · 21/04/2026 17:38

1.7 but it's doing nothing @SilenceInside

Thanks @SilenceInside!

The amazing fact is that it gets converted to CO2 and water. So you breathe, sweat and pee it out!

Imagine! You literally breathe it away!

SilenceInside · 21/04/2026 19:22

@TragicMuse when I’ve lost weight overnight I imagine my bedroom is full of CO2 that I’ve just been breathing out. I had a funny thought that the CO2 might be contributing to global warming, but apparently it’s carbon neutral!

TragicMuse · 21/04/2026 21:27

Oh hah! I love that!

SilenceInside · 22/04/2026 13:35

This is quite an interesting article about the process of your body breaking down stored fat and excreting it via breathing:

https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/287046

(apologies for the article containing the "eat less, move more" phrase)

Fffreeeeezing · 22/04/2026 14:54

I've had 2 different people comment on my appearance today at work (positively I hasten to add!).
I'm genuinely baffled by one of them who seems to be under the illusion that it's simply because of 'going to the gym'. She kept asking how many times a week I go. If only it was as easy (and cheap!) to just do a bit of exercise and hey presto. Some people have some very weird perceptions of what it takes!

MrTiddlesTheCat · 22/04/2026 15:46

Look what I got!
