Bleah, another one here with no victories this month. Have basically been bobbing up and down around the same 5 lbs for 4-6 weeks. Not helped by multiple friends' birthday dinners in the past month plus lots of stress-induced snacking. But I already reordered my next pen so I can't go up a dose for another month. In the meantime got some nice salmon and lots of salad making stuff in my groceries this morning, in hopes that I will at least be eating very healthy regardless of numbers up and down on the scale.

I think that's a really good way to look at it - sometimes the obsession with scale numbers detracts from the other benefits, and putting healthy stuff in your body is a real win, no matter what the scales say.

@UsernameShmusername2024 10 stone! That's amazing , well done, 🥳 you should feel so proud of yourself.

I have worked out that I have lost a whole person with a healthy BMI. And I'm still obese!

The range of sizes at the same weight is fascinating. At 14 stone 2lbs I'm still in size 22 clothes. But I dont know if this is because I am a funny shape (barrel balanced on sticks) or because I am now too used to clothes which are baggy. 'Fitted' feels constricting.

Thank you 😊

Agree the size/weight thing is interesting - so much variation! I'm 5ft 7in and a pear shape, don't know if that makes any difference. I was a size 26/28 when I started.

Other thing actually is that the new clothes I've bought are all from George or Tu and have heard others say they're more generous 14s/16s than in other places, so not sure if I'm this size reliably across other shops. Either way, I'm happy!

Has anyone had any issues with dizziness / fainting whilst on wli?

I often get a bit lightheaded when I first get up which Google tells me is nothing to worry about and to take longer getting up, but this morning after feeling woozy I found myself sat on the floor crashing into the wardrobe door with no recollection of how I got there so pretty sure I fainted.

Tested my blood sugar as my husband has a kit for his diabetes and it was 4.6 so its not low blood sugar.

Last time I fainted was about 20-years ago when I was a similar weight to now and on that occaison I went to my Uni GP who looked at my like I was stupid and basically said not to worry about it.

I'm wondering if I should try electrolytes?

SilenceInside · 17/04/2026 16:49

Do you have a home blood pressure machine @Janie934or can you access on at your GP? I wonder if it might be low blood pressure?

Fffreeeeezing · 17/04/2026 16:53

@Janie934 have you checked your blood pressure?

I get dizzy when mines low, in fact I once fainted and fell down the stairs because I got up too quickly, that was during a previous weight loss journey.

Can be due to the drop in weight and sometimes you might be a bit low on salt (add more to your food, I felt better after I started doing that)

Theringcycle · 17/04/2026 17:04

@UsernameShmusername2024 amazing stuff re your 10 stone loss! Inspirational x

Janie934 · 17/04/2026 17:13

@silenceinside @Fffreeeeezing thank you both for your replies.

I don't think my blood pressure is low in general as I had it checked last week and it was normal, but Dr Google came up with orthostatic hypotension as a possible cause (temporary low blood pressure when standing up).

I'm just puzzled as to why it is suddenly happening.

I stopped adding salt to food (thinking that was healthier!), so maybe I should add some back in.

Putyourleftarmin · 17/04/2026 18:10

Hey everyone,

I'm a few days post taking the 15mg doses I don't want to sound like a whiner but I was hoping the suppression would be really good and restrict my appetite and desire for chocolate a lot more. I hear you on the Easter bunnies balls- my kids got a HUGE amount of Easter chocolate- and it's all just around, waiting to be eaten ignored!

Im getting back into some exercise too & trying to just keep doing what I was doing when the weight loss was going well.

I still need to see how things go, I guess it's still early days getting back on track post surgery but you know when something doesn't feel quite like you were hoping.

Can I ask everyone what they do about the day they jab vs the day they weigh? Are they the same day for you or do you weigh part way through the week.

Happy Friday!

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 17/04/2026 19:01

@Putyourleftarmin I jab on Friday night and weigh Sat morning (well, I weigh most days but record the Sat morning weight!) Not sure why, I think because at the beginning I felt like Sat morning was when I 'started' as I'd eaten normally on Fri. In some ways it is annoying because I don't have full information about my losses when I jab in case I want to change my dose, but maybe that's better as it means I have to consider carefully during the week rather than make a knee jerk decision from one rogue result

PearlsTeapot · 17/04/2026 19:26

@UsernameShmusername2024 AMAZING!!! Ten stone klaxon!!! I am proud of you, I hope you are really proud of yourself.

I know what you mean about life being better at 15 stone- I'm now 15.4 so we're twinning and I was just musing the other day that if it had to stop here, I'm a million times happier in this body. I'd still love to lose a significant amount more but having hit this point I feel so much better.

@Putyourleftarmin get the chocolate hidden and out of sight! I sensibly ate it all so I couldn't be further tempted 😋it's mini eggs, they're like crack to me! Thank goodness the shops have emptied out of them now. I weigh on Sunday morning and jab Sunday evening, always done it on the same day just to make it easier to track the weeks.

@Janie934 I get light headed when I get up too quick in the mornings, it's got worse since I went up to 5mg. I just try to remember to get up slowly. Hope you're ok, must of been horrible fainting.

Janie934 · 17/04/2026 19:33

Thanks @PearlsTeapot. It was more confusing than anything. My DH heard me bang into the wardrobe and asked if I was ok / what happened and I just sat there on the floor trying to remember. At first I thought I'd stumbled but when I explained it to him out loud it was quite clear I'd fainted.

I'm another member of the 15st club and agree that life is so much better at this weight. I find it hard to imagine how I moved in a body that weighed about 11st / 70kg more than I do now, but that was my reality less than 2 years ago.

I jab every five days and weigh myself every morning.

Hey, I've only got 7lb to go, as well!

Nearly there. If I could resist the Bourbons which I bought for my son's visit, I might get there a bit faster.

These comments have really made me laugh!
@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne 1901!! 🤣 When did you start? (sorry for not picking up before)

and @UsernameShmusername2024 that is just incredible!! Well done! 🥳

Ive been weighing most days first thing in the morning, maybe I'll continue & then pick a day to record weekly.

But I might also change my day for the injection- currently Monday but I think it's better in time for the weekend

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 17/04/2026 21:09

When did you start? (sorry for not picking up before)

Just before dear Queen Victoria acceded the throne. 1837.

I jab on a Sunday night, so that I eat really well mon-fri and relax over the weekends. I like it that way, Sundays are my eat anything days.

Putyourleftarmin · 17/04/2026 23:44

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne Even better!!

@PearlsTeapot that's a good idea too. I realised quickly I couldn't jab in the evening as I then had quite a bad tummy ache and felt sick over night and no-one wants to be waking up at 3am for a pooso stick to earlier in the day, but makes sense with Sunday being more relaxed

MummyInTheNecropolis · 18/04/2026 07:11

Morning all, just popping on to say hello and congratulate you all on your brilliant progress. Weigh in day for me yesterday and I stayed the same again which I’m really pleased with. I hit my target in December so have managed to maintain for 15 weeks now after losing 13.5 stone.

Also wanted to offer some hope for those worried about loose skin/flabby bits/weird body shapes! Despite maintaining and not losing anymore weight I have noticed major changes to my body recently. I have exercised a lot throughout, I walk loads (20k steps daily), run and do yoga and Pilates. Since January I also introduced strength training with weights and this seems to be having the biggest impact. I now do a 30-45 min daily workout with dumbbells and resistance bands, I have become so much stronger and can actually see defined muscles in my arms and legs. I do still have some loose skin on my thighs which are my worst area but everywhere else has improved so much. I no longer have bingo wings, my stomach is still slightly wobbly but so much better than before and my bum is a lot firmer!

I’ve also dropped from a size 10 to a size 8 despite the fact that my weight hasn’t changed - it’s purely due to the changes in my body composition. I started out as a size 24 (which were getting tight on me)! So to be wearing size 8 jeans is just unbelievable - I regularly have to pinch myself!

Anyway, I hope this helps some of you to know that changes are possible and it’s not all down to numbers on the scales!

Weigh in day today and another kilo off, which obviously I'm really happy with, but it's left me tantalisingly close to being under 15stone! 15 stone is a big marker for me as it's what I weighed when I was around 17, and for a long time I never managed to get under that as an adult. I did it on SW a few years ago but didn't manage to keep it off for long so it will be a big milestone when I get there, hopefully next week! Also my BMI today is bang on 35 so that will also be a big achievement to be 'only' obese!
