We have all been on for heading up to 20mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health
most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it

And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did
Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots

I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.
To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely - and we are finding it def harder to keep weight off with lower doses

only 2 words to say 😂😂

I’m still trying to work out the cost of tablets, but obviously it’s only for W not MJ

I know you need to take them daily, so it’ll be a lot harder to half a dose unless you then take them alternative

Jumping once a week, it’s easy. I’m not sure what they can’t do a weekly pill

it’s the same dose where a daily pill would be a seventh each day.

I never went over to try the wegovey , quite glad as it would of annoyed me not working as well. As MJ works amazing.. if I did I probably wouldn't want the tablets anyway as I quite like doing the jab.

Im very tempted to go grey market too, I know I may get hate on here for that, but it is what it is..

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/06/2026 21:56

Weigh day here. 9st 3 still in my window 😀 first week with no jab and its been OK actually. My tastes have changed so much that im not bothered about all the foods I would have binged on in the past. Feeling cautiously optimistic

Azuresky68 · 09/07/2026 21:07

Good evening! Posting here and on the maintenance thread. I am still on a dose of 10mg and not going down until I get back to my realistic goal of 8 stone 7 pounds. Previously stayed at 8 st 5 pounds for 5 months but it was big struggle Currently at 9 stone after a shocking 7 pound gain after holidays. Managed to lose 4 pounds of that. Lots of reasons to not count calories..holidays, my 70th birthday on Monday, meals out etc.
To lose weight when near to target I need to be on 1000 calories but that's a bit too low really for various health reasons.
On days I calorie count I am aiming for 1250 but i really struggle. Do you think the jab diminishes it's effect after long term use? It's nearly two years now since I started. Reached my goal last August and maintained for 6 months then Christmas, holidays and celebrations meant slowly crept up to over 9 stone after my recent holiday. Just a bit disheartened that I haven't managed to reduce to 5 as I had planned. Also as I said not feeling the same reduction in appetite as i used to have, although food noise is still reduced. So scared of regaing and also feeling bad that I can't stick to calorie deficit to lose the 7 pounds I am desperate to lose.

Azuresky68 · 09/07/2026 21:14

I forgot to say I was already over my 8 stone 7 target when I went on holiday, so the gain put me up to 9 st 4 pounds. That was a hugely scary weight..nowhere near a reasonable ball park 😳 Some advice and reassurance badly needed please 🙏

FurForksSake · 09/07/2026 21:15

I definitely don’t think I get the impact the same as I used to. However, I get some weeks where suppression is randomly high. I’ve had a bad week and haven’t weighed for two weeks. I feel a bit fluffy. I’m hoping that my jab tomorrow will give a good week of suppression and I can get back in to the swing of things.

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/07/2026 22:05

agree Doesn’t seem to be the same impact as I’m experience hunger now

not a bad thing to know and recognise and doesn’t seem to impact me and sticking within my 3 lbs

I am still stable /ballpark so happy with that

I know you won’t went to hear this @Azuresky68 but is it that bad to be 9s

you are really struggling to get back to your first lowest weight loss of 8/5 or even 8/7

and that’s on 10 and can’t seem to shift it

I said to try 12.5 to nudge body to see if can get to 8/7 but I think your body is happy being heavier (sorry)

when you were at your lowest was you on a higher dose? Can’t rem if you got to 15 like me

I get July is harder as it’s both our birthdays. You are few days before me 💐🍸

Thanks @Blondeshavemorefun The last half stone was hard to shift and had to go up to 15 for a couple of weeks and then 12.5. It's just scary to think my weight is drifting upwards on 10. Got a few nice things coming up too...4 days away for a wedding, 2 days away staying with friends and away on Monday. I was so focused on reducing dose but after a lifetime of being unhappily overweight I will need to accept I can't do it with MJ. A very happy birthday to my fellow Crustacian....any nice plans?

Azuresky68 · 10/07/2026 09:58

Once again thanks for your support and advice. Still stuck at 9 stone today and away on Monday for 11 days. From my twenties onwards I would have been delighted to have been 9 stone and struggled to get there or stay there when I got there! Been doing the weight loss thing all my life - 'chubby' kid, got to 7 stone 12 pounds when I was 21 after going to slimming club, went up to 14 stone when I was 50, then settled between 11 stone and 9 st 7 after that..always worried and guilty about eating and drinking, looking for clothes to cover up. Now at 70 I am feeling bad about being 9 stone instead of 8 stone 5! Guess it's the fear of slowly creeping up. Good luck on weigh day @Blondeshavemorefun

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/07/2026 12:59

Ah thanks! As of 6th July I am officially 70!! Well done on maintaining 😍

MabelSpan · 10/07/2026 14:01

Aww @Azuresky68 dont be too hard on yourself. You have done so incredibly well and you look fantastic! Have you considered ditching the scales and using a bit of string or a belt around your waist instead? Thats what I plan on doing when I get to my goal. I still have a long way to go though!
