We have all been on for heading up to 20mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health
most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it

And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did
Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots

I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.
To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely - and we are finding it def harder to keep weight off with lower doses

only 2 words to say 😂😂

Hello team! Twenty months. Wow.

I injected 39 clicks of 12.5, had some veggie sushi for lunch but couldn’t finish it. Hoping for a stable week.

MabelSpan · 06/03/2026 14:30

Hi everbody!

I am still here, just lurking at the mo, will post a proper update again soon. Hope you are all well 😊
Thanks for the new thread and lovely introductory post @Blondeshavemorefun you always do us proud 😊

NippyNinjaCrab · 06/03/2026 15:14

Thanks for the new thread bombshell 🥰

My order has been approved and arrives Wednesday. I've not told my Husband, I feel he wont agree for me to lose weight to the excess or what he thought was excess previously. My friend who has lost on MJ and maintaining is the only one who knows. We have made a deal that we will do some form of weight bearing exercise daily, we both have physio plans lol, and I need accountability or what's the fecking point. I am lazy, I know it.

I think I should have stayed on MJ for at least a year after reaching my goal to learn to cope with emotional eating. The cost freaked me out. Now I know this is long term as in long long, I feel I have fallen at the first crisp sandwich and didnt stop. Arghhh.

Xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/03/2026 20:12

I try my best 🥰 @MabelSpanlovely to hear from uou. Do update

Hello new thread and Happy Saturday gang. I'm not at goal but am stuck not losing. So I've made an exercise plan with weights, walking and some pilates exercises. Ive ordered a 12.5 today (saved a few quid too :D ) instead of 15 so am gonna try and come down to 10, then go back up to see if I can Kickstart some weightloss. Worth a try!

Hindsight is a wonderful thing! None of us know what will work, we are all winging it! The important part is we observe, we monitor and we adjust before it goes too far. Well done you 🙂

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/03/2026 09:20

Sorry having sts issues @PoemsForTea. Hopefully changing will kickstart you - how much more do you want to lose and what have you lost.

and yes we are winging it - an ive learn that going down to 2.5 is too low for me and do those who stopped and gained weight - that will def happen to me so I’m not stopping - I’m just not sure how to pay for it at the moment

@Blondeshavemorefun could you sell pictures of your feet? 🤣 I’m just pleased I’m a b6 and it’s my increment year, 1st of August will be very welcome.

I had a load of bloods done at rheumatology and just realised I could access them from the hospital portal instead of nhs app. They are all really good!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/03/2026 09:46

B6?

not sure these trotters would earn me any money 😂😂

Band 6, nhs, we get increments at 2 years and 5 years I think?

Azuresky68 · 07/03/2026 10:05

Good morning and Happy Saturday everyone. Just a quick one..sending support and empathy to everyone on the thread. Like a few people on here I am struggling with maintenance..weighed in at .6 of a pound less than last week and now I definitely am counting the small losses. I am still struggling to lose 5 pounds above the weight I maintained for 6 months..July to December 2025. But it's not good for my general health and bone health to be on 1000 cals. I am on around 1250 which means a much slower loss and of course it's so hard when its a relatively small amount. Positive thoughts to all 💐💐💐💐

NippyNinjaCrab · 07/03/2026 10:07

Howling at the trotters 😂😂
I have the ugliest feet ever, we could earn a fortune @Blondeshavemorefun

@PoemsForTea he is supportive to a degree, there are two factors with him. The main one is he thought i was too thin at 10st 10lbs. This was when we were on holiday, I agree I had chip stick legs and literally no arse but that was my doing because I didn't do any resistance training. Plus I got a bug on holiday so for a week I didn't eat much and was shitting out my insides so lost more weight. The second concern is financial but I have went through my finances and streamlined things. If I start low low and make a pen last 6 weeks anyway I can manage to afford a 2.5mg pen.

I really struggle daily with pain and fatigue so its a battle of feeling so guilty not doing things but if I do too much I am out of action and I need to be active and functioning for the dogs. I prioritise them first, then the household things and then me. He has stepped up a bit. I feel guilt that I dont work now, but I think I would have an easier life going to work 😂😂

Started at 17.9 - I am currently 12.7 and aiming loosely for 11.7-11.10. But not fixated, just seeing where I land really. I may get there, I may not -importantly I'm in a way better shape than I was 18months ago 😆
Aiming for strong now. Last weekend I struggled to get up from sitting on the floor with arms folded. (Am 53) Today I did it easily - so after only a week a big improvement from some small changes. That motivates me more than the numbers 🙂

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/03/2026 13:10

Mine look better than that. Freshly done last week

@Azuresky68what made your weight increase ?

mine was going down to 2.5 but agree not good for health at 1000. I Cope on 1300 just but hard

going back on a pen will help with pain hopefully @NippyNinjaCrab so think of it as a health pain management and not weight loss

It will be interesting to see if I do find a relief with pain @Blondeshavemorefun . I am only on paracetamol now along with Naproxen. I do have the Nefopam which do work well but I cannot take them tbh.

If I can get to 11st 7lbs then I will do 11st 4lbs then 11st and see how I am feeling with my body. My latest weigh in was 11st 13lbs ffs. I look disgusting, the weight all piles on the middle xx

20bloodypounds · 07/03/2026 17:15

Thanks for the new thread @Blondeshavemorefun and for your lovely welcoming first post. It has indeed been a journey, and despite navigating side effects early on, the odd bout of sickness (I've vomited 3 times in 20 months which is probably about the same as the previous 20 years!) it has been a good journey, with good companions.

I had a hospital appointment last week and it felt so good to answer questions about my height and weight and to KNOW (without having to exaggerate how tall I was, or under-report my weight) that I would sit fully within a healthy BMI and not pose any adverse anaesthetic risk. And not worry about being judged for my overweight condition contributing to my health.

@Azuresky68 hope things are not too rocky, I've sent you a pm.

@FurForksSake on the last thread you psoted something about still needing to reduce body fat by 3%. Please don't get too fixated on those numbers - they might be ideal for someone in great physical shape, but you've had a heck of a lot of challenges in recent months. Maybe aim to gradually increase excercise and muscle over the next 6 months. Some people might manage a 6 week bootcamp but I guess that's not for you. Take it slow and steady, aim to lose 1% fat per year.

@NippyNinjaCrab When I was first on MJ I think I lost most fat from my face, boobs, legs and arms - the stuff around my abdomen was more stubborn. So yes, I think I looked a bit 'thin' for a while (even above BMI 25) because people could see my face and my baggy jeans. But I've been at maintenance since last summer and I think things have redistributed a bit, plus pilates and weights has helped with muscle definition. Or maybe I've just got more used to looking like this? My dh is strongly against most kinds of medication (he's seriously fit and outdoorsy, runs up mountains in his late 60s) and I have never told him about MJ. I'm doing it quietly in my own way, sorting out my own health. He didn't know every detail of my menstrual history and medication, and I feel no more need to tell him about this. It helps that I lost a lot of weight several years ago, (put it all back on, of course!) and he assumes I did the same this time.)

Also @NippyNinjaCrab we've not seen any recent photos of your lovely spotty companions...

Christmas, NY and holidays plus going down to 7.5...now back on 10

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/03/2026 17:38

I hope you do @NippyNinjaCrabas I know it def helps my ankle/knee/hip pain

I’m still on naproxen and co codimal but much lower dosages

I’m sure you don’t look disgusting at 11-13 - and think you said lowest was 10-10 so you have put a stone on is that right ?

@20bloodypounds we all support each other here an it’s a lovely thread I think

how does dh think you did it ?

thi you always have holiday @Azuresky68 - tho I get the lower dose. My difficulty started when I went to 2.5. Wish I had stayed on 5 tbh

Morning, I told him last night, he said he really couldn't be against it as he's struggling with his weight. He did mention the financial aspect but it is my own money.

@20bloodypounds thank you for that lovely post, I will add some pics of the brats. Now that we have moved the middle child has calmed down significantly. Considering my former neighbours son tormented him daily that wouldn't be a surprise.
The puppy (20mths) is a joy every day, and my chocolate chip girl is my ❤️ dog she is 8 this month. Time passes quickly in dog years. Xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/03/2026 09:03

@NippyNinjaCrab glad you told him and didn’t he use it last year as well so he can’t really not support you

tho sad didn’t come from the married pot

knob dog is 20mths now - same age as our group roughly

was he really a pup when we started

OP posts:
NippyNinjaCrab · 08/03/2026 09:10

Knob dog is the middle child, puppy was born May 24 so yes he was a baby when we all started. We don't have a marriage pot as such. Yes he tried and failed on MJ because the dose was too low and he didn't want to pay and go up. My friend bought the 5mg from me when it arrived as he didn't want to take it.

NippyNinjaCrab · 08/03/2026 09:12

Pics incoming

NippyNinjaCrab · 08/03/2026 09:13

Strange I have tried to add pics and twice they haven't loaded despite no errors. Weird. X
