We have all been on for heading up to 20mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health
most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it

And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did
Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots

I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.
To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely - and we are finding it def harder to keep weight off with lower doses

only 2 words to say 😂😂

Shock horror!! Was going to resist getting on scales for a week after 2 weeks holiday..but I weakened...scales are lying to me...7 pound gain!!!

Azuresky68 · 27/06/2026 10:48

That puts me over 9 stone for first time in 18 months - last time was January 2025 AND I am still jabbing 10! That's 11 pounds over my revised goal of 8 stone 7 or even worse 13 pounds over my previous goal of 8 st 5 pounds

FurForksSake · 27/06/2026 11:18

@Azuresky68 you’ve caught it. You know a lot of that will be fluid retention from the weather and holiday. Maybe a couple of weeks of tight tracking and see how that goes?

Thanks for replying. Yes agree with you. It was such a shock. I really wanted to reduce from 10 but can't see that happening. Hope you are doing OK with your health issues. I am hoping that I am on the list for ablation to kill nerves that are causing back pain..waiting to hear from the consultant after diagnostic injections..and still waiting for date for parathyroid surgery.

FurForksSake · 27/06/2026 14:59

I can’t believe you are still waiting!

I have my gynae procedure on Monday, current have period pain and a migraine and a weird pressure / sore face which is annoying. I’ve started letting my physio do some acupuncture and that’s helping marginally with my back which is good!

FurForksSake · 27/06/2026 14:59

I’m still on 12.5. I need to start tapering!

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/06/2026 08:39

Oh @Azuresky68. Always with a weigh but you know some of it will be water /flying but also means next week you should have a whoosh and lose 4lbs +!

sorry over 9s but it will come off

did you eat and drink a lot more even on 10?

I think you need to get the 8s 5 lb goal out of your head. You got there yes but struggle to keep it there so it’s not yours body natural weight

iyswim

so make your goal to be 8/7 or even 8/9 and not be so hard on yourself 💐

I didn’t reliese you were still on 12.5? @FurForksSake

am other only one who has been reducing ?

@Blondeshavemorefun
Agree that probably 8 stone 7 is about right. I know you are right and that's what I would say to other people but you will also understand how shocking it is to be actually a stone more than I was last August!!
Can you believe that i can do that on 10? Anyway i am not defeated or down because I know I can do it..but only with MJ

Azuresky68 · 28/06/2026 10:48

I didn't overeat either! And because we are all in it together and been through it together you can imagine how you would feel in my situation! With the help of our little group I will pick myself up and get back down again ..to under 9 stone!

FurForksSake · 28/06/2026 11:19

I reduced down to 7.5 but then went back up as I went back to work and life went to trash with mil dying and things. I didn’t feel I could manage tapering and maintaining with life being so just constantly awful.

I try 💐💐
and as you said that’s the advise you would give me and others

so take it 😛😘

tho I know you went to be lower but as it seems a struggle to stay there , cut yourself some slack and be 8.7 or slightly higher

I know you want to be less and managed it last year but that was possibly on 15?

like I got to 10.1 I think on 15 but I def can’t and don’t want to keep it there

I like 10.4 to say I’ve lost 7s as was 17.4 but I think my body likes 10.7. I’m that end of my ballpark much more then the low end of 10.4

its 3 lbs difference. Thats half a poo baby 💩👶😂👶💩

so as long as I’m 10.4 - 10.7 im happy

but if creep up to 10.8 which I did once and I said on here. I cut back and following week back in ballpark

far easier to lose a few lbs then a few stones

as like you my target was a stone higher. I wanted to hit 11s and stopped dieting /low cals and upped to think 1800 and still lose weight for ages hence getting to 10.4

you will get back to under 9s

maybe go up to 12.5 to kick start body to get the weight off

it’s easier to maintain then lose

@FurForksSake I totally get life gets in the way

the past 2yrs of losing weight and a husband - paying for mj and a divorce has def stressed me out

but over all dd and I are much happier. Just I’m much poorer

would love my premium bonds to come in. Not a million. Im
it greedy lol

but £25k would be amazing

Still under 11 stone but im right up to 10.12 this morning, but good news is i know why, weekend of eating out and drinking wine and the weather.. so not too worried, . Yet..

Also I braved the 7.5mg . I was so tempted to say fuck it and do another 10 but I really want to see if I can do this with lower mg . Think this week will def be ok as last week with my bonus dose it was 12.5 from my 10 pen. So still high levels in me, it will be a few weeks time where I should feel the difference. We'll thats my thinking.. who knows.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/06/2026 12:16

Well done for going lower @morbidcuriosity. I do notice I’m on 7.5 and I went to drop to 5 again

I have officially taken my last dose of mj (hopefully!) I jabbed every 10 days with this last pen and last jab was Friday so I'm now going it alone 😬 my ballpark is 9 st 2 to 9st 5 and I've been in it for a couple of months so feel hopeful. I know what I need to do i just have to do it! Sitting at a comfortable size 8 -10 and apart from ridiculous amounts of loose skin feeling good about my shape. I bless the day I decided to start the jab, has genuinely changed my life.

Just a little funny thought for you.
I was with a friend yesterday and near lunch time she said she was starving as not eaten since yesterday, so we had lunch.
The funny thought is was to me I have not been starving for 2 years, I remember the feeling of needing food so bad as was soo hungry, now if someone said no you cant have any lunch it wouldn't bother me in the slightest.. just, ok ill wait for dinner.
For a while there I was remembering what starving felt like.

FurForksSake · 30/06/2026 10:28

Yesterday had a gynae under general. They brought me the menu in advance and I excitedly ordered a cous cous salad with falafel. It was fab. Also managed to go 24 hours without solid foods. I had protein shake for dinner and breakfast. I was so paranoid about aspirating. The anaesthetist was shocked when I said I’d lost six stone. And that I’ve been taking it for two years 🤣

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/06/2026 13:40

@morbidcuriosity I still get hunger. More so that downed a dose

I still eat 3 meals a day

hope it all went well @FurForksSake
